How are all you new mummies doing?

It is a minefield!!

It seems good? I paid 120 for it so if it only lasts a few years then that's a good buy as far as I'm concerned ? I don't really know much about it - all I know is it's very recommended and I can attach it quickly to the car :)

Where did you get it at that price. That's really good!

I'd expect my hubby to come with me - Infact he would want to no questions asked :)

Well that's what I thought too I shouldn't have to ask him too if want to go no matter what! Just don't no what to do fed up of it I'm the bad one all the time if I say anything xxx

If he wasn't working he would automatically come with me.

Hubby just doesn't use initiative but maybe it's my fault for taking over a lot of the time or telling him what to do so i'm trying not to do that as much.

I've upset my grandma - Luke has taken to grabbing her walking stick when he's sitting on her knee and she lets him
Play with it - she even gives it to him but he was out the other day and tried to grab an old mans while he was walking!! I've told her I don't want him Being encouraged to play with it and she's upset because apparently she cant do anything right and has gone into a huff.

For all the moaning I do about Daniel he's really good with Thomas. He plays with him, knows what he wants and reacts to it, does bath and bedtimes and genuinely wants to spend time with him.

We had a few heated discussions a while back about it but since then it all Seems to have fallen into place. Admittedly he's still not great when we're away (still packs himself while I'll Do the rest!) but that's prob because I'm the one who sorts stuff out every day so I'm quicker at getting it organised

Hope your feeling better Jojo. Don't worry about your grandma- we all have to stop these things once in awhile and you clearly have good reason.

I've been on the which website and the Facebook group about car seats and I think it's just confused me more. My
Main issue is whether to get one or two as Thomas will be looked after by both of his grandparents (2 days a week each) so we will need a car seat for their cars plus put cars. Can't figure out how easy it will be to transfer from one to
Another or for them to fit themselves

I'm either run down and coming down with something, going to have a shockingly vile period or I'm pregnant. Hope it passes soon again.

I have my work interview tomorrow at 11am and I'm not looking forward to it at all!

Having a terrible night. Thomas had a cold I think, been very snotty all day and managed to get him to bed alright hadn't been upset at all. Woke at 10.30 crying so gave him some calpol. He's just woken again absolutely screaming. Went into him to pick him up and nothing would calm him down. Took 20 minutes of me and hubby doing everything to stop him crying. He's still sobbing and if you lay down with him starts crying again.

No temp (probably calpol) and no other symptoms apart from runny nose. But the crying was blood curdling. He's never been like that ever was actually pretty scary. Hopefly we'll get him settled and back to bed soon

Fingers crossed he's ok! Poor boy!

Jojo - good luck tomorrow! Let us know how you get on

Car seat wise- my MIL is having Oscar every Friday and will prob have him on other occasions too- when she got wind of the deal I got on the britax she made me order her one ( she paid lol ) so Oscar has a car seat ready for her car when he's out of his group 0 :)

Oh and I can't sleep - poorly tummy and been on and off the toilet :/

Hope you've managed to sleep now bex.

Car seats sound like a bargain, just need to sort out ours!

Thomas is finally asleep in our bed so hubbies gone in the spare room. Poor little boy must have really scared himself, he was sobbing for ages.

I love the look of the Britax duo as well, when are you all planning on moving to new car seats? On the info the manufactures provide it says 9 months but S is already getting snug in her current seat do I can't see it lasting her another 4 months!

We'll that's us here safe and sound ladies and first sleep over. Hope your all good, I can't read through all the posts cos I'm paying for data... Scoundrels!!

Everything is good and sorted, only prob is rinsing bottles. Our options are rinsing them out of bathroom tap water or buying bottles water. What do you think? It's going into milton solution after x

Question ladies I got my maternity pay as a lump sum because I was made redundant at the end of jan and I was still entitled to it because I was 30 weeks pg when I left I've got a job interview today for some evening work in asda nothing fantastic but means il me bringing money in and won't have to leave my girl if I do get the job do u think il have to repay some of my smp? Xxx

Are you still technically on maternity leave? Did you get your pay as a maternity allowance from the job centre or from your place of work? I would think if it was from your place of work, you wouldn't have to as you're not their employee anymore but if it was from the job centre then possibly?

I'd speak to ACAS about that maud

Car seat wise it's the weight limit that's important - oscars new seat is from 9kg which is about 19lbs

He is snug in his group 0 but there is loads of growing room left

It was from my employee not job centre technically I think I'm unemployed I think! Xxx
