Derren brown - faith healing

Just wondered if anyone else is watching this? Probably not lol. This is some of the stuff I had to see a lot while growing up. Although they're not doing the whole deliverance thing and coughing into buckets so far. It's interesting though. I've just found out how some of those 'faith healers' trick people!
Need to be careful watching stuff like this though. It's very much like a car crash for me, I know I probably shouldn't watch but I can't not watch it!

Yep it was very interesting and very sad how these so called faith healers get away with it they went to Kenneth copelands compound. He came to the cult I was in to preach when I was little!

I thought it was great, cause even though Derren is openly an Atheist, he was still really respectful of the religion surrounding it.

I think faith healing is a load of s**t. Having been brought up in the church environment I've seen first hand what the music and the atmosphere can do to people x

Thought it was really interesting to see just how much/well people react whilst in that situation x

By faith healing I mean people who openly ask for money - I'm not saying I don't believe that god can heal people! Don't want to cause any arguments lol x x

I love the shows he does, he really does make you open your eyes a lot.
I watched it and was greatly hurt by the scam these fake healers pull off. Adrenaline can be such a powerful thing. A mother can prove to be more stronger than a weightlifter if she had an adrenaline rush in attempt to save her child. Madness.

Yeah I was surprised how respectful he was actually. I suppose he has to be but it was good what he said at the end about the show not being against regular church goers etc. It would be great if that did open some peoples eyes

I didn't see it but wish I had! I've never seen 'faith healers' but it really upsets me what people do in God and Jesus' name I believe God does heal people but I don't believe in these people.

It'll be on 4OD Helen, I wonder if these people started out 'good' but then got taken over by money and greed?! And it just showed if you know how, then anyone an call themselves a faith healer in Gods name and make ALOT of money!

I watched this last night & find it sickening that these 'faith healers' manipulate innocent vulnerable people who will put everything into their faith & beliefs in god

The message 'Pastor James' gave at the end of his service was amazing & just hope it can open some people's eyes in what these phoneys are like

I saw a bit of it and then tiredness overcame me! Me, my sister and an ex of mine used watch benny hinn doing his faith healing on sky all the time! Awful how yhey can get away with things, like the blind man that wasn't totally blind an the deaf woman that wasn't totally deaf!

No not at all hun, I didn't personally but I remember a few people went to see him and they were always talking about him as well......weirdo's

He wasn't supposed to be pushing them over thats the sad thing

People refer to it as being "slain" by the hand of Jesus christ It's sad what these people are doing to people who genuinely believe..

I was crying at the bit where the Trinity guy was telling derren and nathan about the 13 year old girl who paid off her $1000 over the course of a year using pocket money and money her gran gave her) to be healed of MS...only to be told she must have "secret sin" when she wasn't healed...She then killed herself..

It's honestly sick

it's so sad that these people take advantage of peoples faith and ill health. It's scary the reactions they get. They're so extreme, even though the 'healers' are absolute fakes.

The thing is, with reading the bible and studying it, the things these guys are doing is actually against God! To tell someone they must have 'secret sin' is a contradictory term as nothing is secret from God! That's horrific that she killed herself-she was just a child it makes me so sad that people will use faith, belief etc for their own gain!
