How are all you new mummies doing?

We are the same Stanley is still full of cold, I'm hoping he feels better for baby social tomorrow but it's looking unlikely, I think he picked up his cold from, there was a baby there with a snotty nose who was playing near him, I don't wana be one of those taking my kid to play groups when they aren't well and passing it on!
Stanley was up a good few times again through the night.. Hoping it will pass soon!

Well done luke, S was 6am this morning but needed settled at 5 with her sheep. I actually quite like that time cos I can space out her bottles and not chase around trying to get them all in her. Haha.

I'm getting serious cabin fever so think we will go out today. She seems a lot better and only 2 dirty nappies yest so that's a good sign! Have a good day ladies x

They all need to get these things, helps build up their immune systems.

Well Thomas has finally learnt to fully roll onto his front. He woke up twice last night cause he'd flipped over and got stuck lol. First time I full on flipped him back and he went straight back to sleep! That never normally happens!!!

Luke usually gets up at 7 so it means he has to miss a bottle today. But he is on 3 meals a day so should be fine

Toria - work is hard! Hubby's at his new job aswell and is out at 7.15/7.30 too

So basically up at 6.15/6.30 and it's full on juggling untill we leave for nursery at 7.45- drop him off at just gone 8- off to work till 4.15 pick him up about 4.30 - home for like 4.50/5 traffic depending

Food, play etc - bath at 6.30/45 bottle and bed around 7ish

Then it's back down to sort his bottles and nursery bag- clean bibs and muslin etc, get our tea on , washing /cleaning

Think about having a shower at like 9.30? Bed at 10?

Luckily past few nights he's slept through!!

People say work is a break - not sure what jobs they do but mine is so mentally draining - I work with a budget my main role is authorising business costs against our fleet and repairers so I'm constantly on the go! My job is harder work than being a parent !!! Lol!

Very busy days for you Bex!

Hayley woke up around 1am but settles right away with dummy, then woke at 5:45, 6, 6:15,6:30,6:45 and when she woke at 7 she didn't fall straight to sleep with dummy this time so got up had a 10oz bottle, then she had another 10oz bottle at 9:30 and she went for a nap just after 10am and she's still asleep!! So i've just had a lovely shower yay

I'm
Looking forward to getting back to work next month but also dreading it lol in hate my boss, but I guess I just figure I'm thee for 25hpurs a week so I can cope with his twattery

I'm also excited because they're planning Christmas stuff so I will be running either a Christmas Cookery session or Christmas craft session at work one day a week.

I'll be getting up at 6:30 and probably feeding luke before I go out and leaving 07:30 to walk to work then I'll get home about 3pm to allow hubby to get out to work by 3:30- its great having short hours but the days I'm at work will be like a tag team with hubby lol

I don't think I could've gone back full time onh 14hr shifts again - I'll probably be doing 2 of hose a month and on dreading being away from Luke from 07:30am-10:30pm on those days. I literally won't see him awake for more than 5 minutes.

It's so mentally draining my job - dealing with the people I care for is hard graft! We
Don't get any breaks at all because of the nature if he job so we eat with our clients and if we go out for air they follow us - even if we to for a wee they're outside the door going " I can hear you on the toilet!" Lol. Violent outbursts are regular as are seizures and a lot of incontinence accidents and things. One lady we have to feed with a spoon and her favourite pastime is spitting it back out at you. Not t mention the stress of changing meducations, policies Etc. lol the late shifts are the easier shifts - day shifts are all go!

I do craft activity one day a week which is 2 staff with about 10-15 clients doing activities and even though it's fun it's also quite stressful at times.

That would be hard work Jojo! Will your husband be watching Luke on the days your doing a 14 hours shift?

I've decided I'm going to take the full year maternity leave off, and then go back (hopefully they allow me to go back part time). My old contract was 25 hours a week, so im aiming for between 16 - 25 hours a week. No idea what my work will grant me but im not going to worry thinking about it just now, just trying to enjoy my time with Hayley

I love my job! Like most I get frustrated at times but I love my immediate team, the fact that even tho we are managed we pretty much decide ourselves how to manage the team's work load & when procedures need changing. And it's a laugh! I work in construction so it's predominantly a male environment so not a lot of bitching and a lot of piss taking (out of each other in a nice way not putting out feet up!)

Toria I've been meaning to ask did you get that sky baby mattress thing in the end for Emma?

We fly in 4 weeks and it's like itt hit me like a ton of bricks we must be mad - I'm bricking it about the flight now!

No haven't got it yet. Only found it after our Thailand trip. They haven't got it in store to look at either, so think I'll leave it a while then order it to see if it will work. We don't fly again till March. Wondering if she will be too big by then.

Yeah he'll be looking after Luke every day lol he's out the house 3:30-10:00pm mon-dry so if I did 14hr shifts they'll be at weekends which sucks also because it's his only days off and the I or days we have as a family. So he'll be getting him up every day I'm working and looking after him till 3:00ish (1:30 one of the days) and Rhe days I'm 14hours hubby will have him but mum says she can take him for. Few hours to give him a break - if it's a Sunday she will have Luke 9am-1pm anyway as she will be taking him to church.

It makes me. little sad mark is going to be more of a caregiver than me because I'll miss the time we have together. That said, although I have nothing against nursery care, I'm glad he's going to be with his parents instead of in nursery.

Jo he's much better off at home with daddy :)

Although Oscar is so spoilt at nursery - he bloody loves it- I drop him off and he's all smiles and happy-when his key worker takes him! hopefully we won't have to battle separation anxiety too much as he gets abit older!

If we put him
In nursery I'd be working just to pay his daycare bill which I think is a bit pointless lol I would t have any more money by working full time, actually I'd have less if I had to pay for nursery. I make £300 less a month in part time but I get tax credits that help.

In other news - I do Luke's washing once a week then the day after I iron it. I washed yesterday and got halfay through ironing fans my trusty little iron died! Luckily it's just vests and sheets I haven't ironed but it's annoying!! It cost me a tenner almost 7 years ago though so I suppose it's done me well.

Bex food help!

Yesterday I made chicken and veg for my tea, so I kept some of both for ryan, there quite abit, maybe 4 meals work, iv chopped the chicken up small and the veg is already little cubes of carrot, peas and tiny bits of broccoli and cauliflower. I'm planning to make up abit of this Heinz stuff iv got as a sauce of sorts, how long do u think it will keep for? X

48 hrs for chicken unless you freeze the defrost and use same day

Keep 1 meal in fridge - freeze 3

Get it out the freezer on morning and defrost then give that day x

Jo - totally get why you wouldn't put luke in nursery :) he doesn't need to anyway - and when he's 2 I think you'd qualify for 15 hours free - then 15 hours when he's 3 aswell :)
