***December babies! Tri 2 :) ***

Ooh lots to catch up on!

That's great JoeyClare- hope it's made you feel a bit better. I had the screening done and I'm not sure why I did as I wouldn't have an amino either. Pleased I did due to low PAPP A but my god when the phone rang and she said it was the midwife wanting to talk about the screening! If I'd not had the screening I wouldn't now be taking aspirin everyday to try to help the placenta and I wouldn't have a consultant. Appt is 27th July for that.

Migraines! The bugger of my life! I've migrainous vertigo which impacts me daily. It's dreadful at the moment. Well, that's what the Drs guess it is (and it is guesswork) but I still feel like I've been dying a slow death for years. I have some symptoms of migraines every day, vertigo at the forefront even when I don't have head pain. Pregnancy has really brought it out and I'm really not feeling good at the moment.

Midwife appt a week on Tuesday. I'm convinced they try to hear the heartbeat! Definitely did with my daughter.

Yes I'm rhesus negative too. Argh! The Anti-D hurts stings like a biatch! Not looking forward to that X

Hi, how's everyone keeping?

Think this little one is having a wee growth spurt! All yesterday and half the night I've had loads of abdominal pain like cramping and stretching. Everything I've read says it's totally normal but can't help but worry when it feels cramp!! This is my first so is all new to me, anyone else had this?x

Hi Celene!

Debz I've had that the last few days! It's very crampy! Lots of twinges and pulls when I move in a certain way. It was the same when I was pregnant with my daughter X

Thanks Vic, very reassuring to know it's not just me, can't help but worry trying to guess what's normal or not!

Yes it's weird - all the changes you're experience are felt differently by everyone, but light cramping which is brief, twinges, pulls, aches, heaviness are all normal. As long as you're not in blinding pain or bleeding, try not to worry. Just remember all your organs are moving about and leave the thinking at that!!! X

Cramps are totally normal with a bit of growth. I just wish they didn't feel like AF cramps!! Every time I had them in my first trimester, I was nipping to the loo to check! Even though I had them through my first pregnancy and know they're normal. 14 weeks today! Well and truly 2nd trimester now. Not enjoying the heat much!

had my scan today and been promoted to 2nd tri ( I think) My new due date is the 24th December so I am 13w1

she said everything looked good, saw a couple of lovely in between leg shots but couldn't make out the gender.

Has everyone moved over to tri2? I'm only 12+5 so feel like an imposter being in here already

Can I join you ladies? Tri 1 has gone a bit quiet (and lonely), I had a private scan Saturday to take our little girl to introduce her baby sister/brother. It was amazing, she is so excited and really looking after me, even worrying about what I eat - melts my heart. They put me forward a few days making me 13+3 today, but will hangfire on my estimated due date till after my dating scan on Friday (glad I've had the Harmony test already as I'm sure I'll be too late for the combined test, I did ring and notify the ultrasound department when the date came through, but apparently according to the snooty lady that took my call 'they know what they are doing').

How are you all coping with the heat? x

Hello Pickle! That's great - scan sounds wonderful! And your girl sounds so cute. I had a pain in my side when I sat forward today and my just turned 3 yr old said 'mummy are you ok? Is the baby ok?' Bless her!!

I'm not coping with the heat! Awful! It's meant to be cooler here tomorrow X

So glad all the scans are going well. Will be the 20 week scans before we know it.

It's driving me mad knowing we could find out the sex in a few days, but it's a firm NO from my OH. He has his heart set on a surprise and I feel guilty pushing him xx

I'm 14 weeks today! 1/3 of the way there. I've been in and out of hospital from 5 weeks with HG and yesterday went in because I was sure I was dehydrated after only drinking 1 cup of tea over each day for 2 days and not keeping any food or fluid down. But I was wrong! I only had 1+ ketones so I had an overview of my medications and sent on my way. So I am really hoping that it is a sign that trimester 2 has better health in store for me and baby. It's been 4 or 5 weeks since I have felt well enough to get up and sit on the sofa and the days are long just being spent in bed.
Oh yes got my letter about the NT tests and it has come back as low risk. 1 in 25000 for ds and 1 in 50000 for the other two disorders.

Yep hey still do HB st 16wks - had mine today! I hate this period in between scans so it's such a relief to hear. My 20wk scan is on the 14th July. It's flying right?! I'm rhesus negative which I knew so just have to be careful about knocks to my belly. Anyone else?
Next mw appt isn't until 28 weeks, they really don't care about second babies as much! x

I'm also rhesus negative :)

Let me know if you find out the gender! I've started adding then to the main page :) :yellow: :pink: :blue:

Congratulations on the scans ladies.

How are you all finding the heat?

We found out today that we are having a boy :-)

imo - congratulations, lovely news.

Hating the heat. It's actually making me feel very unwell. I'm staying indoors as my little Luca isn't coping well with it either. Was 29 today and it'll be 34 tomorrow xx

Aww that's lovely news imo.

It's been cooler here today bit going to be warmer and thunder forecast tomorrow. I have felt really poorly with the heat the last few days but not massively more than non pregnant! X

I've been really struggling in the heat, it's been making me dizzy, faint and brings on more migraines. I've also been exhausted, I was told 2nd trimester was the best part of pregnancy well it's not felt like it so far.

It's not helped by air conditioning wars in our office, there are 8 of us I am desperate for the air con to be on and most people are happy with it as well. However one woman won't have it on because of environmental concerns so keeps turning it off!!!!
