That sucks Skeando :(

Well, you've still got a few days i suppose. Are you feeling menstrual at all? xx

Feeling a wee bit crampy, but nothing major. Just have to wait I guess.

Hey JJ,
that does really suck.... massive massive anti-climax.... I'm really sorry that you were robbed of the hope at least... I hope you're ok xxx you've got difficult decisions ahead hun... hope you get some clarity and feel right about whichever path you choose to take x x

Thanks Rea , wow 10 weeks already! amazing.....have you got your scan date through yet, make sure you post piccys in tri one when you have it, and I'll pop in to see X

Skeando - Wishing your AF to arrive for you, maybee your lining will be thin enougth without a bleed, I've heard of that happening on here too.

Thinking about the major tubal resection op again today, slightly cheeper than ivf by couple hundred pounds and no guarentee, but still higher sucess rate, found a good place in nottingham that I'd not seen before , they seem to specialse, still umming, as means an C-section op to do it... my tum has has a right bashing already.. and would still need one more op, and being preg so soon after op could cause rupture issues, not so safe a way as ivf, but cost would end there, but with endless chances to fall preg etc, even if mc would happen.... my brain hurts ha ha

Have you got a link JJ?

I feel fairly confident that if someone said to us that an op had a decent chance to fix hubby completely for the same cost as IVF and we could go back to ttc naturally - that we'd give that a go.

At your age IVF has limited success rates with the national average being 9.84% live births per cycle over 37 and i'm thinking that if you could avoid it altogether and carry on ttc that you could pop out another 5 if you wanted :)

Thanks Lou, yes my thoughts exactly, but not for the pop out 5 more bit, I only want one more baby for my son to grow up with.... my body can only really take one more C-section, the last one, he had a job to get me to stop bleeding after stitching my uterus up and popped a patch in there. The op is full c-section layers to get to tubes you see, not sure if risks are too steep, Husbands worried about it, he said what if you died at birth of a baby or it ruptured before birth, (one op too many- it would be equivalent of 6 C-sections then). and he said you would leave me with all these children on my own... made me think...:eh:

Anyway - I had been working on hubby to agree to take man vitamins if this FET was not sucessful, and so here we are, I brought them today, wellman conception. I will have to give it to him every day to take, he decided they were like horse pills, but he took them, He's a sweetie as he hates all that namby pamby vitamin stuff.... so first one taken, his and hers... for whatever is in store in the next few months...

I didn't think you'd actually go for five ;) I just meant that you are clearly good in the natural ttc department with you already having a healthy sized brood :)

I don't really know the ins and outs of c-sections and things, but i suppose it is one of those situations that forces you to take stock of what you have and weigh up the risks.

It sounds pretty dangerous the way that you desribe it but i don't know the stats.

I have my hubby on Zita West everything and when we went to see the consultant in London he didn't seem very impressed at all and simply asked if hubby is on 1000mg of Vit C each day.

I assumed he was with being on so many tablets, but when i checked he was only on about half of that  So now he's got extra Vit C added to his list.

The consultant seemed to think that Vit C >>>>>> everything else.

We got a huge tub of pills for £8 :)

Blimey Lou, your hubby will be rattling soon with all those pills... he won't know what to do with himself when he can stop, when you get your lovely bfp on this next cycle

Thanks Jen :)

Actually hubby get the easy bit as per. He's on 7 tablets a day and I'm on 9

It's funny him getting the hormone injections though  He's on 150iu menopur every three days and he's a diabetic so injects all the time anyway so I got zero sympathy from him but every time he takes one he whinges about how much it stings afterwards like he expects a medal.

He keeps saying "I'm feeling hormonal today"rofl :rotfl:

Pffffft

Still no AF, called hosp and they said they don't know what to do with me. The first appt they have for a new cycle scan (to establish if you are downregged enough to start stimming injections) is Tuesday 6th November.

So she is going to phone me back tomorrow to confirm what is act going to happen when she has spoken to someone else about it.

Don't know if they are going to just keep me sniffing until then. Not sure I like the idea of down regging for 2months before anything happens, doesn't seem like a good idea. But if I don't keep going then it puts everything back even further.

Why can't things just go simply for once!

Can't they just cause a bleed? You know, stick you on something like norethisterone for 10 days and then you'd bleed from the withdrawal?

You sniffing shouldn't impact that really.

Sorry AF still not arrived skeando - how frustrating. Hope she arrives soon you must be going mad xxx

I don't think they're that fussed about me having a period straight away as they don't want to start a new iui cycle until the 6th november, so I have 3 weeks to have a bleed really.

It's just frustrating (

The only bonus is if nothing is happening I have ten days off work starting on sat and hubby is going to take me away for a week in the sun somewhere

skeando - there is one other positive to your iui being delayed til 6th nov...we might get to be cycle buddies :yay: small comfort I know but would be good to go through it together xxx

yay to a week in the sun too- well jel :) xxx

Oh gawd i could so use a sunny holiday, i hope you have a lovely time.

Nothing brings on AF like a bikini ;)

Except maybe white trousers...

A white bikini?
