****** April Mummies!!!! ******

I survived my first day back! And im actually not too tired. Although im not doing anything energetic tonight-going back to aqua natal tomorrow night so im chilling till then. Im so excited though as iv just got hubby to put a load of junk up in the loft and bring down the old furniture for the charity shop to collect in the morning! However we are niggling and snipping at each other and im so close to punching him!
This morning im up at half 6 and tidying and sorting before I went to work. What did hubby do-went for a bath!!!
Xx

Evening all, back to work was much better than anticipated. Struggled with a dull ache sort of under my ribs. It's not pain, just uncomfortable. Had a meeting at work about my maternity leave and finalised my dates, so jealous of you ladies having until January off! I'll be back 3rd November.

Just going to chill out tonight, got the GTT test on Wednesday as I have a parent with diabetes, not looking forward to the not eating and all the bloods! x

Feel your pain nel! DH has been annoying me all afternoon - he was fine this morning at the hospital but just been so argumentative all afternoon - not sure if it's actually him or my hormones as I feel a bit stroppy after my GTT - either way he's annoying me lol

I had mine today gilly - wasn't too bad until the last hour and then I really felt the lack of food and drink - I didn't realise you couldn't even sip water :( I've never appreciated food as much as that Burger King I devoured when we left lol! Just went for he first thing we found as I was so faint!

Ladies is this the glucose testing your chatting about? iv got mine on the 23rd! 2 days after my 30th birthday! X

Yep I had mine today - should get the results tomorrow apparently so at least not too long to wait!

Evening ladies!! God I'm shattered. Really struggled with work today - seemed to really drag!!

I'm not having the GTT test as it hasn't been offered...would have quite liked one though for the reassurance.

Hubby has been a star as its his day off - he's done a load of washing, cleaned the kitchen, walked the dog, painted the coving in the nursery, done a small food shop and bought our chosen nursery paint :-) and he's now cooking spag Bol. Feel a bit guilty as I've been a total hormonal nightmare recently!!
Xxx

Woohoo Naomi! Go your hubby! Mine's has now finished all the jobs we needed done in the "to be nursery" and is now walking the dog! Walking the dog is technically my job after work but today was no chance!
xx

Ah well done to hubby!!

Glad I'm not the only one feeling wiped - a day at work knocks me for 6 nowadays

I will definitely we going for lunch with my mum after my GTT test, I think I'll be desperately in need! :)

Ooooh Naomi it sounds like hubby has been busy, lucky you! xx

Oh yes definitely you'll need a good meal, hubby ran down to the shop too just before my last blood test to get me a can of coke and as soon as that last one was done I sat down for 5 mins and drank it to get rid of that fuzzy lightheaded feeling so might want to try something like that too?

So what happens at the glucose test? Im at 9.15am in the morning, do we not eat or drink beforehand???
xx

They take bloods when you get there, you drink a glucose drink and then that's nil by mouth including water until the test finishes 2 hours later, you have one bloods taken 1 hour after the drink then the 3rd and final bloods another hour after that

We were both tired so we left work an hour early. Wasn't too bad generally and actually got several random enquiries but had some bad news that my sister might be leaving the company. If she does it puts me majority in the shit and means I probably can't take my leave as early as I wanted as I'll have to sort out and train someone else. Trying not to freak out until I know for sure. I've told her she needs to let us know ASAP

You're lucky Naomi, my OH needs a kick up the backside, he cooked and did some dishes but for the first time in days. He hasn't really done anything round the house recently!

In regards to movement, I'm not sure if it's being back at work and busy but today I haven't felt baby kick very much. I've had the lurches and rolls where I can feel pressure under the skin as if baby is pressing against but not kicks with the same force as normal. I just ate some jelly babies and had a couple of faint kicks but nothing like previously.
Am I just being a worrier? I'm starting to panic a bit at tracking movement as my baby doesn't seem to have a pattern.

Danielle my little one had a couple quiet days just before the holidays and I panicked. But I read that they are just like us and can have quiet days. But if concerned to phone your midwife. Hope you feel better. Xx

I'm having the OGTT in a couple of weeks too, not looking forward to it! Blooming boring if nothing else, and I still feel sicky when I get hungry like I did in the early days. I've been offered it as my dad has diabetes.
At least it's a morning off work though I suppose!

My bubs has had a quiet week really, movements every day but quite faint and no real pattern to them but then in the bath tonight I got some proper thuds - I'm wondering if it's a change in position or growth spurt or something?
