How are all you new mummies doing?

I've started giving S a bottle just before her bath at night so she isn't overtired - she knows once she's had her bath what's coming and 90% falls alseep before she finishes... But if he's not taking anything after 4 that might be tricky x x

Just fell out with hubby about fb last night. He doesn't think they mean any harm by it yada yada. They don't necessarily mean harm but the fact it's ALL the time upsets me. He says he will speak to them but guaranteed chucks me under the bus that it's me that's got the prob and he thinks it's ok x

He goes to bed at 6. I've trod keeping him up later but he et overtired. I give him his bottle to drink then I do his bath and he goes to Bed. I'm trying a bottle at 2 and 6 today and see how we go.

Might be a mixture of tiredness and the short gap between dinner and bedtime bottle. He's still sleeping though isn't he? Guess it's a bit of trial and error.

I was trying to keep Emma awake after her nap after lunch, so she slept better. But I've found if I let her have a little nap 4/4:30 then dinner straight after at 5ish, she's then awake enough to finish her bottle at 7:30 after bath. She's now back to sleeping 7:30- anywhere between 4:30 and 6. Not sure how to crack that though :-/

Jen, I went back to bed for 45 mins when Chris got up at 9. Shot myself in the foot though as now I won't get my afternoon nap / lock myself in my room for 2 hours!

Hayley rolled onto her tummy for the first time in her cot. She hates being on her tummy so started screaming until I rolled her over. Hoping she doesn't make this a habit as it took her a little while to re-settle!

Tired her with some porridge today, she was enjoying it. But soon started screaming the place down, not sure why - but I know her teeth have been bothering her.

We had a lot of that Kaedin. Now Emma will just sleep on her tummy if she finds herself too tired or disorientated to roll back over

Jojo have you tried giving him porridge made with his milk? That still counts towards his intake and will get a few oz of milk in him

Same as the others kaedin, Scarlett used to hate it but is getting more used to it. I find she doesn't sleep as long on her belly tho so I usually turn her over.

Well that's S and hubby away. Mamas night off! It's with all the mums from my group, never been out with them before tho! Can't wait :-) x

Aww sounds good Jen! Have fun :D

Stanley has never slept better than he does on his tummy!

We make his porridge with his milk but he will I my have it for a few days and he's sick of it so we give him fruit museli about twice a week.

He refused bottles until 10:30 and had 7oz. Then he refuses at 2 and 3 but had 6oz at 4 then would only have 5 at 7pm but had a jar of fruit museli, a jar for tea and 3/4 of a sachet for lunch he also had A small framage frais and half a 7+ jar of yoghurt.

I'm expecting him to wake up for the rest of his bottle but he hasn't yet.

Sounds like hes eaten a good amount. Maybe investigate vitamin drops to add to his milk as he's not regularly taking 20oz?

Poorly Oscar and hubby :(

Anyway

Oscar refuses to eat any pouches of jars! Everyone I've tried him on he's shuddered and pulled a face etc - I've tried Ella's kitchen pouches, AK pouches, 2 Heinz jars - I obviously need him to like them as it's for ease when out and about

Does anyone who uses jars have a fav their baby likes ? That I could try him on? As these jars and pouches are auch a minefield ! X

Maddie loves pretty much any Ella's kitchen but her absolute fave has been Heinz sweet potato bake! Maddie prefers jars and pouches to my terrible cooking so far lol - can't really blame her to be fair!

He had tomato pasta 4+ yesterday and proper turned his nose up

He eats the chicken pasta with creamy tomato I cook though!!gah!

I still use my own purée when out and about, I put the ice cubes in the little pots on the morning then just microwave them, I just ask wherever I am to heat it up for me. I'm out everyday too!

Have u tried the Heinz pouches bex? Macie won't eat the jars but loves the pouches 4 some reason lol! What's the matter with oscar and hubby? Xxx

Hayley came home at 10am today :D Gave her some porridge and a carrot stick. she emptied the porridge bowl - more on her face than eaten lol And was chewing away on the stick for a little bit before screaming the place down. Cleaned her up and popped her in bed for a nap, but she was sick. Not sure if she's just eaten too much then lying flat has made her reflux worse. Hopefully she'll settle soon and have a little sleep.

Luke likes the Heinz pouches but not the jars. He likes organix 7+ jars and loved cow and gate stage 1 but doesn't like stage 2.
I don't take anything home made out because a lot of people won't heat it up for you but will give you water to heat pouches.

Luke sometimes won't eat the jars by I pop some cheese in and he gulps it down. Have you tried adding creamy cheese to the jars?

Bex, Thomas loves the hipp organic banana & mango Melba as well as the banana custard & rice pudding.

If you're after savoury have you tried their simply squash, simply carrot or mixed veg medley, they are all 4+. They do lots of others but those are the simplest tastes to start
