How are all you new mummies doing?

we have pizza ordered just waiting for dr who at the rediculous time of 8:30! seriously, 8:30 for dr who?! im glad i dont kids of dr who watching age because that would be a pain in the arse!

mark fed luke something today and he puked it up - propper puke! all over everything! i had to take his saucer apart to clean it and put the seat in the washer... regurgitated vegtable tomao pasta all over my carpet!loovely.

also me hubby and luke played a gme of monopoly today - milenium monopoly and i beat them awfully and made them surrender all their property to me and i ended up with £86,110,000 and all the property/utilities and irports and they had nothing to their name... im ruthless and ill have to strip that bacjk by the time luke actually plays these things for real or i immagine he would cry lol.

We had to go to church at 6:15 tonight as Chris and Jack can't go sun mornings because rugby has started. Hard work with Emma, and whinging Maddie. But needed to speak to our priest about baptism. So home late, then had to cook so I'm sitting here with the kids counting down the minutes till they go to bed.

Lol re monopoly. Did Luke not try to eat the pieces? The girls had a board game out earlier, and every chance Emma got she made a break for it and was commando crawling across the room.lol

Oh and we got nowhere with our baby proofing. Chris went in the loft and couldn't find any of the gates or guards or bits to lock cupboards etc.

We got a lie in 'til 8.30 am this morning. Would've felt nicer if we hadn't been up 1-3am and again 6-7am!

We were meant to tidy house today to make a start on baby proofing. All we ended up doing was mowing the front lawn. Better get cracking tomorrow.

It's Amelia's baptism tomorrow. Cake and cupcakes arrived here today. Just need to drop them off at club before we go into church. Think everything else is sorted. Ordered some fridge magnets from photobox for godparents as a thank you but when they arrived they'd chopped the top of her head off! Rang to complain and they reordered but they've not arrived. Complained again and they've refunded the postage. But disappointed we've not got them :-(

do you usually take them to church? is it just the eveniong that is hard or are the mornings too. ive taken luke every week since he was 6 days old and he goes through phases but its my first try taking him without my mum tomnorrow because shes on holiday - would normally be fine but i alsop have me 83yr old grandmother top take care of too so i hope i dont need to takw him out. i take his boardbook bible and he plays with, hits and chews on it and i also take his tigger with the rattle and teething ring on ad he plays with that - ofc last week he desided to blow raspberries and giggle through the sermon and hit our family friend jean on the back until sheturned around (i swear shes the founder of the luke fanclub) - i love his wee bible lol all the bible stories rhyme and has great illuisrtations.

luke didnt eat the pieces but he did manage to eat half of a £1,000,000 note - at least i think i ate it because it dissapeared and i could only find a very soggy half lol. he almost crawled today - hes so close but just seems to want to climb on things to get to his feet. we hold out hands infront of him to keep him steady and he takes steps and thingzs he just cant balance but its like hes more interested in walking than crawling. has emma gone back to propper crawling or just gone for the commando type.

8am is the usual wakeup time for us in the house now. bottle at 8, breakfast at 9 but in the morning im getting him up at 7:30 so i can give him his breakfast at 8:30 so that we can both be up and dressed and out the house by 8:50 to walk to church so i get here before my grandmas taxi arrives and i can help her into the church.

That's a good idea. Our friend who took our wedding pics is taking pics tomorrow so hopefully will have some good ones.

im recycling it for m=xmas too lol theyre gettign a 3 pic frame, one of them on the first day they met him, one on the christening day and one of them im going to take at my mums bday party. everyone is getting framed pictures for christmas lol

We usually go Sunday mornings, but it's rugby season now so Chris coaches and Jack plays. No chance I'm taking Emma and Maddie on my own. I sometimes go weds am, but lots of the mums from school go so we take turns with Emma. And she's well rested so not so whingey.

Good luck with church in the am.

So they not have a kids group to go into (not for Emma obviously lol) but for maddie? Luke is going in there as soon as they allow him lol we sit two rows from the front so there's plenty going on for him but I'm suspecting in going to need to keep him on reigns when he can walk lol I swear he's going. Be the kid who goes from walking to run without any warning lol

Yes they take them to hall next door from 5yrs. But Maddie refuses t go. She would rather stay and whinge for 45 mins. Fling herself on the floor and stuff like that. So embarrassing!

That's a shame. Is she just going trheough a phase or has she always done that?

I'm Hoping Luke is well behaved in church as he gets older, I'm can imagine that being hard to deal with. Our priest gets heckled all the time by kids and responds to it quite well. It was especially great one Christmas when he asked what was coming soon and why were we celebrating and one kid goes "Santa!"
And he said "well, no, Jesus" and the kid almost had a nervous break down and he had to do a sermon about how Jesus and Santa know each other and Jesus helps Santa and things... Now when one says Santa he wisely says "yes! Santa and Rudolph are coming, but who's birthday is it celebrating" lol

She's just hard work in general. If you said take this £50 note, she would fight not to take it. Anything for an argument. She's only just 6, so I hate to think what she's going to be like when she's a teenager!

I've heard that too. A lot of people I know tell me boys are easier than girls.

Got a stinking cold now, hoping to get rid of it before thomas no doubt gets it. Been frantically washing my hands all day to try and pass as little on to him as possible but its a losing battle

Waiting for Luke to get a cold... Seems like all the babies have had one but not him and I know it's going to be a killer when it finally arrives lol

Up and down day for us lot!! Have no energy to even post about it but glad to be in bed !! Tired!!

Hope you feel better soon Kathryn

Yup, I thought Jack was hard work till maddie came along. Although my stepdaughter was really easy when she was little.

Kathryn, get your oh to take Thomas for a bit today and have a good nap. You too Bex. are you feeling better!

Have you got those vapour plug ins ready for when babies get colds? They were a real help. also had chest rub and nasal spray as back up. Only thing that helped Emma sleep. Dreading the next one.

Emma's still got this constant pooing thing. She's well in herself though, so not sure it was part of the bug she had or teething, or something else. The alarm on her monitor went off at 1ish this am, was sprinting down the hall when it stopped. She was fast asleep when I got there, but the wall of stink I met when going in to her room was horrendous. Had to change her then, but then she was up wanting to play for the next hr. Need to crack this soon.
