****December 2014 mums to be! Christmas babies!!*****

I wondered the same thing hun but I don't think you can - I couldn't figure it out anyway xx

Boo! That sucks. Thought it would be nice to share.

Evening ladies :)

I also found babies heartbeat this evening - I've found it before but only for a couple of seconds before it seemed to wriggle away but got a nice clear reading of 135bpm on my doppler which was a relief as I've been feeling awful today and was worried there was something wrong.

Started getting a sore upper abdomen this morning and it gradually just got worse and worse, was out for lunch and could barely walk to the toilet as was getting spasms and felt like all my insides were twisting. To cut a long story short it seems to have been a really bad case of trapped wind (from both ends!) and after I left the restaurant and got home I was able to let it out but I've not felt good all day, couldn't stomach dinner and am still tender in the upper abdomen. Not sure if it's pregnancy related or whether I just have a bit of a difficult stomach - wondering if I have IBS as I do have odd things quite often and bloating etc.

Hope everyone else is doing well this evening :)

8 days til my gender scan!!! X

Rose that sounds uncomfy, hope you feel better today!
Jai, hope your plan works
How are you feeling today, Cariad?

I couldn't sleep for ages last night, must've been 2am when I got to sleep then my daughter decides 4.50am is fair game to wake up. So were currently watching Teletubbies. Thank god in working from home today as I'm shattered.
I'm having a bit of a 'I'm pregnant and therefore I'm going to worry about everything' moment. No doubt because I didn't sleep enough!!
On the upside I'm 18 weeks today and baby is the size of a sweet potato! Also only a week till the anomaly scan! Scary and exciting!!

Hope you all have lovely days.xxx

Morning all. X

Rose I hope you're feeling better. I've had painful trapped wind but not as bad as yours sounds. X

Goat I hope you manage to catch up on some sleep. I couldn't get to sleep last night as all I could feel was baby kicking. It's the first time I properly felt it and I just couldn't stop smiling. Then I woke up at about 4am needing to pee and there was a huge spider in my bathroom sink. I went back to bed but couldn't stop thinking about this spider. Luckily OH woke up after what seemed like ages but was probably 10-15 mins so I got him to get rid of it. By then a was half awake so struggled to get back to sleep again.

Also happy 18 weeks Goat! X

It's nearly the weekend :)

oh nikb, I would've been the same as I hate spiders. Thank goodness for your OH!!! Yesterday hubby went out to get something and I was on the sofa reading my daughter a story and from the corner of my eye I saw a big fat spider crawl along the floor, in front of my feet. I was holding in my utter fear and disgust as I dont want my daughter having the same silly fears that i do. So I decided to try and scare it away my stomping my feet loudly on the floor. Then, I kid you not, it leaped - almost like a skater on a pond and ran towards me to hide under the sofa. I was terrified, clung onto my daughter who was none the wiser until hubby got home. Made him hunt out the beast but he couldn't find it. So it's still here!!!!! *Shudder*

Morning ladies!

Had a lovely moment this morning whilst giving Harrison his morning bottle & could feel baby boy having a good old kick! Seems I've already got some sibling rivalry on my hands haha!

Your almost half way now goat how exciting! X

Just out of the doctor for my 16 week appointment. All well he said tummy feels right and let me hear the heartbeat. Glad all is well. Just waiting now to see the nurse for a urine sample. Really really long queue

I'm feeling better today thanks. Not brilliant but at least the headache has eased. It was horrendous yesterday it didn't shift until late last night. I think my blood pressure is still on the low side. I think baby has had a growth spurt or something which has made me feel like this as my bump looks like it's grown again - looking more rounded at the top, under bust line now.

Loza - which pram system did you choose? We also live in the country side and I think we will be walking lots so will need something robust. I'm going looking this weekend but seriously I have no idea! To be honest I hate the look of these modern pushchairs but I suppose it's the design that fits most peoples life styles these days.

Oh Goat I had similar happen to me a few weeks ago when OH was out. I almost chapped on the neighbour's door but I don't really know them. I eventually managed to put a glass over it until OH got home to put it out lol.

Feeling ok today despite the lack of sleep. I'm sure it will catch up with me later x

Had awful heartburn today! Wonder if I'm in for another hairy baby!?

Sarah-Louise, is that what it means? I've had it awful the past couple of days, up at 2am being sick! Not fun at all. Finally went to the dr and got some Pepcid today! But really hoping to illuminate the foods that cause it. So far my issues have been
Strawberries
Roasted vegetables

I'm told oranges, grapefruit and lemons are to be avoided as well and was advised to eat small meals often and not to eat too big before bedtime!

Anyone got any other advise?

Sorry I don't experience it so have no advise but I was prescribed peptac during weeks 6/7 of my pregnancy but it was for sickness rather than heartburn or anything else....good luck though hope you find something that helps....

When have people (or on average do most people) start to feel baby movements? I'm only 16 weeks but I'm sure today on several occasions I've felt something almost like when you go over a hill in a car and your stomach turns feels like a somersault in my belly... Do you think it could be baby?

Also for those of you who don't mind sharing how muh weight have you put on since pre pregnancy weight? I've put on 8lbs already (had put on 5lbs after 12weeks and now another 3lbs in the last 4 weeks)... One of my friends who's 2 weeks ahead of me at 18 weeks has only put on 4-5lbs I've put on double and I'm a fortnight behind her! Xx

It's one of those urban legends lozza, but it was certainly true of Harrison, he had a full mop when he was born & I suffered terribly with it all the way through with him. If the pepcid doesn't work, ask your doctor about omeprazole, it worked wonders for me last time, I've got an appt with the doctor to get some more!

I haven't put on anything still, in fact I'm 1lb lighter (in 17 weeks Sunday ). I literally dont know how as I live of junk food & fizzy drinks. Although I don't eat very much "actual food" just the odd small meal in the evenings so that's probably why! My diet isn't usually this bad but it's all I can stomach so I'm just going with it lol.

With Harrison at this point I'd put on 6lb, & went on to gain another 2.5 stone! I'm hoping to avoid that much gain this time though, as it took me 6 months to get it off again x

I had awful heartburn and both boys didnt have much hair at all.
JaL, I think it really depends on the person/placenta etc.
My anterior placenta pregnancy (first) I felt around 14 weeks, this one was around 11 weeks and at 14 i feel little kicks. I think average is around 18 weeks but dont quote me on it.

JaiandLeigh I felt flutters at around 13 weeks but this week I have definitely been feeling proper kicks and I'll be 16 weeks on Saturday. I know the feeling you're speaking about. It could be baby.

I don't weigh myself ever so no idea on weight until I see the midwife.

I was at my mum and dads earlier and my mum called me tubby. Someone else called me fatty today too. Just as well I'm not fussed eh?

Erm ladies, is anyone's libido shot through the roof? I am really tired looking after 2 children but now the sickness has lifted, i am like a mad woman
