***December babies! Tri 2 :) ***

I got maternity jeans from H&M, some for work and some casual ones, am really liking them, fit well and really comfy.

We went for a wee look at travel systems at the weekend just to see what was on offer and ended up finding a really good deal so I now have my travel system! So that's a big tick off the list. Am excitied we have it but still feel have got it very early, was planning to wait until after the next scan to start shopping. I'm such a worrier!!

Oh excellent karleigh, I had a look online and they look comfy and proper skinny. I'll need to try H&M too! I'm not a leggings person but might get some for about the house!

That's a big one ticked off debz. What system did you go for? We've had a look about and found one we like so hopefully going to get it soon xx

Ooh that's really exciting Debs! Speaking of travel systems im totally clueless about the whole thing and don't really in where to start. We had decided a travel system made sense but I've since read others say it's better to get a proper car seat and separate pram and I really don't know what's best. We live quite remotely so any trips out would require a car journey and this would be about an hours drive from the grandparents. I know that babies shouldn't be in the car seat for too long so any visits to see them and we would have to lift them out if the seat anyway. Any advice?

Joey we're just getting the car seat that goes with the pram for the first few months, then upgrading to a car seat when they're bigger that'll last us until they're older. I'm just going by my first child, we would be in and out the car and houses with the car seat and having a lightweight one made things much easier. If we nipped into a shop we'd just take the car seat in etc rather than setting up the whole pram. I'm doing that again to make my life easier to be honest! Once baby is bigger and things are easier I'll put in a proper car seat that gets left in the car xx

We were clueless as well, went to the local pram centre and the girl was amazing. Showed us different styles and options available. We got the mamas & papas flip xt. They have just brought out the xt2 so got a really good deal on the older one and the only difference is the colour range they have not made any other changes. The car seat is an infant maxi-cosi which has adapters to fit the chassis. We will need to replace the car seat after about a year but with the deal we were getting cant complain about that. I wanted the travel system rather than separate as am new to this so don't know yet what I'll use the most.

I was shown that you can now get a lie-flat car seat with some ranges which would mean you wouldn't need to lift baby out the car seat just move it to the lie-flat position when taken out of the car. One company that does this is Cybex, can't remember the other ones. This company was a bit out of my price range and I won't need to do many long journeys so would have been a pure luxury for me.

Thank you both, I particularly like the sound of the lie flat option and since our journeys will be a bit longer than most it probably makes sense to spend a little extra. We will definitely be going in to have a look in person before buying but this helps narrow things down!

Joeypops - the car seat that reclines is the Cybex Cloud Q. This is what we were going for but now we've decided against it. It's only allowed in the reclined position on the pram and we probably wouldn't use it on the pram all too much. Also, it's unbelievably heavy so if advise going and checking it out. We're going for the Maxi Cosi pebble plus instead.

I had the Mamas and Papas flip xt with my son but switched to the Bugaboo Cameleon 3 after 6 months. The XT was way too heavy for me personally. I'd never get anything other than Bugaboo now. Luckily we didn't get rid of it after Luca. I'm just going to buy new fabrics for it xx

Can I just add that I did love the XT, that sounded so negative. I'm just very petite and struggled with it xx

Sorry I've been quiet! I do check in daily but always forget to post!
How is everyone doing?
We're all moved now! Finally getting to relax a little! I bought some maternity stuff from H&M & newlook as they've got a sale on at the mo, but currently everything is massive on me! I'm still in my normal clothes but things are starting to get a little tight, I don't look pregnant at all, as husband keeps saying I just look like I've overindulged a little! Especially at the end of the day when bloat sets in! My mums very impressed that I'm still in my size 8s & have zero weight gain, but at 15 weeks I'm a little worried?

Also, is anyone getting any movement? I've really started to notice it the last couple of days! Saturday I laid on the floor on my tummy and I felt a roll, like the ones you get right at the end of pregnancy, was the weirdest thing!

My maternity jeans are Mothercare. They're not amazing, but not horrendous! I had topshop ones with my first pregnancy and wore them constantly until I actually wore them out! I'm thinking of trying Asda. They have some on their website and I've got a few pairs of their normal jeans and found the fit well. I resent spending loads on clothes I'll be wearing for a few months! Just had a dress arrive from ASOS today. It was only £20. It's a blue pencil dress with pink flowers on it. Plenty of room for my bump to grow, so hoping to wear it for my friends wedding in September. I already have blue and pink accessories, so keeps costs down!!

Got my 20 week scan through. It's on the 21st July. I'll actually only be 18+5, but I'm away for 2 weeks over 19.5-21.5 weeks, so they've booked it in early. Got to take my appt into work which I'm dreading as I don't think they're going to like it as it's the last day of term. I'd need to leave at about 10:45 and then I may be back for end of the day depending on what the hospital wait is like.

I've been feeling movement too, lots of rolling, only in the evenings really when I binge on chocolate. I definitely have a bump but some days I feel huge and the next feel tiny, makes me feel anxious but I know I just need to relax xx

My maternity jeans are from Dorothy Perkins they're great for me because they do a range of leg lengths and I found that really helped with the fit!

I've started to look at travel systems etc too, we went to a mothercare event last week but I ended up feeling so overwhelmed by everything, everyone else there seemed to know what they needed except me!!!

Evening...or nearly morning!

Midwife appt tomorrow. Hopefully she'll listen to the heartbeat. I am really worrying this time around. It's in the afternoon but 1pm so not too long to wait.

I'm sure I felt a bit of movement a couple of weeks ago but nothing since. Bump is massive sometimes too, then small other times - especially in the morning! I at the top end of stretching my summer clothes from last due to weight gain generally so already in maternity as it's comfy. Got some nice tops and leggings from Asda actually, and ordered a top today from the sale at Dorothy Perkins.

We're keeping our travel system we had for our daughter. It's a Graco Evo. Barely used the pushchair as I can't walk far generally so only when there's a few shops or at a park or holidays really. I'm not a walk the baby to sleep round the streets type! Car seat gets use on the wheels! We got a great deal then on the car seat and pushchair. No faffing with carry cots or prams as it lies down from birth.

Good luck at your appointment today Vic. I'm anxious too, it's crazy, with my son I never worried about anything whatsoever. My 16 week appt is on Thursday at 3:30 (had to get a later appt as OH wanted to be there and he gets home from work at 3).

Weathers absolutely terrible here in London and having to keep a toddler entertained indoors is proving quite difficult xx

Good luck for your appointment on Thursday! I'm lucky our clinic at the doctors is a Tuesday afternoon as that's the day my daughter is at nursery! Raining here, set in for a few days I think! X

Well blood pressure and urine are ok. Didn't check for the heartbeat, it's do dependant upon the midwife it seems. Quite annoying really. I get why they don't do it until after 20 weeks but it's the inconsistency that annoys me so much. Had nothing to say to the midwife really! Still haven't met my actual midwife either X

I've got my 16 week appt tomorrow. I'll be 15+3. I had this midwife with my last pregnancy and she didn't do heartbeat till 25 weeks, so anticipating the same.

Vic - sorry you didn't get to hear the heartbeat but glad everything else went ok.

JoeyClare - hope yours goes well tomorrow sweetie.

Midwife called me not long ago to say my vitamin d is very low so I've got to pick up a prescription on Thursday. I have another migraine today and I'm absolutely exhausted. Luca's been bored as we've been stuck in all day and he keeps smacking my bump, it's really starting to stress me out. Anthony's in the kitchen cooking sausages and mash, so excited to eat, it's all I do, all day long, I can't stop xx

Thanks Lulu. I had low vitamin D last year. They checked it just before I was pregnant and it's a whopping 70 now! Hopefully those tablets will bring it back up quickly ooh we're having sausages and mash too! Lol x
