August 2017 babies!

Morning ladies!

H4R I'm sorry about your loss, you still have a nice gap.

Baby clothes, it depends on weather. With my June and August babies, they were in short sleeve or sleeveless vests for the first little while because it was so hot. As the weather cooled they had a short sleeve vest and sleep suit/baby grow inside, and then a jumper and blanket for outside. I would avoid things like pramsuits cus baby can overheat in them so quickly.

Just remember to check their chest, tummy or mid back with the back of your hand, and if there's no temp difference between them and your hand then you're good. If they feel cold, add layers, if they feel warm, remove a layer :)

Lovely bump.

I'm glad it's not just me, I have been searching online for guidance about what to dress him in and it's so unclear. I'm hoping I'll just "know" when he comes and have been given so many clothes in sure I'll have it covered.

How is everyone doing? X
With athena, the midwifes were so helpful and told me what to put her in. With her being premature, i had her in a vest, socks, mittens baby grow hat and cardigan. I was like really?! Got a row when I didnt have her mittens on. I was planning in doing what I did last time and taking too much... No harm really.

I'm doing good! I just waited an hour for my midwife appointment, I haven't seen her since I was 7 weeks! She is so scattered it concerns me!! She did say I was still consultant lead even if my GTT is fine again. Very glad the high bp and preclampsia last time isn't being overlooked!

Hope everyone is doing good! Can't believe its only a few more weeks left of tri2

Ah that's a helpful tip thanks Kumber :)

Is tri 3 from 27 weeks? If so I only have 3 weeks left in tri2!

5 more weeks for me! I can't believe it's so close to tri 3 now for us. That's like we are really going to have babies x

That means I only have a trimester and a bit to get three rooms decorated! In the middle of painting my daughters after it has been fully replastered (Victorian house) and need to fully do my utility room which I gutted a few weeks ago before a new boiler was put in. Then I need to strip out what will be the 'boys bedroom', have it replastered and then get all that painted. Arghhhhh! I'm the DIYer of the house so when I was pregnant with my second I was laying a floor at 38 weeks pregnant and still climbing ladders at 36 - I got told off all the time lol x

Gosh it really is flying by now, and 24 weeks files like another milestone. My ovia app informs me that he is now viable! Yay! Though I would appreciate it if he stayed put and kept cooking for at least another 14 weeks

Ah I feel your pain, and I'm only decorating the nursery! We've stripped the wallpaper off and have given 2 of the walls 2 coats of paint (waiting for OH to finish off sanding the holes he filled in...). I did all of the painting on Sat, but I think I pulled a muscle in my bum or something cos the day after I was in agony and even now it still hurts if I sit or kneel funny :eh: I pretty much spent the day in bed on Monday cos I was so stiff still!

Before and after 2 coats! Will need another 1 I think :)

I'm so excited for you ladies, going into tri 3!

The room looks amazing MissCharli!

Thanks :) I'll be so glad when it's done! Feels like it's taking ages and I'm glad we started when we did!

I haven't even started thinking rooms etc. I really need to get my butt into gear!

Yeah I would, unless you want OH to end up doing it all  I think if I left it another month or so I would be too uncomfortable for decorating!

Haha oh no that doesn't sound ideal at all! Probably best to start a little earlier this time :P

My friend had one and loved it. I got given a rocking crib for free so I couldn't turn that down. I am just glad i didn't get rid of it. We were talking this morning about putting Athena in her new room but I still feel she could do with a bit more time in her room. She properly started walking this week so I thought giving her a bit more time before she goes in her new bed.

Good, easy to remember advice! Thanks Kumber :)

Nice to get people's experiences and opinions on underwired bras. I don't think I'd be measuring much bigger at the moment but they are probably beginning to be uncomfortable at points in an underwired. May find the time at the weekend to go and get fitted and try on some options. I'm not huge (only a B cup, sometimes a C!) so moulded cups are my preference. I think M&S looks like it has some nice choices so may pop in there.

Exciting to hear and see others starting on the nursery! We are only refreshing the decor in ours (used to be the study) as it's cream with a feature wall with trees on. We are adapting it to a woodland theme. Hubby has already painted it, skirting boards and all! So excited to buy all of little man's furniture and get his growing collection of clothes etc in there :)

Eeeek nearly tri 3 for some of you! Seems crazy doesn't it! Can't believe we're heading towards the end of April already! My anomaly scan is tomorrow afternoon; I'll be 21 weeks on Sunday. Is 27 weeks the end of tri 2?

Hope everyone has had a good week. xx
