*-*-*-*August Mummies!*-*-*-*

Hi ladies. Hopes its me next Lydia but no signs. :-( third day overdue now. Sweep on Sunday. Midwife won't check my cervix/sweep until after due date. Tis different everywhere tho.

Happy due date Positive. You will probably beat me too it!! ;-) xx

Fingers crossed you'll be next! A lot of people don't have any signs and it suddenly starts so let's hope it will! xx

Although I'm wishing it is, I doubt it will be!
Had the worst nights sleep, waking up every half hour with period pains. ALL GONE AGAIN THOUGH!! Dammit!!
Never mind, going to get bouncing today!!

Good luck with your midwife appt, fingers crossed you get some sweep dates Etc!

Sorry to hear you had such a bad night sleep! It sounds like your body is preparing itself though, fingers crossed!

I don't think I'll discuss sweet dates etc today. My midwife is 2 weeks on holiday now so I'll have another midwife this week and probably another one again the week after. Let's hope things start before having to discuss it ;) xx

Well.I ditched aquatums as fell back to sleep and couldn't rush to get ready as,I felt sick. Almost like morning sickness again!! So going to a session tomorrow night. MUST study today.
Good luck with sweep positive and come on paddles, you're up next!! ;-)

That's frustrating Lau, maybe next time it'll be the real thing. Fx

Nearly our turn Lydia! Xx

Ow no must be horrible to have the morning sickness feeling again! Hopefully it will go away soon.
So good of you to study so often! I'm so behind but just can't focus on studying right now especially now my OH is 2 weeks off.

Yay not long to go for us. Time for the 2nd part of August :) xx

I am not getting on very well with the study! Got a big assignment due in and I need to get it done before squiggle arrives, I'l never get it done after! I am able to get a distinction if I do well but I just can't see it happening!!

I am struggling to keep up ladies and all i can do is apologize. I'd love to be able to still chat with you all regularly. Once babies have arrived i hope we can chat over on mummy and baby side still :)

Went out for our first walk today. It was so much hard work. Getting baby ready in pram for starters - we got up at 9 with him today and didn't leave until 11. Then walked half hour to the shopping centre which we both work in! It was a nightmare.. so many people stopping us. Then we visited my dad. And tried to help him sort his laptop out which was tiring. All this time all id had all day was sip of water and a cuppa at dads. And then at my dads my breast pad overfilled and went through my bra and both my tops! I felt horrible. Came home and then realised my phone was left at my dads and i could cry! :(

:( :( xxx

Hey Kelly. I remember those days. It would literally take us hours to get out of the house and was so exhausting. It WILL get easier. Just enjoy the family time at home. And make sure you eat. Very important. You don't want to become ill with a newborn.

And umbongo....I see the assignment writing is coming along nicely going by your recent thread!! Haha!!

It is just too easy to forget to eat. I know that going out will seem simple. It was just this first time going out that was a pain. Off to the childrens centre tomorrow for his heel prick and weight etc. Then another few days at home for sure :-) x

He has a habit of holding his own bottle. And this time was ace as he managed to rest it completely in place. If only he always did that! Lol

Just a way to labour. A way to help you reeeeeeelax and stay calm and believe in your body and your baby and have a natural birth.
It's very relaxing anyhow so it's all good xxx

Hi ladies. Just to let you know I had my baby girl yesterday :-)

She was 11 days early (REALLY sorry to all of you who are overdue!). Waters went at 4.15am (which I meant to post on this thread but somehow managed to hijack Giz's labour thread instead - sorry Giz!!) and she was born at 2.23pm. I'll do my labour story when I've got a bit more time (and energy!). We have called her Caitlin Erica and she weighed 6lb 7oz.

I had to have an episiotomy so I'm a bit sore but giving birth is easily the single most amazing thing I've ever done - not that I thought so at the time!!

Hope you ladies are all doing okay xx

Oooh Nomad I wondered what happened to you!!! Congratulations hun! Wonderful news!!! So pleased for you xxxx
