Wow, this charting stuff is soo complicated! I assumed that because I had a period every month, that I would have ovulated every month? Is that not so? Can you still have af without ovulating?

I read somewhere a thred about this, i always thought you had to ov to get af but then somewhere it said they got af without oving? - hmmmmmm confusing indeed!

Yes you can, actually. It's called anovulatory bleeding, and it's when your body basically 'gives up' trying to ovulate in a cycle and presses the reset button. Annoying, yes, but it happens.

In most women it only happens occasionally, but some women get it more frequently than others, like people who have pcos or pco, people who have very stressful jobs, women who are over or underweight, people who travel a lot, stuff like that.

Just a quick question, FF has changed my red lines from a solid line to a broken, dotted line. What does this mean ???

That means that it's not sure if that's when you ovulated, so it's giving you its best guess.

maybe cause you;'re still getting wet cm way after potential ov?

hi wanting 1!!
according to ff u are already late(quite a few days late!! ). the red square on ur chart is the day it would have expected af if u did ovulate when it thinks u did. it has based this on ur previous cycle(s). it gives u a date for testing which is a week after af is due to be extra sure u will get an accurate result but if its ov date is correct u should get an accurate result now so my advice TEST!! my sensible side though would say test in the morning with first morning urine if ur temp is still high. even so i will still suggest u TEST TEST TEST TEST!!!

AF cramps have eased but breasts are still very sore and have terrible spots. However, I still think I might not have ovulated and thus AF being delayed but than what were those AF symptons? Also my temperature was down when AF symptons started... I know that only a test will tell...

AF cramps have eased but breasts are still very sore and have terrible spots. However, I still think I might not have ovulated and thus AF being delayed but than what were those AF symptons? Also my temperature was down when AF symptons started... I know that only a test will tell...

If your boobs are sore and you have spots, that's caused by progesterone in your system, and progesterone = you ovulated. I think you should give it a couple days before you test, tho, to spare you the disappointment in case of bfn. Got my FX for ya, hon!!

Temperatures are down and took a preg test this morning: neg. I am gutted as I thought with my symptoms, I would get at least a faint line by now but nothing I must be imagining things.

wanting1- soo sorry for u hun but its not over yet as ur chart doesn't show an obvious day for ovulation it may just be u are too early.

well.... my temp was up today but i shared a bottle of sparkly with dh last night so putting it down to that as i have been getting neg opks every day. does anyone know how much alcohol raises ur temp by- think its quite a bit. i don't normally drink either so it prob makes a big difference to my temps. 99% sure i havn't ovulated so don't agree with ff red lines bless it, its just trying to make my crazy chart look a bit prettier me thinks!!
off for a reflexology now to try and kick start something into happening but i'll be back for a stalk later!

Puds - I know alcohol is meant to raise your temps but from what I can remember from last time it never did for me!! I used to put it on my chart anyway but it never really made any difference.

hi to everyone else..... not got time to have a proper stalk cuz I'm being a good little wife and baking vienese fingers for my DH's valentines gift (we decided not to buy anything this year with having poppy now). Hopefully I'll have a good stalk later today if I get chance.

This part of a cycle is soooooo boring. No where near OV or anything.....roll on the next two weeks so I can start getting excited again!

Well my temp seems to be staying higher than normal, does that suggest FF is right and that i've ov'd?

hi bb! thought i'd give u a quick reply b4 i commence stalking as i just noticed u were here!!
congrats hun i would say u have most deffinately ovulated!! u will prob see ur temp will go even higher in the next few days. if ffcdates are correct u should be 6dpo now. only 5 or so days till testing!!! wahoo!!!!!
