I'm scared the pethadine will make me feel sick, what sort of way does it work? Do you get drowsy?

Im not sure i really want pethadine thinking gas and air to begin with hopefully with water birth and then epidural if needed.

Also i Updated :)

a dont want what happened to my mam to happen to me she went in and they said it was to late for any pain relief :O

We have to wait to go in here until contractions are 3-4 mins apart owww !!! When my Mum had me it was 7-8 mins apart !!

Pethadine just relaxes u n makes u feel warm n drowsy.
But knocks the hell out of the pain for 4-6 hours :D

Hmm I won't like being drowsy.. At least the gas and air is in my control to start and stop when i want. I'm such a baby when it comes to all the pain relief so I just struggle on without lol

Im going with gas n air first. Then maybe pethadine. I'm trying to avoid running for an epidural first

my hospital doesnt do epidurals so i have no choice lol

Reeeeeeally? I've never heard of that. So what are ur options? N what if u a person has to have a c-section??

they dont have the docotor not sure tbh what my options are lol. Alot of people have complained about not being able to have a epidural
