Has anyone out there had medical management after a mmc? **UPDATE 02/05/14**

Please get this checked out. I don't want to scare you but my bf hemorrhaged during mc quite badly. Nothing about this should be seen as 'normal' and you have to deal with it at home, get help if you need it. Just go to a and e if it doesn't ease at all. So sorry you're going through this. Hugs. Xx

well the dr from nhs24 has phoned back and said its completely normal and take paracetomal and it should be fine tomorrow that's fine but by then I will have gone through 7 packets of pads, im not sure about this!

Its not normal hun. I got rushed into hospital after two pads in 20 minutes and they certainly didnt see it as normal. Yours sounds much worse. If your still bleeding heavy get help just to be sure. Whats the worse that can happen if you get checked all seems normal you grt sent home nothing lost. Call epu see what they say. They know about this stuff better than nhs direct

I wish epu was there to call but they only open 8-5 mon-fri :( I explained it was bad and I went through 6 thick night time sanitary pads (the ones that have like 5 drops on the packet) in 30 mins but the dr didn't seem to be bothered really ive been getting really big stringy clots too obviously ive never gone through this before so not sure what to expect but I do think this isn't normal

Hi Hun, when I was going through my miscarriage and I attended A&E they told me if I was soaking through pads in 20 minutes to go straight back up to them. Is definitely I get yourself checked out xxx

Hi natEvz that's exactly what I was told when I had my scan and was told I would miscarry they said if I was soaking pads in 20mins to go to hospital that's how im slightly confused the dr said it was normal-if it was normal the nurse wouldn't of said that then that's what I think.

@wifeywifey I feel like I cant do anything now because if I go to the hospital they would prob see I phoned nhs 24 and was already told its normal im wishing we did what my hubby suggested and just go straight there I just thought we should phone them first

If in any doubt go in. One Dr on the end of a phone isn't reassuring, you know best and if you continue to bleed so heavily you'll feel quite poorly. Tell them you phoned, and tell them you've had very different advice prior to that. Take care and don't worry about the Dr. xx

well ive been on google and I think it was the miscarriage association I seen it cant remember but anyway it said if sitting/lying down bleed less because of gravity (which is what ive been doing having tea eventually and watching tv) and as soon as you get up it will start again im away to get up and fold some clothes and if its like that again I don't care im going straight to the hospital my head keeps telling me that the nurse sayin to phone if you keep soaking pads she wouldn't of said that if its normal and she couldn't of been wrong either cause all you ladies have been told the same so why did the dr say it was normal and to take paracetomal?

I can't remember how much I bled in terms of pads but I didnt wear anything after waters had gone and I do remember a lot of blood dripping everywhere but it felt safer as I was already at the hosp if you know what I mean and they were checking everything. If it happens again I'd go in! Even if it isnt anything bad, losing that much blood you need to be checked out just in case xx

im really not wanting to go get up, just so I know what to look out for how poorly would I be if I lost a lot of blood?

If you feel faint thats a bad sign I think and i'd defo go in then. Not sure what else apart from faint and dizzy but if can be quite dangerous loosing too much so please do keep an eye on it, dont want to scare you just best to be cautious about these things. Xx

You'd probably feel generally crap but faint and dizzy are signs to get checked out for sure. x

well its deffo not as bad it was, I do still have bad cramps but im still concerned about the fact I went through 6-7 sanitary pads in 30mins

Honey I'd go and get checked out, that is a lot of blood loss in a very short period of time. Big :hugs: thinking of you xx
