August 2017 babies!

Started at 16, then last week had some big movements, but none recently.. :wall2:

It's only been a couple of weeks then for you sweetheart. It's my second baby and due to my anterior placenta, I didn't start feeling movements until about week 17, not daily or with any pattern whatsoever. Only in the last week or so (week 21-22) I can say I feel him daily /multiple times a day. xx

I'm getting slightly worried that I still haven't received a letter with my 20 week scan.. it says online they can't do the checks on baby if it gets past 20+6 :/ i havn't got a clue who to call, and my 16 week appointment is on the 6th..

Good luck with your scans today :) x

That is wierd PeanutButter. In my hospital you book 2nd scan in person when you come for 12 weeks scan. They tried to book me for 20 weeks exactly (I believe that's what they always try to do). But as I am away week 19 and 20, I am having my NHS scan at 21+4. I specifically asked the lady at the desk whether it's ok (my book also says you should have it before 20+6). And she told me it's fine till you are 23 weeks. But it's just my circumstances, you should have got the letter already!

Mine is the same - was really active around week 17 (DH even managed to feel movement with his hand ;-)) and not so active since.

The sonographer at my private scan told me that at the moment there is a lot of space for the baby, but she is just hiding in the corner curled up. Poor lady had a real trouble doing the measurements as our girl refused to show her spine full length and then hid her face.

I guess proper movements come when the baby grows in size and doesn't have that much space to move around anymore.

I tried lying on my back to get her to move, but all I got was this pulsating feeling, like my heartbeat was down in my pelvis! Idk what it is or why but says it's normal online...

Also why do people feel the need to touch your bump? I had my first rub yday and it was so fking awkward (my belly has popped out now)... my moms friend was like give us a rub.. why?! It's still my belly you can't feel or touch the baby :/ lmfao. My boobs have also got bigger, you wanna feel those to heh (I don't like being touched at all, I find hugs awkward, and don't even hub my own mum) x

Ah I get that weird pulsing feeling PB. I assumed it was something to do with the baby but it's too much like my hb surely to be him? Idk! I haven't had much else tbh.

Usually happens when I'm on my back or of I've done something physical. I did abit more googling and most people are saying it's either hiccups (seems to fast tho?) Or blood restriction. Idk I'm gonna ask my midwife when I see her though x

Glad scan went well mummytobe, you are my due date twin. Plus we are both still team yellow which is nice.

Congratulations Rachel on team blue. My little one was sitting breech too and i had to go away 3 times.

Jill, that's pants you and your little girl are feeling so poorly. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Spuds, i have one friend whose baby only has one functional kidney and another where there was an abnormality in the brain. Both babies were born healthy and are doing well but it has made me more aware that things can show up at this scan.
Good luck for tomorrow, I'm sure baby will be all good.

Xx

Also congrats Svetlana on team pink.

It's hard to keep up with this thread!

I agree with the others PB. I was feeling really clear movements last week but baby has shifted in position and i feel much less at the mo. Often it goes all day and i haven't felt anything. I think that is perfectly normal at this stage.

Xx

Hmm I normally notice it when I'm sat in bed watching tv! But yeah I thought it was too fast for hiccups. It doesn't stop if I move a little either, so not sure what it is! I'll see if it happens tonight.

I have just googled it and it does seem like it could be hiccups. Kinda exciting if it was, my placenta is anterior so it's cushioning everything atm.

I can't keep up either sometimes Elspeth! You all seem really active when I'm at work then quiet in the evenings and weekends when I'm usually on :p

I haven't felt anything yet. I'm guessing it's due to my weight.

Just to let you know Sainsbury's baby clothes are half price at the moment c

I had my first set of hiccups the other night - they are so cute. To be they feel like lots of teeny little kicks but in such a perfect rhythm you know what it is - baby hiccups are quite fast. My little boy used to get them just as I was going to bed each night! X

Maybe it was that then :)

Yeah I don't think my weight helps either tashap!

Ughhh got a migraine last night and suffered all through the night with it as well as being up with my little boy who had a temperature after his injections yesterday. Got up this morning head still hurting and have been violently sick three times :( x

Just bought our first big item, a next 2 me crib! Delivered Friday, exciting!

Rose, I'm still suffering with headaches and nausea to, only been able to eat coco pops, toast and crisps today everything else makes me wanna hurl.. :(

Charli I've seem them cribs but I think I'd panic too much incase she roll off onto the bed or something x

Hi everyone! Been ages since I've been on again lol I'm not great at keeping up!

Officially half way tomorrow!! And 20wk scan on Friday morning! Will be staying team yellow! Feeling huge! Excuse the gross public toilet pic lol

PB the instructions on the next2me say to have the crib a bit lower than the bed so that they can't roll in :)

~ Rose,
sending you hugs  and hoping you are feeling better this afternoon and no more migraine or sickness xx And that your boy is back to himself 100% soon xx

~ Spuds,
Hope your scan went very well, thinking of you! xx

~ Beautiful bumps girls!!!

My bump feels so uncomfortable, like it's stretching and is about to burst and sore inside! Pelvic and groin pain comes and goes, some days are worse than others. Nausea still here after I eat or drink anything :( Not throwing up, just queasiness for a few hours after I eat, for as long as I'm digesting I think. Til I am hungry and need to eat again :( Just bleughhhh

Sending lots of love to all of you xx
Baby is the size of a papaya this week(22) lol

Ah it was the one expensive thing that I really wanted, so my mum has bought it for us. They are built to be safe, and they have such good reviews. I like the idea of being able to reach out to him easily.

Bump looking good coachqueenie :)
