I think you can only know what it means to have a baby once baby is here. Can't wait to talk to you all when our babies are here. Would be so great to share experiences! xxx

Hopefully soon. He is probably too squished up to move lol.
I know! It will be great. And its lovely talking to people through all the stages of pregnancy. :-)
I will love swapping advice too. I just don't like when ppl try to force their opinions upon you because 'their way is the right way' lol. Thats why I love it here atm.. most ppl give more than onr view on things xx

Everyone just has to do whatever feels good. I really don't like to judge how people do it. I'm talking to people about how to do things but everyone has different advice. It will probably all feel naturally and go well. xx

Yes this forum is very useful! You can find a lot of information online when you have questions but it's so great to get advice from ladies who are pregnant as well.
My OH really likes to read some posts, is your boyfriend reading on here as well? xxx

I like the forum. Don't think OH was ever bothered about me using it. He said today.. 'have you made friends?' Lol. I laughed and said its not really a place where you make friends but we all chat and know we are talking to the same people who won't judge us etc.

I've had advice on my doppler, mw apps, scans, gtt etc and I much prefer here to google! :p

I agree Lydia, when little ones arrive we will all naturally know what to do and whats best for our bundles. Xx

Ditto. I like to say to OH things like "awww somebody has a labour thread!" and "this person said they did this and it worked" and that sort of stuff xx

Hey ladies, just wanted to pop my head in & say hi, been abit quiet recently.

How are yous all feeling? I am knackered!! Plus i can fully sympathise with what yous have said, i thought my bubs was getting quieter too but i think its just cos its got less room now. Still get some at night which is the usual pattern so not worrying yet.
And i agree Kelly, i think theres alot of pressure on mums to be "bonding" with baby in preg, doesnt mean we love them any less. I think its difficult cos you cant imagine what they look like or even what sex it is in my case! I think once they are here & u see their little face for first time ul just fall in love...cant wait!!

Touchy subject but have yous ladies gained alot of weight since preggers? I dont own scales but weighed self recently at mates & think ive around 11lb - stone on :-\ Mw hasnt weighed me since 12wks so curious to know, what is a healthy weight gain?? Trust me to bum yous all out with a touchy subject like that lol xx

I put on around 2 stone. Quite shocking but can only blame myself for eating way too much.

A healthy weight gain all depends on your BMI before getting pregnant:

If your pre-pregnancy weight was in the healthy range for your height (a BMI of 18.5 to 24.9), you should gain between 25 and 35 pounds, gaining 1 to 5 pounds in the first trimester and about 1 pound per week for the rest of your pregnancy for the optimal growth of your baby.

There are a lot of online calculators you can use, for example this one: http://www.babycenter.com/pregnancy-weight-gain-estimator

Hopefully we will loose all the weight again when baby is here!

Thanks for that link mrs! Had a look & now im worried ive not gained enough weight :( ive only gained 11lb since 12wks which doesnt seem enough! Just hope those scales were weighing light x

I just weighed myself I was 10 6 before baby im now 12 3 so nearly 2 stone so im allowed 25-35 pounds so im already at 24 pounds. Im all bump though and only my back has got big.im far from worrying I eat healthy and eat well.never miss a meal..x

There is no reason to worry if you only gained 11lb since 12 weeks. Every body and every pregnancy is different. A lot of people first loose a lot of weight when becoming pregnant so don't gain any weight at all compared to their weight before pregnancy. I can give some of my weight if you want. ;) xx

Hello! :-)
Hope you are well other than being knackered. Ive been okay thanks. On an all time low today though.
I also can not wait. Been discussing with OH how odd it is that we don't know what he looks like and I think your right that helps with bonding.

As for weight.. most midwifes tell you not to worry or don't weigh you again anyway after booking in app. I will check mine in a little while. But as said in a few posts above, some people lose a lot at first but others just gain weight throughout. Xx

GTT results were fine. One less thing to think about now. Woop. I hope not many August ladies have to go for one. xx

Tnx girls. Im maybe panicing over nothing, just over worrying. I felt i was putting enough weight on & ive a definate bump but 11lb doesnt seem alot for this stage, esp compared to rest of u mummys :( I had no morning sickness so didnt lose weight at start. Got my next appointment next week so will ask then xx

Just weighed myself, i've put on 15lb so there is not a lot of difference there. I don't think there is any worry but obviously no harm in asking :) xx
