Happy 9 months James and happy 9 months of being a fantastic mummy xx

Great update Nat!
James sounds like a right little character now :)

I hope his teeth don't give him too much trouble. What are you using for them? I find Nelsons teetha crystals to be the best xx

Awww sounds like he's doing brilliantly, he's over taken Jacob now in clothes as well as weight hehe. So chuffed for you hunny, hope his toothy peg doesn't upset him too much, Jacob gets on well with Ashton's and parsons (although we usually only have to give it once or twice per tooth)

Happy 9 months James, what a clever little boy you are :) xx

Happy 9m cutie!

Your getting so big and handsome! Like ur mumma :p

Yes, your handsome Nat

xxxxx

Ah, happy 9 months James :) Sorry I missed it but been a hectic few days... Harry is exactly the same, a complete monkey and changing nappies, getting him dressed, bathing etc has all become very challenging in the last few weeks :) The worst is when he's done a big poo and trying to change his nappy when he doesn't want to stay in 1 place lol. How quick the time has gone though! Now our babies have almost been out for as long as they were in! xxx

Happy belated 9 months to Harry too hun

xxxxxxx

Wow James is 9 months old! He is just gorgeous Nat. I wouldn't worry about how much he can/ can't do as they all learn at their own pace. Although it sounds as though he is finding himself moving around, Harry didn't do a proper crawl until he was 1, before that he commando crawled everywhere on his belly. You will find that all of a sudden he is doing so much and you don't know when it changed lol xx

I've just ordered James an Amber anklet (I was too scared to get the necklace) as he seems to be suffering with his teeth.

We've had a bottom one just poking through for a week but it's not progressed.

My poor little placid and easy going baby is now a screaming, angry little monster

Luckily he's been OK with his sleep, we're using granules and bonjela but haven't yet had to resort to Calpol.

He is OK most of the time but eating seems to be a bit painful so we're back to screaming at mealtimes. He'll be fine one moment and then you can literally see him have a wave of pain.

I wish there was something more I could do, it breaks my heart to see him suffering... He is such a screamer as well. So when it hurts my God we know about it...

Come on toothy pegs!

the calpol would really help his pain and the screaming ....also I found calgel much better than bonjela.....
my lo got 8 teeth from 4 months bless so I feel your pain
what granules are u trying?
ashton parsons are good and the chamomile ones just for keeping him calm not for actual pain relief
x

I've got the Nelson powder?

I couldn't find the other one.

We've also been using Bikipegs (the biscuits things) and I am letting him gnaw on his spoons and plastic cups as that seems to ease his discomfort?

Do they build up immunity to Calpol? I am jut worried that I start giving it to him and then it will stop working?

xxxxxxx

Ah poor James - Harry is having a tough time too. I don't think they can build up immunity to calpol as I spoke to GP about it and she said you can use it for up to a week. I also think of it as if I was in so much pain, I'd want some painkillers too! I try not to use it unless he seems particularly bad, but sometimes I think it's not so bad to use medicine if they're really in pain. Personally I'm dubious about how much teething gels and powders do, but I know some people swear by them. Let's hope this difficult period passes soon xxx

I dotn think they build up immunity? at least that's what my hubby says (he is a doc) so I have to trust him ha ha
try calgel it was a god send!

Calpol is ready to go, although touch wood James has been fine - typical lol!

xxxxxxxx

Aww poor little man aunty netty might have to send him something to chew on!

Well we used Calgel from 8 weeks, can use every 20mins - so that's a good one.

Also we used practically all the nuby teething toys & those little links are amazing J used them from early teething we have links everywhere!!

Calpol we only gave at night before bed because he had the gel during the day.

I agree, the bonjela is shit compared to Calgel.

Hope this toothy peg pops through quick style!

xxxxx

Well it's been 10 days Claire and still not popped through lol. Will def have a look out for Calgel.

I've just given him half a dose of Calpol as he's been so unsettled.

Hopefully he'll have a nice nap and Mummy can get some chores done

xxxxxx

Have agreed to do a few KIT days (Friday and Tuesday) and MIL is going to mind James....

I am now freaking out as I have only ever left James a handful of times with anyone other than Daddy. [I've left him with my Mum a few times for a few hours and BIL one evening]

I wonder how he'll be after a whole 8 hours without me or OH?

Bet he'll be glad of the change of scenery lol

xxxx

How did the calpol work nat? Has the tooth appeared yet?

I reccomend ambasol liquid for teething as I think gels just slip off the gums and don't work very well x

I'm sure James will be fine good luck on ur kit days :)

Good luck with your kit days hunny. You're braver than me. Although looking at my September (which is when I'm supposed to return to work) it looks impossible for me to go back anyway lol x
