***August 2018 Testing Thread***

I think I ovulated on Sunday and now (wednesday and Thursday) I have sore nipples. Is this just part of ovulation? I never really took any notice prior to ttc but now I look into everything haha

Just popping in to say hi to everyone. Depending how this cycle goes, when AF turns up and if I actually have to willpower to wait for 2 cycles (I am not sure I do, I am very impatient) I may well be testing right at the end of August or in September. I will still be stalking this thread though and sending lots of baby dust your way ladies. Fx for you all xx

Hey Jellybean

That would just be a normal part of post O. 3-4dpo might (depending on the woman) be too early for implantation so I wouldn't get too excited just yet about tender nipples. I'd say that anything after 10dpo should be a safe enough zone to accept that implantation might have occurred and that you are experiencing early pregnancy symptoms!

Yay KatD! I think you’ve got the timing pretty good there, I’ve been reading more and more which says that the day before ovulation is a good as the day of, and the day after there is pretty much zero chance, I’ll try and post the link later to what I read yesterday which was from a reliable medical journal, saying it can take the sperm anything from 3 to 8 hours to get to the tubes where the egg will be, and then it has to go through the process of capacitation before it is able to fertilise the egg which takes around 8 hours - fresh sperm cannot fertilise an egg!!

Feeling ok today, I’m 3DPO and have just had pineapple for breakfast feeling sooooo hungry though just want to eat everything in sight, but want delicious things like cakes lol, but this is pretty typical for me in the luteal phase, it’s a diet ruiner for sure!

I'm feeling a lot less emotional today (thank the Lord!!) which is such a relief because I couldn't much stand all the crying anymore. I don't normally get like this but there are some cycles where I'm hormonal as F.

You should get some PH balance tablets V, take two every night before bed. Or bicarbonate soda, that works like a charm.

I can totally relate with you night owl heheh I have such a weakness for sweet things - DH made a remark last night about how I need to get back into the gym. He was THIS close to being clobbered but sadly, it was the truth. My wobbly bits have wobbly bits.

Hi ladies!!

Hope you're all well! Me and my partner have just begun trying for baby number 3! I'm due to be ovulating on August 3rd and testing on August 18th! We have 2 girls so are desperate for a little boy! Anyone believe the myths on conceiving a boy? Only one I really believe is the having intercourse close to ovulation date becuase the Y sperm are faster but die quicker...

I really need to get a grip on all these abbreviations! I only know TTC so far

Took this month off monitoring ovulation due to my cp last month and also it’s been so hot we’ve not dtd that much! Put me down for the 10th, I have irregular cycles but that will be cd35 so I’ll start testing weekly from then if no af.
