August 2017 babies!

I was right!!!!
Congratulations Peanut.
Girls are awesome.

Congratulations peanut!!! I'm so shocked though - I could not have been more confident that your scan looked like a boy skull (like the rest of the forum) maybe the angle wasn't quite side on so was deceptive! Eeeeek I'm so excited there is finally a few girls coming for people! X

Haha. She plays up when I have scans always turns away or is sleeping and won't budge our of the awkward position she's lying in! X

Well we did need more girls to even it out, it was at 7:1! 7:2 is a bit better :p

I have my 20wk scan on Friday, excited to see him again :D

Thank you Prrrfect, hubby is now in the spare room for a few nights to try and get back on the mend. Got the doctors first thing tomorrow to get a blood test etc and a general check up. Would have called the midwife again but they really have been so useless. I have my scan on Wednesday, almost 21 weeks! I just heard from a friend her sister was told she was having a boy at the gender scan at 17 weeks and she had a girl!! I genuinely didn't think that happen! I have heard of being told you are having a girl and it ended up a boy, but didn't think it was common the other way! Think I will get them to have another good look on Wednesday haha!

Haha omgosh Jill I didn't think it happened that way around either! I know they don't guarantee it, but what else could they mistake his little willy for haha!

I know me too!!! I think it's less likely to happen but I was shocked!! Might just grab a few gender neutral ones too.

He is terrible when he is ill, he has fibromyalgia too so any cold hits him like a ton of bricks. He has had tonsillitis 3 times in just under a year so he is like they need to come out!! Don't blame him! I try to be sympathetic but then I'm like I don't get signed off my job, I still have to get Athena up and ready when I feel poo but he doesn't have to do anything. I made him soup today, it was the Nanas magic soup from the Tesco advert, went down a treat!!

I have my maternity pillow I love it!! It's usually chucked out the bed by morning but it does help me get to sleep. I got it on Amazon for about 10 and it came with a pillow case.

I have a Kingsize bolster pillow which was cheaper than a maternity pillow and has always been just as effective I feel.

I think it's fairly rare to get the sex wrong either way but of course it can happen, with my daughter's scan there was just nothing there, I remember a shot that just looked like a barbie, totally flat between the legs lol then both the boys have quite clearly had visible winky and balls! When I've gone to my 20 weeks scan before and said I knew what I was having they've always said 'I don't see anything here to suggest that is wrong' x

Just had my bloods done to check for anemia, the doctor said I didn't look well.... Thanks for that! Apart from that she read all my notes on my pregnancy and agreed that my level of care should be higher due to all my previous issues and that I am to keep on at my midwife for more check ups. I did ask how I was to do that when they fob me off with "that's just pregnancy" when you ask about something. Rather infuriating. On a plus at least I will be told by the end of the week if my bloods are OK.

Gender scan wise, its 15% of gender scans including NHS are incorrect doctor actually looked up the stats today. That is still quite high. I had 2 friends and 2 aquantences who were told wrong genders last year had boys in a pink hat for his first day of life haha. It was what was making me not what to know so it didn't happen to me. I'm about 110% positive mines is right since I said before she had a chance to say.

Oh ouch that really sucks. I hope they work and get you on the mend. I can understand your worry but just keep an eye on any weird symptoms.

Has anyone been looking at double buggies? My wee one has only just started walking at 15 months corrected, I still think I will need her in a buggy when new one arrives. My original plan had been to not bother mainly becuase my car is tiny and just use a carrier for bump and have Athena in the buggy. Anyone in the same predicament?

Still don't think there's much going on here! And I know it looks like I only have one dress for work but I figured I'd take the pics wearing the same dress each week :p
