How are all you new mummies doing?

Oh that looks good kaedin! Is it reusable?

I'm dreading dentist tomorrow -
Already had a panic attack thinking about it

Yeah! You just wash it with hot water, sterilise with solution then add your 1-2 drops in the compartment and youre good to go!

Oh dear, just try not to think about it today, just keep busy to keep your mind off it.

I don't need one right now but I might have to get one just in case

Stanley was up again all last night 10x + argh! He did this the last time before he learned to roll I'm putting it down to some sort of mental/physical development!
I know he's not cold and he does want his dummy when he wakes but I know it's not that cos he usually spits it out when he drops off anyway...

Oscar slept through all last week

This week he's waking up again in the night! Can't figure it out :(

Gutted for you stace :(

aw bless you stace I hope he starts to settle. I hope he starts to settle Bex, Joseph flat down refused his midnight bottle on Monday. Drank 3oz's out of it last night. I think I may have found a 7 month old food he will eat. He is gagging and refusing to eat Hipp, Ella's Kitchen, Plum 7 month pouches (he is gagging on them and then clamping his mouth shut). Gace him a heinz pouch and he has eat everything in his bowl. Weird x

Luke won't eat At all today. I've been upping his bottles but he just refuses food. He just sounds in pain with his teggies

Get some of those ice lolly moulds & freeze some purée in them. Great for teething & gets some food in them

So far we've been ok with the hipp 7+ jars. But I find I have to get them to the right temp otherwise he's spits it out. He prefers them hottish rather than lukewarm

Weaning has started :-) quite exciting really. She had her first proper bit of baby rice. She wasn't happy until she was holding the spoon and feeding herself. Bought all sorts of veg and some bananas to get started. Any tips from you pros now? :-)

Hope the babies feel better soon and the mums get some sleep!

Jojo hope swelling goes down. :-( an allergy maybe? x x

Keep trying different things, just because they don't like it once doesn't mean they won't eat it next time. Try different temperatures as well, some food Thomas prefers hot. Don't be afraid if flavours! I gave Thomas salmon with dill yesterday which smelt very fishy and he ate it without even a sideways glance.

Other than that slow and steady wins the race!?! Just go with what your baby is comfortable with

Refuses anything cold - he has yoghurt from fridge but that's it. He's skyways liked things warmer. He won't put anything in his mouth today - even been spitting dummy out after a few mins. He'll only have bottles

I don't think my eye is an allergy because I've not come into contact with anything j don't usyallt.

Macie seems to have a sweet tooth wolfs any fruit down but veg is very hit n miss keep persevering xxxx

Thanks ladies, defo with you on the persevering x

Kathryn, no Emma won't even bother looking for her dummy. She gets it and puts it in during the day though when she's tired. Thing is, once she's really sleepy she spits it out anyway.

Emma's eating all the 7+ pouches and jars so far other than a cheesy vege Heinz one. Gave her a cauliflower cheese one yesterday that I though she would refuse, but her eyes lit up and she was lunging for it while I sat back gagging.haha. Think you said Jojo that they were really chunky. This one was, more than any of the other Heinz ones she's tried.

Feeding time has got quite entertaining now. Emma will inspect the food first, then clench her jaw shut when the spoon is heading for her, then just stick her tongue out to taste before she will let anything through. So funny.

My first Ocado order came yesterday. Heaps of baby food! I got lots of 4+ ones for 33p each to mix with my home made veges. And the 7+ ones were 44p each. Then I got the £20 off and free delivery. Think I've got enough food for Emma for a month.

Jen just remember to do the same thing for a few days at a time , don't worry about how she's eating or what she's doing - it's new to her so let her explore

If your doing purées to begin with give her a spoon too - if your doing BLW then have a quick google on choking in infants just incase :)

Just go with it :)

Yeah, Think I'm gonna do a bit of both. Just done some carrots, potatoes and sweet potatoes for the freezer. It's actually harder work than I thought. I find it hard to switch off from everything being sterilised, to using my own pots and teaspoons! I'll give her a shot at puréed for a couple of weeks and then into more finger foods and blw.
