I was - felt awful the last week, was sick at 13+4 and really dizzy at 13+3. Funnily enough I have felt it seem significantly better today and I have 14 weeks tomorrow. Bad nausea yesterday but only a very little today. Maybe it's finally going! X
Goat: So happy to hear things are going well. I'm having some extra monitoring too and it is a lot of appointments but so reassuring.
I hope everyone is feeling better. Sounds like it's been a rough few days.
Hubby and I had our Perinatology appt. yesterday. (I have an autoimmune disorder so am high risk) The specialist said she thinks everything looks good and I am cleared for a vaginal birth!!! We also got to have a look at the baby which was fabulous. Baby was kicking a lot and even grasping with its hands. She took a photo for us of baby giving a thumbs up. Next appointment is next week with my new OB/GYN. Pernatology doc doesn't seem to like him much so we may ask to see a midwife instead.
Goat - really pleased to hear that they will closely monitor you hopefully that will give you the reassurance (I too didn't know what the vbac meant so that's for clarifying!)
Rose - glad you are feeling better, I'm 15 weeks tomorrow & this last week has far been my best - hopefully past 15 weeks it will get even better for us!!
I will be catching up on one born tomorrow night when I have time to sit down & watch some tv (& not fall asleep lol) I'm always so behind when it comes to catching up on tv programmes I love!
Glad your appointment went well Newmom, so good you get these appointments!!
I have a body preg pillow that I got from amazon but I wouldn't recommend that one as I never quite figured it out. I now use it when I make my bed and put it behind the pillows to make them look nice and plump. So after that long story, I too would like a good recommendation.
I'm 17 weeks today! Yay! Back at work on Monday which I don't mind as I'll be now working 3 days a week from home.
Morning everyone. Feeling pretty good this morning. Glad the weekend is in sight though! Looks like it's going to be another beautiful day although it's hard going in the heat with the uniform I have to wear.
I'm going to pick up a cot bedding set tonight. It's 2nd hand but immaculate condition. A mothercare set with quilt, blanket, curtains, bumpers, lamp shade, cot mobile and a play mat all for £50. I thought that was pretty good and I'll just have to buy sheets and extra blankets which I will be getting anyway.
Morning all - I'm feeling pretty good too. Just tired, so decided to take tomorrow off as annual leave. Although how much resting I'll do though as my house is a tip at the moment!
Jai - when we worked out child care costs it actually worked out we would have more money working 30 hours a week instead of full time as it would be one extra day less on child care. Really do some sums as we were quite surprised by that. Our mortgage is due for renewal in October (good timing) so we are going to try and bring that monthly cost down quite a bit otherwise we wouldn't be able to manage. It really surprises me how all the money goes each month as we both earn decent money. Some serious cut backs will need to be made and it's certainly going to be a shock! Try and find out if your employer offers child care vouchers towards child care as mine does.
Hey ladies hope your all well. I'm feeling very well at the moment, just plodding along, only 5 days til we find out if we are team pink or blue!
Just want to share my proud mummy moment that my little man stood on his own today completely unaided! Soo cute & so proud. Can't believe it's only 2 weeks til he's 1! This past year has been like a whirlwind x
