How are all you new mummies doing?

When he's three he will be going into school nursery anyway which I need to get him on the list for. The school I want him in is very popular and only takes 30 chikdren and I want a morning slot so. Have to get his name down soon. Crazy, huh?

Mum is retiring when she's 63 which will coincide with luke going to school abd she lives opposite the school so that's another reason to get him in there. It's so so a 5 minute walk from me

Yea pre schools accept the 15 hours government funding :) but you could get that when he's 2 aswell if you qualify :)

Thanks bex, made 4 portions as expected! He's having it now! Having fun chewing the chicken lol xx

Tbh I don't think I'll bother. I'd still have to be home by 3:30 so prob will just have him start school nursery when I'm 3

I've put like in his bouncer but CIA were open plan we don't have many doors and he only one I can see to keep an eye I him is the under stairs cupboard lol I've put a mat on he floor and moved things either into the cupboard lol he just keeps looking at the stuff in there and trying to explore then springing back lol

Toria - work is hard! Hubby's at his new job aswell and is out at 7.15/7.30 too

So basically up at 6.15/6.30 and it's full on juggling untill we leave for nursery at 7.45- drop him off at just gone 8- off to work till 4.15 pick him up about 4.30 - home for like 4.50/5 traffic depending

Food, play etc - bath at 6.30/45 bottle and bed around 7ish

Then it's back down to sort his bottles and nursery bag- clean bibs and muslin etc, get our tea on , washing /cleaning

Think about having a shower at like 9.30? Bed at 10?

Luckily past few nights he's slept through!!

People say work is a break - not sure what jobs they do but mine is so mentally draining - I work with a budget my main role is authorising business costs against our fleet and repairers so I'm constantly on the go! My job is harder work than being a parent !!! Lol!

All the juggling is hard work, and sounds like you need to be on the ball for work huh.

We'll Emma slept through other than a quick 2 min whinge at 3ish. She was sleeping while she was doing it, so just did some shushing and she stopped. She ended up going t sleep on her tummy, a think it must have made breathing easier with the cold she's got. She's nt takng much mild today as she can't breathe while drinking, so fed her up at breakfast and lunch. Just hope she sleeps well again tonight!

Had to cancel going to see my friend and her teeny twins tomorrow. Don't want the blame for giving them this cold.

What quantities of food are people giving their babies? I'm
Wondering if I need to feed him more.
Mum giving him either a small bowl of porridge (I'd say prob 100g-150g portion) or a wheatabix with mashed banana die breakfast, then for lunch I'm giving him about 1/2 a 7 month jar or 3/4 of a 4+ jar and about 50g of fruit purée and for tea he has the rest of a 4mth jar or about 1/4 of a 7+ jar and a from age frais or a bit of yoghurt.

He clears the dish mostly but I was thinking if I should be reedingn him more. He also has about 28-30oz of milk throughout the day.

I'm trying to imagine going back to work. Think my day would be:

6am wake, milk feed (am assuming she wont have dropped this yet) and dress while OH showers then shower while OH makes lunch. Maybe grab a quick breakfast.
7.15am leave house
8am drop at nursery
8.45/9am get to work
5.30pm leave work
6/6.15pm collect from nursery
7pm get home, feed (again am assuming she'll still want this) then put LO to bed.

I can't imagine not spending any time with her other than getting her up and putting her to bed and (hopefully) a couple of milk feeds. OH wouldn't really spend any time with her at all on those days. Is this really what being a parent has become? :-(

I can't really measure as he doesn't have jars and tbh I have no idea what portion size he gets at nursery for lunch

But he usually had what I'd imagine is about a pouch of food? Plus a small yoghurt/fromage frais?

My HV has told me I'm to start to drop his bottles to 5oz 4x a day ( he's on 5x 6oz ATM) and up his food Intake as food should start to become his key nutrition

Oscar also has a snack mid morning at nursery of fruit in a food net :)

Proud mummy moment! Austin commando crawls! He still thinks rolling is quicker but he can do it if he wants!

Our nursery is 8-6. Wish it would open earlier! Find it easier to build my flexi by starting early lol!

Jojo - I'm doing :
Breakfast (8am to 9am)
4 heaped spoons of ready brek made with formula. Plus milk (in total 9oz)

Lunch - 12.30 to 1pm
1/2 jar of 7 month+ savoury and 1/2 jar of sweet plus either piece of fruit or biscuit and water

4pm - 8oz milk

Dinner - 5.30 to 6
Same as lunch

8pm - 8oz milk

Go Austin!!

Proud mummy moment here to ;) Had Thomas weighed he's now 18lb 2oz up from 16lb 11oz a month ago and has jumped to 50th centile so no issues with his weight anymore. Food routine is obviously working well

I think my husband is going to hate me at the weekend lol. I've decided I want to switcheroo my living/dining room (it's all 1 long room) and put it back to the way it was a year ago lol I want a decide between the 2 rooms again so Luke can't get too close to the kitchen when he's crawling and give us more floor space in the loving room for him to play.

I also want him to clean out our huge fish tank as the fish are dead and I want to sell it along with the wooden highchair I had and the Moses basket/stand. (Not sure what to charge for any of them lol)

A lot if work for him this weekend lol oops

Have a look on eBay and gumtree Jojo for equivalents, sure you'd get an ideals price then.

I've sold a few unwanted items in there this week and made £180
