Aww Suzanne that sounds amazing! Seems totally mad that there's a baby inside?! (I know that sounds bonkers, we've all been plagued by the pregnancy symptoms but i think until I see the scan it won't feel real!!) xxx
We're almost in trimester 2 ladies!!!!
 
Can't wait for tri 2, no more shit symptoms, no more spots from the hormones, no more looking like a bag of crap, I'm looking forward to the tri 2 bloom :)
 
Me to pumpkin I've hit the 12 weeks today, so 1 week to go! I hope the bloom exists lol can't remember ever having abloom with dd
How everyone's bumps? Can u tell? I've a slight one so wearing tunics to hide it lol! When I lie down there is def a hard bump eek x
 
Hey ladies, sorry I have been a tad quiet. My scan is this afternoon and I'm absolutely panicking, bricking it, haven't been able to relax and feel so down that I just can't explain it. Hoping that all is well and that I'll finally be able to chill afterwards. Eek!

I've seen most of your lovely scan pix already and to those that are waiting, I hope it's not too much longer! x

Well....I'm soooooooo disappointed. I've just rang antenatal clinic to find out when my 12 week saying scan is as I still didn't have an appointment, only to be told that because I had a scan at EPAU when I was 8 weeks then I won't get another and that will be classed as my dating scan. I wouldn't feel so mad about it if Id been told that in the first place, but I wasnt, and I had an early scan with alice and still got a dating scan. Never mind.
She told me I've got a consultant appointment next Thursday (I had to be referred with this being baby number 5) and then my 20 week scan on 14th September. Seems soooooo long away x

Mrshttc that's bloody awful how disappointed! I would imagine the 12 weeks would be completely different to an 8 week how frustrating for u and such a long wait till your 20 week scan! I would mention it on Thursday tell them u were nt informed it seems so unfair x

I think you need it for reassurance at times aswell, and going from 8 to 20 weeks without that reassurance that everything is ok just feels awful. Even my midwife didn't say at my booking in appointment. Never mind? Not much I can do about it now. Feel a bit bad for my husband though as only I went in for the 8 week scan as he was looking after alice, so he won't get a chance to see this little one until 20 weeks x
 
Thank you so much MrsHttc and suzanneeroglu! It all went great thankfully! Phew! Seen bubba with a good heartbeat and got to see it do complete flip around and move its hands and feet! It was magical! A tear escaped from my eye because I welled up at seeing bubba and I think it was a relief that all seems okay do far! I will defo get the wee pix on later as we are only home as our appointment took forever! Appointment was at 2.10pm and we weren't seen until near 3pm. Then by time booking in chat, bloods and medical questions completed, we didn't get out until about 5.30pm. I didn't really mind though seeing as I got some reassurance the bubba is there and hearts beating away. Again, thank you ladies. x x

ETA: Forgot the add that my EDD has been brought forward until 29th January so I'm technically going to be 13 weeks tomorrow! Eek!

Oh my goodness! That's so awful hunnie! I agree with suzanneeroglu that you should tell them that you weren't informed and how upset it has made you feel as your hubby has missed out on seeing your bubba for the first time on screen. You're so right about it being reassuring. Oh I hope that you get it sorted and they give you one! x

My scan is 1 week on Wednesday 29th I'll be 12+6 then but that's when we will tell everyone can't wait to tell my daughter

Wow so u been pushed forward a bit how exciting tri2 for u tomo? So glad your scan went good really pleased for u hunni.

Tri hopping here but thats not right, they cant check the things that need to be checked at 8 weeks, also have u opted for NT screening, downs etc as they have to do that between 11.5-14 weeks? U have definitely been misinformed so ring up and query again, u will absolutely be entitled to a normal 12 week scan x

My goodness, that's not right at all. Maybe its different over here in N.Ireland but you should be getting a scan around 12 weeks no matter how many scans you've had at EPU. I'd ring them tomorrow and not be a bit soft x
 
Thanks ladies. I'm going to call again today and speak to someone else. I've had an early scan with all of my babies and still got a 12 week one. What's more disappointing is no pics. That's something the kids have been looking forward to seeing...plus it's just those things that you keep isn't it. So ill have 12 week scan pics for all if my children but not this one. I can't see the nhs giving me another scan though when dating can be done from 8 weeks onwards �� x

No Carla, I didn't opt for nt scan, I never have with any of them, so I didn't this time either. Was thinking I should of told the hospital I did then I would get one lol x

I still think your entitled to a 12 week scan! Why did u have the early scan, was it pain/bleeding etc? X
 
Yeah it was bleeding. I've had a small bleed early on in all of my pregnancies, but then I had a very red bleed a couple of weeks after the 'normal' one, which is why I went to EPAU. Xx
