How are all you new mummies doing?

Go Austin!!

Proud mummy moment here to ;) Had Thomas weighed he's now 18lb 2oz up from 16lb 11oz a month ago and has jumped to 50th centile so no issues with his weight anymore. Food routine is obviously working well

That's great news :)

Hayley is away until 7pm tonight, so i've hung up all my washing yay!

Got a busy day tomorrow, going to vote for the independence referendum, then im heading into town to get some shopping done mainly going to Aldi!, but got a shirt i need to exchange (forgot i had a large tummy to fit in haha so need a bigger size! D'oh!!) Looking forward to a wee day out. Had planned swimming with Hayley today but by the time she had her bottle it was getting abit late for her dad to pick her up on time ect so we just went a walk to tesco and I bought weaning stuffs. Bought those carrot stick crisps that a few of yous have mentioned so looking forward to hayley giving them a go :D

Jojo, I'm feeding Emma

7am 8oz formula (although usually leaves 2 oz)
9ami-ish 3 tablespoons baby porridge with formula
11am 6oz formula
12 lunch - 2 cubes of my frozen veges purée, and half a jar/ pouch then yoghurt
2:30pm 6-8 oz
5pm dinner. Same as lunch
7:30 8oz

I'm abit nervous about starting weaning as Hayleys been taking and finishing 10 oz bottles of milk. So don't know if I should make smaller bottles so she's still hungry to try food ?

Luke refused his 3pm bottle but drank it at 4 then refused his 6pm bottle so if he wakes fir it I hope he wakes before 8pm

Seems to be asleep

10oz? Wow! Luke coukd never manage more than. 8 in one sitting. I'd say feed her the food then the milk and see how much she drinks. At first it diesnt make much difference because of the small amounts

I'd say keep her milk as it is and between he feeds just offer her little tastes, it's in no way about volume for the first few weeks, just about her getting used to different textures and flavours. So a couple of spoonfuls will do xx

She needs food if you ask me kaedin - 10 Oz is far you much

That is a lot kaedin, what does she weigh. Hv said to me that cos S was a good weight (probs about 20lb now) I could start that wee bit early. S has done well with her food today. 31oz and had some baby porridge this morning, sooked on a doughball from pizza express, then had 2 spoonfuls of a veg medley jar and 2 spoonfuls of pear pouch. No boaking or sick so feeling hopeful about it all now :-)

Can't wait for tomorrow to be over kaedin. I'm kinda sick of talking about it x

Ruri seems to be plodding along with weaning - seems more interested in the straps on his highchair sometimes ;-) although I have him some finger slices of toast and a carrot stix today and he enjoyed playing with that. Although he seems to be taking more milk, not less :| he'd normally leave some of his bottle but now drains them! Hoping this calms down when he's on three meals a day

Oh god sick to death of referendum. Want to tape my dad's mouth shut!! If he calls Ruri his wee highlander one more time, lol!!

Glad I'm not the only one that's fed up with it all! They'll be picking over the results for weeks though

It'll be a fix either way ;-) hahaha. It's bloody everywhere - who's taking all the yes and no signs off the lampposts tomorrow, huh!?

Another prolonged bedtime with an hour of screaming :-( I want my super self-settling baby back.

Luke is up too. Didn't rake his bottle at 6 and slept 6:15-8pm and j have him his bottle and he's been up ever since. Thankfully not crying but just unsettled and rolling around in his cot. I swear it's always when I'm watching something on TV z. He'll probably settle right down just in ike for hubby getting in... I swear he thinks I make it up lol

My dad is from Glasgow, he didn't stop talking bout it the whole time he was visiting. He even left me a sealed envelope with his prediction in!lol

Emma's gone to sleep on her tummy again. Still bunged up, but guess she finds breathing easier like that, fingers crossed for another good night.

Lol! A 50/50 chance - did you point out it was hardly like predicting the xFactor winner or the lottery numbers ;)

I'm looking forward to vote tomorrow, dreading the outcome as I reckon it won't be what I want! haha. I'm from Glasgow too :)

I haven't had Hayley weighed in a while so not really sure what she is now. I'll need to find out when the drop in weight clinic is in my new GP to get her checked over. It's so hard changing GPs, dentists ect. Also had to book our first joint mediation appointment, which was a fiasco itself!!

I'm in a very bad mood. Hayley went with her dad from 4 til 7, at the door I asked how she had been and he just said "fine" and walked off. So I text him asking if she was fed, if so when and how much! He hasn't replied, sent another asking him to let me know...nearly 10pm and still no reply. Rediculous. Gave her a bottle anyway as she wouldn't settle in bed, but she might have just been fed so shes getting an extra feed, I really don't know. He needs to grow up, it's not hard to reply to a text just saying she ate X amount and Y time...she was/n't sick..happy/say/grumpy mood/had a nap ect. It's just passing a message on I don't care about him - but i need to know if she was ok!
