How are all you new mummies doing?

Thanks!

I remember Thomas doing that for a couple of weeks. He's over it now thank goodness, feel for you Jen.

I'm more nervous about my mil cocking up his routine than anything and trying to feed him stuff she's cooked because she's trying to 'help' he's got all his food packed to go but cause she's got loads of leftover apples she keeps trying to give him that. No harm in it but it's all the time and the poor boy doesn't like apple that much lol.

I've written everything down for her but she's one of these people that pretends she hates boasters and then claims she does everything best so I'm worried she'll Ignore everything I've said.

That's my worry too! Have you had a proper sit down chat about both your expectations. I'm defo going too, so there's no crossed wires. Especially at the beginning she's to eat only what I give her cos she will still be getting into a routine and used to foods.

Did you keep feeding him when he was up? I don't want her gettibg used to this bottle but I just can't settle her without it x

Luke slept through from 7pm
Last night to 8am thismorning with just a few wakes in the evening for dummy

Jen- she may be thirsty - are you offering water with food? Try giving her a few sips of water and re settling her :)

Went to bed at 9- hoped Oscar would go through but he woke on the dot at 10.30 for his what usually is a dream feed lol! Then went back down till 7 this morning

Even poorly he's slept through bless him!

Hope today goes well pumpkin- having been through it myself I can only say what we did was let MIL have him for few hors here and there, then at meal times she would feed him etc - she got used to how we do things and I made a point of saying the easier looking after him it will be if you keep him in routine and do things like we do or very similar - she knows all this being a nursery manager etc but still understood and wanted Oscar to be as settled as poss ! X

Good luck for your KIT day!

Hayley slept from 6:30 til 6:30. When I woke she was up at the top of her cot! She's been sleeping on her tummy again, which in a way im glad as she's always hated tummy time and never properly lifts herself up from her tummy so hoping it strenthens all her muscles. However I'd prefer she slept on her back at the bottom of the cot lol!

Jojo, I'm just gonna try eggs on Emma and see how we go. No one in my family are allergic. Although I don't eat egg yolks, so anything she gets will be well cooked.

Well we were up at 4am, more spewing so a complete bed and Emma change, then a bottle as she spewed her 7pm feed so was starving. Then she spewed most of that back up again. She then slept till 7:15 though, thank goodness. She's very sleepy today though, and refused her first bottle and only had a bit of her second. Eating well though.

In other news. She's decided crawling is too difficult and gone back to pushing herself round on her tummy. Think it hurts her knees on our floor too. Today I noticed she gets where she's going, and sits herself back up! She's just gone from being next to me sitting, to the other side of the room and is back sitting up. Haven't actually seen how she does it though. Lol

Been so busy today! I swear my nesting came 7 months late lol. Downstairs at 8 and since then I've cleaned out my porch, moved my bookcase (twice lol) moved a picture, moved two sodas, two tables, my fishtail and table, emptied out my understands cupboard. My house no feels more baby safe and more room for him to play. I'm just having my breakfast/lunch and first cuppa of he day now then off to reorganise my kitchen cupboards.

All went well! Despite my worries (think I was just anxious about it generally) all wen really well with Thomas. Mil did routine like of written out and he was 'excellent' in her words and fil's. Didn't cry once all day was such a good boy.

Work was good too. Have had a convErsation with the regional management team about my return in march and what I want (full time but close to home as poss) so we'll see. They'll contact me in dec and have a clear idea of regional movements by January for them to let me know what I'll be doing so happy with that

I wish I wasn't returning until march. I'm back in 5 weeks. On the upside I'm only part time and I can walk to/from work in 15-20 mins.

Glad everything went well :)

Sounds like you travel far to work... Tbh it's one if the reasons I still work for the crappy company I hate lol I start at 8am and don't lave until 7:40, and I'll finish at 2:30 to be home by 2:50. It costs me £2.50 of o sleep in and need to get a taxi lol

Just ordered an activity table and Vtech walker for Emma for Xmas. 25% off at argos. I read somewhere there's a 3 for 2 sale coming up at argos too. No doubt they will go back up to full price, then the 3 for 2. Will wait and see, and see what the best deal is :-)

Glad your kit day went well Kathryn.

I for the vtech walker and I got a carousel first laptop at tesco for 25% off, I'm going to get some soft blocks from smiths and some soft books.

How much did you pay for the walker?

Vtech walker was £17.99 and the activity table £23. It was actually 1/3 off. Just tried to get a pic but wouldn't let me.

Wow that's really good Kaedin. That's the one I've just ordered for £17.99

My normal journeys are about 40miles to work which take an hour. Biggest I've done is 140mile round trip everyday.

Aw I love that walker!! Even for £17.99 that's good but tesco price even better!

I just bought S a second hand rocker thing for £10!! Brand new looking. That's going away for Christmas or even bday cos she will be a bit small.

Glad your kit day went well pumpkin. I'm having hives already jojo, 5 weeks on Monday :-(

To be fair I think it was a pricing error, as the sign in store said reduced to clear and the price was £17. Only noticed when I got home and checked my receipt that I was only charged 6.50. If i wasnt exhausted walking there and back with the pram i'd have bought more than 1 lol!

So glad I don't have a long commute these days! The 100 mile commute I had which involved spaghetti jnc in Birmingham was just diabolical! No words! The M6 is like pure hell haha!

I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks after accepting transfer to sister company and 2 weeks before I moved! It's 5 miles in car but 2 miles as crow flys - still takes 20 mins as I have a bridge to contend with and I don't enjoy it as much as my old job but it's easier and less time on the road

I am all totes emosh ( even though I hate that towie programme) this evening over Oscar :( missing him like mad

He had his first dentist app with me today and had his teeth checked - then he got an NHS dentist dragon cuddly toy! How awesome!!
