From miscarriages to miracle - James Michael. Our sticky bean born on Daddy's B'day

Ahh, lovely pics :) I love his hair, you shouldn't cut it until you have to! He looks like a right little monkey :D xx

Where is the time going?

My little baby is a proper little person now, how did that happen?

Things are going really well. I have been back at work FT for 6 weeks now and although I miss James immensely its all working OK.

Just waiting to hear when OH's new project will start and my sister will take wee man.

James is walking all over the place and climbing everywhere. Still no words yet but lots of babbling and sounds and repetition. I don't think it will be long.

It's hard to believe this time two years ago was when we conceived James.

We've been NTNP for a few cycles (well more like TTC ) and nothing so I am feeling a bit shit about that.

However my OH has asked that we wait a few months now. Clear our credit cards, replenish our savings and enjoy our holiday and then crack on with baby making. It's not an unreasonable request?

We've had to sign another lease where we are so we'll be in our small place for a while anyway.

Doesn't look like we are going to have a 2014 baby   but Hell I have my 2012 baby so it's all good.

Happy 15 months James! :) It's going too fast isn't it?! I guess you must be disappointed not to have another baby this year but personally I think you'll be able to enjoy another bubba more when James is that bit older - I can't imagine how hard it must be to have 2 at such a close age. Plus, it will be better when you have a bigger place :) xxx

your getting as bad as me updating this!!!

How are you hun? Hows work?

The good weather is starting to come in here too yay swim time and park time!

Missed the 16 month update yesterday as my bloody cat had been missing all week and I found her yesterday.. She had to go to vets though is is currently in a collar and has a drain on a deep cut on her leg.

Naughty Amber.

James is fine, he has been a bit poorly with a sickness bug, he is much more himself today though. I've never seen so much vomit though and I have a bit fo a phobia of sick

He isn't saying anything yet bless him, lots of babbling and shouting but no words!

God I can't believe we are at 17 months already.

Time is flying away from me.

James had had a fantastic few weeks (after a few illnesses).. He has a back tooth poking through and I can see loads more under the gums.

He has been having a wonderful time with my sister and her boys, he gets all excited when I ring on her doorbell in the morning  which is so reassuring. I have no qualms about leaving him.

He had his first haircut last week with Daddy (and was an angel? Which is crazy as he goes mad when I try to brush his teeth or measure his feet). We'd talked about getting his hair done but OH just went and did it , thankfully the barber gave us a few locks of James' hair to keep.

James is thriving, he is a very tall boy (he is as tall as my friends kids who are both 11 months older than him and he is also as tall as my nephew who is 3 - to be fair this nephew is dinky though)

He is still in 12-18 month clothes so he isn't a giant.

We still don't have much going on in the terms of talking. James mimics sounds and babbles away, he also understands everything we say but no actual words.

The only blot on the horizon is James' constipation. We have seen several GP's and no-one has really been able to help. We've tried Lactoluse and Movicol. I have even taken to watering down his milk as he doesn't drink much water. We're off to see HV this week about it.

Other than that life is all good. Work is fine, keeping me busy.

Can't believe our babies are 17 months! Time is flying now! glad to hear everything is well with the little man, apart from his poo issues. That must be tough. Does he not like fruit juice? I know you're not supposed to give them too much sweet stuff, but dentists say it's ok with meals... Hope you get some answers soon - can you ask for a specialist referral as there has to be a reason. Enjoy the Easter weekend hon xx

Wow he is such a cutie. And looking so grown up! You still waiting a few months before ttc again? Your ovaries must be twitching!

Have you tried butternut squash for the poo problem? Always gives Freya a dam good clear out when she needs it. Not a long term solution I suppose but might help in meantime? X

18 bloody months old?? Jeez!

Feels like just yesterday I was waiting for him to arrive, at the same time it feels like I have never been without him?

James is thriving - learning new tricks by the day and getting naughtier and cheekier.

He still isn't great with talking but I know he understands everything so he'll get there.

James also gained a new cousin recently. Little Katie was born 2 weeks ago and after 6 grandsons my folks finally have a granddaughter.

In other news James is (God willing) going to be a big brother! Very early days but EDD 20th Jan 2015

Oooh just read this, congrats hon! Fx for a sticky bean.... On another note, can you believe our babies are now little boys! They're so much fun aren't they?! Hope you're well xxx

Thought I'd update as we are on holiday tomorrow... I am very excited.

Packing all done, James has the biggest case in the world

Life has been hectic but good. James has been with my sister and her two youngest boys and he loves it. He gets excited when we get to her door and he doesn't want to come home.

James has started speaking, it's not clear but I can completely understand. We have "up there" - when he sees a plane.. he loves planes. "Go out" is another fave. Also shoes, socks, car, cat. So we're getting there. James is a shy little talker though and if I ask him to repeat he gets all bashful.

Whilst the speaking isn't amazing his level of understanding has grown so much. He is truly interactive now.... he loves to help with the housework (especially putting things in the bin - including his toys and beakers :wall2:) and he loves to put stuff in the washing machine.

I can believe how much he understands and how well he undertakes tasks.

The tantrums have tailed off a bit and we are back to being a sunny, happy little creature who loves to run and climb and dance and basically not sit still.

We have a few more teeth as well, so we now have upper and lower molars.

All in all the past few months have been massive in terms of development.

I think little man has got the start of a cold which is just typical the day before holiday so I am packing a whole medicine cabinet.

Back next week, hope to have some nice holiday pics then.
