****** April Mummies!!!! ******

Morning lynne. I've got back to work blues too!! The thought of getting up at 6:15 tomorrow makes me want to cry!!
Im about to take the dog for a walk, then skyping two of my old school friends for a catch up. Then going shopping for paint for the nursery and a car seat :-) going for a maxi cosi as long as it fits in both our cars xxx

I've had the worse sleep ever! I started with some pain yesterday afternoon in my lower back and as the night progressed it got worse it's like every time I move I trap something that sends a electric shock down my bum cheek to my leg also when I'm turning over in bed my back clicks! :0 even just to run my hand lightly over my lower back feels agony :( this is not good I feel like I can't move think I'll be phoning my on call doctor xxx

Ouch! Hope you feel better leanne this little lady really is making her presence known!
Yeah naomi im really not fancying getting up at 6.30 tomorrow but I suppose it's gotta be done! Hope I don't cause you upset here but what is the situation with your job now? I remember a while back you saying funding had been cut.
Xx

Oh Leanne you poor thing! That sounds horrid. I hope the doctor can do something to ease the pain.

I'm sat marking my last few books whilst the OH walks the dog. Then off out this afternoon, last day of freedom for me too. Alarm will be going off at 6am with a full day of KS4 lessons, on the flip side I only have 30 work days left before maternity leave! :) xx

Nah I've stopped crying about it now dont worry! Figure what will be will be. My company are still trying to find funding in another county. They keep saying they are hoping to keep me on, but I probably won't know fr definite until march which leaves it late planning wise. Also, their policy is you've got to work the same hours for at least a year after mat leave or you have to pay back the extra they paid over SMP. Which is a big commitment really as I may end up in a county that is 1.5-2 hrs away from where I live, meaning a 3-4 round trip plus the 8 hours working each day. Not sure if I'd want to be away from my baby that long. So if they do offer me something, I may see if they will let me go part time so I'm not spending so much time away. And I'd get less mat pay but at least I wouldn't have to pay them anything back.
But they may not even offer me anything so could be a non issue!!

Aw Leanne hope your pain eases soon! Xxx

Wow 30!! Let the countdown begin!! Will have to work out how many I've got! Xxx

I'm def being made redundant from 1st feb but like you Naomi I'm over worrying about it I'm hoping its a blessing I disguise we will manage as I'm still entitled to smp and as part of redundancy package u get 3 months wages so its pretty much the same as mat pay only il be leaving earlier but I work so far from home n I don't want that when baby is here so I'm just concentrating on baby for time being il find something when the time is right xxx

Lol I've just worked out I have 48 working days till Mat leave (I work 3 days a week) and 12 of those should hopefully only be half days to use up extra annual leave ;)

Yay for maternity leave!
I was going to go back after February half term but it's a 70 mile trip and I'd only be going back for a week anyway. I'm leaving at 35 weeks instead of 36, actually at the insistence of my OH! X

I have 40 days left and I can't wait TBH! Might have some working from home days but I plan to stop coming into work at 35 weeks :D

Lol I'm stopping at 39+4 :)
I stopped at 38+5 withy daughter and was bored out off brain. Plus going to work even for a few hours is far less tiring than running around after a 2 year old!
I won't be back till Jan 2015 which sounds like heaven quite frankly ;)

Well ladies I am back from the on call doctors, I am in aony and cannot walk :( due to my current condition I have to walk using a crutch but now I am on 2! I've been given high strength paracetamol and codine to take to see if it eases doctor thinks it could be sciatica and something to do with my pelvis becoming inflamed and might be grinding :0 I have to see my own gp tomorrow or ring my consultant to be referred for extra management, oh I never do things by half lol only good thing is due to my illness I'm off work on long term sick so I can just rest which is a load off my mind.

Enough about me how is everybody doing today?? Xxxx

I've still got 60 days left... Boo :-( could be worse though. Sorry you're def being made redundant nat - hopefully you'll be able to find a nice little job closer to home once SMP runs out.

Just bought our car seat and some paint testers for the nursery :-)

Aw Leanne that's two of the April mummies on crutches now!! Hope your gp can help. Xxx

Snap hun I've just bought out Carseat I've got the britax shr ll to fit on my pram got it in zebra print lol very ott for me but I think it looks funky xx

I'll be honest, I'm lazy as sin, I love my school holidays so I can't see me getting bored for the month I'm off. Impatient to meet baby - yes. Bored of having an excuse to do nothing - never haha!
January 2015 sounds lovely! I'm very jealous, I'll be back November 2014.

Oh Leanne that I sounds awful, you poor thing. Glad to hear you'll be resting though. I hope your GP can give you a full diagnosis and get you sorted.

Naomi - ooooh which car seat did you get? What colour testers? Xx

Ha ditto on the lazy front Danielle!! I've got to work til the end of March but could very easily stop now!!

I got the maxi cosi cabriofix :-) and bought four testers - 3 varying shades of light blue (as think we want a sky blue type colour - hoping its not too boyish if we end up with a little girl!) and 1 light green to see what it's like. Xxx

Hiya
That's me just home and firing up the laptop to do some work. Iv got 55 working days to go and il finish up when im 37 and 1 wee day. Im planning on returning to work in March 2015!
Leanne I hope you feel better hun. Crutches don't sound too good.
Naomi happy painting! We're just painting the room cream and going to decorate it with pictures gender depending!
Xx

I have 60 days too which is rubbish but not due back til jan 2015 either - also think I might be made redundant whilst on maternity as they're getting rid of our office dept by dept it seems so can't see I'll actually be back there at the end of it

Had a manic day yesterday cleaned every room in the house as I had friends coming over and tbh it really needed it cos I've totally been neglecting it then today hubs and I have been at home rearranging furniture in the living room to make it a lot more baby suitable so while we're both knackered at least it's done now!

Hi ladies, just worked out I've got 56 days left to work! Doesn't sound long when you put it into days. I'm also going back Jan 2015. Hopefully it will be a nice summer with planty of time in the garden!

Hope everyone's had a great weekend? Hope the tablets kick in 3lilmonsters.

I've got Monday morning blues already x

Oh Leanne that doesn't sound good at all :( Hope the tablets at least mean you can get some sleep.

Sounds like everyone has been busy!

Pixel where do you live? And thanks for that link, that looks great! We don't have a stockist that near us but there is one right by in laws so sending them down for a look for us :)

Busy day here, put the list that Lynne posted in here into a spreadsheet (spot the accountant !) ticked off what we had (not a lot it turns out) and popped off to mothercare and mamas and papas for a browse at furniture and things.

Have decided on and ordered the M&P summerhouse range, it will be delivered in 2 weeks and I am so excited - eeee!! Been up to baby HQ tonight and sorted all the things we've bought so far into clear boxes ready for when we've built the furniture.

Somehow it still doesn't feel real that we're actually going to have a baby, just seems like we're playing at it at the moment.

Can I ask what you're all doing about sterilisers and things? I'm hoping to breastfeed and want to express too if I can so have bought a pump and some milk bags but can't work out if I need a steam steriliser etc or what?!

ALso wonder how many bottles, etc I need and things like Muslins?
