*-*-*-*August Mummies!*-*-*-*

Bkr had hers, wasn't an easy one. Ruth is in an epic 3 day labour and Amanda hasn't posted but had hers on Tuesday night, 3 hour labour so I had no chance to do a thread! Haha! Hoping she'll post on the forum herself to let everyone know.

I had a false alarm last night with quite intense pain for an hour which gradually got further apart and less and less. Was up.3 hours but finally fell back asleep. So feeling more positive it will happen now, as, had nothing since 37 weeks otherwise! Got my study finished yesterday so body and mind both ready now!!

Hope you're doing well Lydia xxxx

I've heard your body can kind of 'wait' when it feels you're not ready yet. So you never knew. False alarm might not be false alarm after all! Keeping my fingers crossed for you today. Are you feeling okay?

Xxx

I feel amazing! Like on a high. Loved my walk and my music gave me goosebumps. Feel excited for labour and so happy about everything. Yaaaay! :-)

Yay congratulations BKR and Amanda! Great to hear most August babies are here by now. Happily not long to go for Ruth either.

Come one Umbongo! xx

Hope your doing well Lydia xx

I'm finally feeling a little better now, thank you!
How are you doing? How's everything going with your little boy? Is he growing well? xx

That all sounds very promising! You'll soon know if you're going to have a little boy or girl :) It really was the biggest surprise ever.
Are you okay with walking now? Not too much pain anymore? xx

my spd plays up a bit but i can live with it as I know it's not long til it goes. want to try and stay as active as possible as I don't think sitting around will speed things up! :-)

Thats good Lydia, how are u finding motherhood? I felt better 3 days after birth. Then yesterday I think the last few weeks got on top of me and I felt terrible! OH had to take the day off work in order to help with JJ.
He is doing good though thank you. Not being weighed again until 6 weeks but he must be heavy as he eats alot! X

Aw poor you! Some days can just feel too much! Nice to have your OH around when you're feeling so poorly. Are you feeling a bit better now?
I'm really enjoying being a mum but it's also quite difficult. I'm awake since 3 am this morning and completely knackered. She just constantly wants to drink and cries when she's not drinking. So they are really sore and sitting also hurts. Ow well, in a few weeks time we will be used to it.
Can't imagine my life without her anymore. She's so amazing!

Glad to hear JJ is doing so well! Didn't they weight him with 10 days? Are you breastfeeding as well? xx

That must be painful walking a lot with spd! Fingers crossed all the walking helps! Constantly stalking this forum to see if all August mummies have had their babies. Come on Umbongo, waiting for you know!! xx

Well that's it. I'm overdue. And as we've not heard from purplebeauty it looks like im the only one who is. What a F-ing crock.

Im much better thank you Lydia. Sorry to hear u have been up for so long :-( a fee of the other August mummies said about constant feeding and screaming when not being nursed. U should take a look at the thread ;)

JJ was weighed at 5 days and instead of losing weight, he had put on 2oz and weighed 7lb7 then at day 10 he weighed 7lb10. :-)

Im not breastfeeding. Only did it for two days and was sick of being told that in the first two days that I can't give him a bottle aswell!
Xx

Nope. I'm going to be well overdue. On my f-ing own. Everyone else seems to be early on this forum lately. Will miss the wedding. And I keep getting back ache and sciatica. Just can't wait for 3 more weeks of this!! Fx sweep next Fri gets me going. Will have to clean the house this week. Sitting around thinking isn't good!!!
Sorry to be a misery but it's all a bit annoying!! Xx

Aw umbongo :-( big hugs. And labour vibes. At least your lo will be the oldest in the year rather than the youngest.

:-( sorry you feeling crap. Such a shame you missing the wedding too. Will be all worth it tho.

I hated being late, each day gets more frustrating.

Hope it won't be long for you now. Hope you enjoyed your weekend with DH. X

Thanks paddles. I definitely had no idea what it would feel like. Am going to try and feel more positive. Felt for my cervix and think I could feel head (through skin obv), I think sciatica is due to head being a little more engaged, maybe 4/5 so will take that as a positive. I'm sure Friday's sweep will tip me into labour. Aiming for next weekend now. Anything before is a bonus.
According to my cycle, if it was 35 days as it used to be before the pill, it would mean not due til Tuesday anyway, so I'm not really late as they only measured once at 12 week scan so I never believed that date anyway! :-)
Xx

Ohh my sciatica got bad 2 days before giving birth! Anyways let's stop symptom spotting. You sound more positive and the sweep is something to look forward too. ;-) strange how we can't wait for a stranger to stick fingers in us! Xx
