I am starting to accept the fact I'll go over now. Because I have to get back to work by a certain date and having a wedding to go to etc, I could really do with not going over but that means I probably will!

We had a bit of rain and the odd rumble of thunder but it is still so hot and muggy here, it is horrible, I've really had enough of being hot and clammy now!

I had a check up this morning, they reckon baby is still fully and everything is as it should be. I just wish they could give you a more accurate idea of when the baby would come!

today is quite muggy but still no blastin sunshine and the odd showers so im in my element! lol

mummy2b19 you have a child to look after, therefore you are allowed to be disorganised! lol

lydia i think the weather seems to be on a downward spiral and im grinnin from ear to ear about it! haha

as for signs of labour girls, last night was the second night iv had reaalllyy bad cramps and it was at the same time again 3am. they keep me awake they are that bad its not so much as to say painful, just strong dull aches that stop ya in ya tracks anyone else having these??

and iv heard that on your 40 week app (if we get that far) lol if you have a sweep your mw can usually tell when about labour might begin , due to being able to feel the head or how many cm you are. but this is again just an estimate

oh and did the thunder wake anyones bump up? lol lil man was woken up by it and kicked me abit lol xx

At least they said the head was engaged, it's got to be a good thing!

I had a few days of quite strong cramps and that sharp stabbing pain in my cervix but nothing today. It is quite disappointing!

it is a pain in the ass when these cramps come and go! every time i have one i want them to get worse or carry on lol i want my baby!! haha

also this sweep thing is really doing my head in now! just noticed a girl on the july mummies posted about it yesterday on the third tri threads and said her mw told her she could have a sweep on her actual due date up the hospital if she wanted to, save waiting 3 days over when she would see her again. i asked my mw today and she offered me no such thing!! just told me she would do me a sweep if i wanted one on my 40 week app did your mw say anythin about this?? my mw is shit tho to be quite honest and wouldnt of even told me what was goin to be happenin on my next app if i hadnt of asked xx

No she hasn't mentioned it, apart from to say they do it over 40 weeks and you can have up to three.

She just said baby will come when it's ready

Hi girls, just to give u an update from my appointment. Baby is still breech, no surprise there lol. So im now booked in for c sec on the 12th August! Decided against manually turning as the odds of it working were pretty crap compared to potential risks & discomfort. My baby is farrrr to happy & comfy were it is, so didnt want to distress it by forcing it into a position it doesnt want to be in. Feels abit strange, unless i go early ive potentially got my babys birthday date...ekkk!! x

aww no i totally dont blame you for having a c sec though i would do the same i think , wouldnt like the thought of some one turnin lil man even if they said it was safe.and this way at least you have defo got a birth date!! no ifs or buts wish i had ! haha and theres still time for baby to turn surely have they said or not? cuz on your next app at 38 week baby might of shifted?? does that mean you dont have to have the c sec? x

I think it is a good decision

It must be quite nice to have a date, I wish I knew by when my baby would be here!

Hey all

Charlotte - we've still had NO RAIN aaarrggg!! the rain that was supposed to come skipped us we has a tiny few drops about 3pm but that was it. I've even hung out the washing in hope of getting it to rain. I loathe thunder and hubby is away tonight but I still want the storms!

Hereshoping, sorry to head baby is still breech. in my MW class they were talking about a lady local to us who has more success (This is actually true the hosp know this as she is also employed by the hosp as a MW) then doing the ECV - she does it by some sort of reflexology/traditional medicine. I'll try and find out a bit more about it and maybe you can also find a local practitioner?

Oh and I was also going to say I've been told we don't get a sweep untill we are 41 weeks, so the earliest I can have one is 41+2

I asked same but she said theres a "slim chance" it will turn itself now as it will be getting bigger & its my first preg. Also think their not hopeful as this little mite has always been breech, theres never been any big movements from it...lazy bum! ive to go back next week for another scan to check fluid levels & then thatl be me until i go in for c sec! if baby turns in mean time they will leave me to it but if go earlier it will be straight c sec, no hanging about or bouncing on balls for me lol. Think ive got my head around it now, got used to the idea, just shows u cant plan these things, the babys the one in control. I could of laboured normally to end up with a section any way, u never know x

omg all areas are so bloody different arent they!! would not be impressed with that! il pull my face if the hospital doesnt do them on ya due date and i have to wait 2 days! haha impatient.com

Was fuming this afternoon. Its days like these i wish i still had my car rather than the flippin bus! The bus was 30 minutes late and i had to literally run to the midwife when i got off of it! And i was still late! She did see me though

All is good. She was very shocked at how much babys head moved down since last time. He is 2/5th engaged now. So i'm happy that he in the right position. Next app is 6th August which she thought was a bit long away, but she said if i have problems during next week then to just give her a text and she will happily squeeze me in somewhere xx

She told me a birth plan is not important at all and it is much easier to go with the flow when you get there. She has noted that id like the birthing pool though.

Haha how weird! Same day apps and also Scott just pumped my ball up! Cant use it for a while, as get my make up trialled soon for mums wedding and i need to go eat my dinner. But i have tomoro lol xx

I don't like the idea of a sweep. Sounds painful. The doc at my consultant appt said that they are more successful when you've already had a baby. So I may consider one at 41+3!

It's my last day at work tomorrow!! I finish at 12.30. I'm really sad though. Oh well.

just had a good bounce! lol will be watchin me soaps every night on that i think its really comfy! baby hasnt moved an inch tho lol

giz, i heard it wasnt pleasant but then heard different stories off different women about htme and if ya notice more women are coming out and sayin things started happenin a few days after their sweeps so abit of pain for the chance of labour sounds good to me lol yay last day! xx

oh and have you ladies got two moses baskets or? gaz has just come home with another one and another stand to stay upstairs. our lovely nice one is stayin downstairs cuz thats the one people will see haha reason iv had to get two cuz i didnt realise , when im carrying baby downstairs in the middle of the night in his crying fits, where am i gonna put him one settled downstairs!?? lol didnt think about this at all until yesterday! lol xx

Kelly, great news that he's now engaged!

I agree about expect to go over. When people ask me how much longer left I feel quite uncomfortable saying 3 weeks, so I always say supposed to be 3 weeks but probably 4 or 5 lol. I'm convinced ill have a very late baby.

Giz, hope you have a lovely last day tomorro!

It is sad leaving work. I can't switch off and I finished on the 12th...went in for a day last week and I might sneak in and do the same this week! I keep dreaming about work!
