February testing thread 2019

My concern would be that I would say that and then have another chemical and be back at the beginning of the process and out of pocket because I’ve already paid for these appointments x

oh i see, if youve paid for them already then leave testing till when you see fit

Period due today according to all 4 () of my apps but nothing yet. I feel she's on her way though. Sore boobs & nausea. Usual symptoms for me.
I do feel more tired than usual though & 'foggy'. I've been a bit forgetful the last few days & a bit more accident prone.

Your definitely not out. This could be anything hun. Early Implantation? X

Thanks, I can spot from as early as 1dpo! Honestly don’t know what is going on with my body most of the time, guess I’ll just have to wait and see

Joining in for February! Period due 12th Feb, but put me down for 11th please. Good luck everyone and baby dust to all.

This month I started taking Coq10 and for the first time in FOREVER I noticed a very small blob of EWCM - was gluggy(?sp), but def stretched between two fingers. I have an avg 27-28 day cycle and this was on cd12. I don't know much about EWCM as I never have it but is it similar to a positive LH test in the sense that it happens BEFORE you're ov or during? No idea!! Have BD'd CD 11, 12, 13. I've stopped ovulation testing and I don't temp so never certain about when I actually Ov.

I also got my day 1-3 bloods back. Logged into my online GP account and my GP has signed them all off as normal - they all are except for one. My FSH is 10. Bit worried. Paid for a private AMH which was 15.7... any thoughts? My estradiol which also rises when leading to menopause was normal.

This is cycle 6 TTC post ectopic, currently awaiting a tube check and then seriously considering IVF. Time is of the essence I feel...

I think higher the AMH the better? FSH ive heard anything 10 or below is good what did your doctor say about your FSH? Mine was 8.2 and they gave a max of 8.8 'normal' my ivf clinic said its a good result.
How old are you? How long ttc?

Thanks for your reply. I am 35 and my AMH is within range for my age. I haven't seen my GP yet as I'm just going to wait till I've had my tube check (this is being done as I'm still under the care of the hospital where I had my ectopic)... but she's signed them off online as normal. From what I can see, above 8 is high. Occasionally, less than 10 is classed as normal. Just have to wait to find out.

Took four months TTC that resulted in ectopic. Now 6 months and nothing. I expect it to take longer with just one tube but I have no children and am 36 this year. Time isn't what I've got a lot of.

Everywhere i can see says 10 and below FSH is fine... I believe a IVF clinic goes more by AMH so if yours is high id be really happy if i was you. I dont know if you can see the range your GP gives for a normal FSH? On mine when i logged in it said 8.8 is highest of normal (mine 8.2) i got naturally very scared thinking i must now be pre menapausal etc.. i contacted what will be my IVF clinic & they said the test results were good / normal for FSH. I wish i could get a AMH my doctors refuse cause my FSH is 'fine' apparently! :(

Trying conceive plus this cycle and also SMEP. Feeling very positive after month break. Been a long month though.

The thing with the AMH is that the range for each age band is quite big - so although 'normal' for my age, I think taking age away, an optimal AMH would be 28 and above. I do think mine is workable though. The AMH is much more accurate as doesn't change through the cycle. I went to a private clinic and paid for my AMH - £120 but worth knowing. I didn't need a referral just for the blood test either.

I've read some women having multiple FSH tests which have been vastly different results each time. My GP online site saids the upper limit for normal is 8 which is why I was a bit confused her signing them all off as normal but I guess perhaps they don't look at just one in isolation.

Hm is weird as both my gp & ivf clinic said im normal at 8.2fsh?
Have you asked any ivf clinic about it.. tell your local one your fsh & amh & see what they think. Mine told me my fsh was normal so? They are the ones who matter after all if you need ivf they will be ones deciding how good of a candidate you are etc :)

Thank you :)

As I said earlier, my other bloods were normal so I can only presume that as other bloods can also suggest pre-menopausal and were normal, she's not concerned. I'll ask my GP when I see her. I don't think if I called an IVF clinic that they would just chat with me about my results. I can always ask one of the consultant gynaecologists at work who specialises in fertility when I see them next. But really, I'm just holding fire until I've had my tube check as then everything has been done/tested before determining the next step which for me I think will be IVF even if the tube is clear. We can keep trying naturally until the IVF starts.

I am still under the care of the hospital where I had my ectopic. I lost a tube. So at my followup I asked about checking the remaining tube. They said if not conceived after 6 months and allowing time for my body to heal, they would refer me for one. So I was meant to have it this month but they were fully booked during my dates. Hoping for better luck when AF shows in two weeks x
