Not long to find out now sugar. When are you going to test or will you be waiting it out?

I've already started! using cheapies from now until Monday though. And if no luck on Monday I'll use my last FRER on Wednesday next week. I will be 12dpo then.

When did AF arrive for everyone? I'm 1 day late today judging on being 15DPO give or take a day or two (I got a + opk 15 days ago).

Is it common for AF to be late on clomid? My average cycle length when I've ovulated on my own is around 32 days. I thought it would be much more regular on clomid!

Depends which cd you ovulated, mine was different on most of my clomid cycles but my LP is usually 14/15 days, so af would arrive that much after ov day. I had regular cycles on clomid but not exactly the same length at all, mine were 31, 32, 31, 32, 37, 32 days. Compared with my last few 'natural' cycles, which were 40, 93, 23, 29, 27, 26, 36, 81. Don't know if that answers your question or if it just shows my body doesn't work properly!

I'm going off of a LP of 14/15 but that's guess work. I usually spot well before AF and the only month I didn't was when I had a chemical. It's all guess work really isn't it?

Not spotting is a great sign, even if you aren't pg clomid must be helping your body to work properly and that can only be a good thing!

I had a 26 day cycle with ovulating on day 12 I think. I was amazed when my period came - I haven't had one without progesterone inducing it for ages! It's been really short though so I'm a bit worried that my lining is thin

Have you tested Sugarpop? Also did you get progesterone bloods to confirm O?

Hi ladies OH and I have been discussing clomid. TTC officially 5 cycles, NTNP for over two years. My cycles have been getting longer with every passing month, not oving until CD20-24 when I used to ov CD14-16. My question is if clomid would be a good option for us to try.. We really can't afford a fertility doctor so I'm looking for some input from those of you who have already tried it and if there's been success

I think with any ovulation related problem clomid could be worth a try, but I advise caution and I would advise against getting clomid unmonitored. As you say you can't afford a fertility doctor are you not in the UK? I'm wondering why you aren't going to your GP to get a referral to a fertility clinic (you need to have been ttc for one year usually if you are under 35, 6 months if over 35 but you have been ntnp for longer and you have noticed a problem with your cycles and so this should enable you to be seen) as they will run suitable tests and if they decide clomid could work they should monitor you. I just also want to say that oving days 20-24 is within the normal range. On clomid I ovulated between days 17-24.

You can get a private prescription of clomid, but you will also need private follicle tracking scans and private blood tests, which obviously has a cost to it.

I'm in the US and I'm a veteran, Healthcare for vets is terrible. Even if I do see my GP there's no fertility doctors in the VA system for me to see. I know they can do fertility testing but I think it's just blood work. We found a place online to order clomid and we're thinking to try for 3 months, 50mg for me and 25mg for him (this is what we've read we're supposed to take). It's a possible reward outweighs the risk situation to us. I'm CD24 now and we haven't got a positive opk, even FF has dropped its predicted ov day. We're getting desperate and don't understand why we're having problems at our age (I'm 31, OH will be 36 in November). Thank you for your input snowbee, you've always been helpful.

I see. I would really recommend getting the follicle tracking scans, I think taking clomid without it you don't really know where you stand, if it has worked or if it has over stimulated you. Paying out for tracking on the first cycle will put your mind at rest that you are on the correct dose, carrying on without could be pointless if it isn't doing anything for you. I have no idea how expenses compare but my local private scan place does whole cycle tracking scans for £180, which isn't too bad as you get as many scan as you need.

It would be very rare to see a man take clomid in the UK, it isn't something that is usually recommended at all. Has he had a sperm analysis? Again I think doing that first would be an idea as there isn't any point in wasting money on drugs for you if his swimmers are duff.

Lots of ladies start on a dose of 50mg clomid. Some will ovulate on this, others won't and will need a higher dose (and may still not ovulate even with max dose) and others will over stimulate on it. I know Phonixgirl only needed 12.5mg to ovulate and she had painful side effects from the 50mg. I did 6 rounds at 100 and one at 125. I don't think there is any way to predict how your body will react, hence the scans being important.

I would definitely recommend follicle tracking scans for the first round. I had to pay privately for mine but it was worth the peace of mind.

I think giving a man clomid would likely hinder your chances. Clomid is specifically there to induce ovulation. Men can't ovulate so giving a man clomid would do any number of things to his hormones. I'm not sure where you have been reading but I would really recommend some further research.

I don't think I would trust that. There must be a reason why doctors don't prescribe clomid to males more commonly.

I don't know, with a simple Google search of "clomid sperm" we've found multiple case studies on clomid for sperm production

I'm just now ovulating this cycle (CD27) so we'll dtd as usual and maybe not have to go down the clomid road at all, I just wanted to get some insight from ladies who have used clomid. Not really trying to debate the male use of it just read it works for us both. And OH is willing to give anything a try for us to be successful. From what we've read it can't hurt him.

I do understand taking clomid blind is potentially overkill for me, from what you ladies have said, but it's still a "risk" we're willing to take if it comes to that.

Hiya What dose are you starting on? I found taking mine in the evenings made the side effects less. Do you have tracking scans this cycle?

I also found taking it just before bed was better for avoiding side effects.

I have headaches, hot flushes in day and nausea in night!
Only 3 more days...

Did you girls ovulate earlier with clomid ?
