I'm from various places in Scotland - I have no idea what a risole is or a faggot.

In Edinburgh we order salt and sauce with our chips, which is a special Edinburgh chip sauce, kind of tastes like a vinegary brown sauce, but different.

Bakery products - do any of you know what a buttery or a rowie is? Or a bannock?

I call the Warburtons image in Kimbo's first post, rolls maybe floury or crusty rolls depending on what they are like.

they're in cake shops and in the cake fridge at asda so that makes them a cake

No kimbo u cant get chips and gravy down here in cornwall if i have asked for it in the past i get a weird look

Also down here if i mention oatcakes(staffordshire ones im originally from crewe) i also get a strange look..its nice when my nanna comes down as she brings a stash of them along with proper cheshire cheese!!!

we used to take bag fulls of them to my dad when he was in Hereford - now he's in turkey we can't get them there Oatcakes are the best cure for a hangover
