How are all you new mummies doing?

Thanks guys!

Stace I didn't think places were meant to heat up bottles or baby food ? Maybe I'll try taking my own out next time - it's just it's meats now not just veg so needs to stay cool etc then be heated right through x

Bex, Emma has settled on the Heinz pouches. Heinz pouch sweet red pepper, tomato and carrot is her favourite. It's a 4+, but i know she will eat it no fussing if were out, so always have one to hand! I tend to go for the vege ones now and give her my own chicken or lamb ones out the freezer at home. she loves the pork and Apple 7+ one too. That's the only exception. She hates all the savoury Ella's kitchen ones, good for me as they are sooo expensive! Ps: ocado currently have most if the Heinz pouches half price. So 44p! I'm stocking up before the deal ends.

So Emma has gone from being full of the cold, now slowly getting better. But now she has diarrhoea too.I've been tempted to chuck some of her clothes out the explosions have been that bad! Now today she's started spewing. Poor thing.

How's Oscar Bex? Has he got a bug? Or this cold that everyone seems to be getting?

Know what you mean toria! Rinsing poo off clothes is not my fav thing. Think I've only chucked one vest so far though

Ugh I had explosive poohs at 3am - luckily the pampers contained it!

Oscar is asleep thank god but is poorly - reflux sicky and a cold/ dry cough - he's not half as bad as hubby though who has to go to his new jobs HQ tomorrow!

Been a busy and long weekend!

Sounds like what Emma has. She has partially spewed up every bottle today, and I've just sat down after a complete cot change and bath for Emma. Heard coughing and gurgling on the monitor, ran up there and she'd spewed straight up covering her whole face. She was just lying there. Poor thing.

My oh isn't well either. Man flu :-/

Oh no was horrible when Macie had it poor babies :-( gave Macie some crumpet today she bloody loved it she really seems to get on better with finger foods than purée anyone got any good things to try? So far she's tried apple pear them crisps things crumpet, toast and biscotti xxxx

Steamed veg -like broc/carrots battons etc
Fruits like strawberrys/mango etc
Dairy lee sandwiches ( oscars fav lol )
I keep meaning to do those porridge sticks people do

How about cooked carrot sticks and similar things to that?

Got my first keeping in touch day tomorrow. House is in chaos while I sort everything out. I'm leaving at 7.30am and hubby has to drop Thomas off at his parents before he heads of to work at shortly after 8am.

Sounds like a typical day for me but I do the nursery drop ! It's havok doing it full time! Hope your KIT day goes well though :)

Yeah I'm not looking forward to the return to work. It's a good trial run though

Thanks ladies she really loves the finger food going to get her a net thing also tried her on a fruit purée ice lolly she couldn't get enough of it! Think it helped her teeth! Xxxx

We got a net today but I'm not that impressed with it tbh, of ots half empty it just flops over and it it's full it's huge for his mouth. I don't think he's impressed either but well keep trying.

Luke had 7oz at 8am, half a jar of yoghurt with banana for breakfast at 8:45, then 3oz bottle as a snack at 10:30am, lunch and yoghurt at 13:00, 7oz at 2pm, his tea at 5pm and 7oz ay 7pm and has stayed asleep so far. Woke up at 8:30 but went back to sleep straight away so hoping he stays asleep. He did wake at 3am thismorning but only because he was sleeping in his front and woke up - think he spooked himself.

It's getting colder in his room now, between 19-20.

Nat I blitzed most of my sweet potato and butternut squash but kept some as sliced for finger food. Rice cakes and avacado are good ones too I heard but not tried them yet. S loves a banana but they are slidy so they need a helping hand. Omelettes are really good too chopped up, I'm going to try that tomorrow. Is it bad I had to google it to see how you make them - I hate eggs so never cook them!! Haha. S has polished off quite a bit food today, she's been taking her porridge then 2 meals.. Is this too much if we are a week and a half in? She's doing really well tho so when we are on a roll I just wanna carry on trying her on things. Still getting 3am wake ups tho and won't settle without a bottle - even with all that food! Any ideas?

Hope everyone has had a good weekend and the sick babies feel better.

Can babies have soft boiled egg?

I was thinking about trying lo on them but not sure if they can have them or not.

Going to try him on soft toast this week possibly as he's now mastered banana and he stole a cracker from my grandmas plate and managed that somehow so I think he's ready lol

I have him scrambled egg last week with. Cheese in and he loved it but km not sure about soft boiled.

I read no whites until 1 due to the potential of allergies being triggered. And no 'lightly ' cooked eggs. But omelettes, scrambled and well poached eggs ok from 6 months. So confusing!i haven't given Emma any eggs yet. Might try tomorrow.

Jen, if she's taking to it that well I don't see the harm! She will adjust more as you go a few more weeks in with her milk etc.., I think they say slow introduction initially because some babies might take longer to get used to it.

Well everything's sorted for tomorrow and house is tidy again. Bags packed and in the car, so hubby only has to change Thomas' nappy when he gets up and drop him 3ish streets away!

Oh well Luke has whites scrambled and he was fine. The lightly cooked egg tringn is so silly! I used to have them
All the time and I was fine and that was before they checked them
As closely... Farm eggs from a friends farm.

That's irritating. Eggs are only tasty scrambled or runny lol

Good luck tomorrow pumpkin!

Eggs are good NO way jojo! ;-)

On cue she's up again :wall: won't go down til she's had a bottle :-(
