****** April Mummies!!!! ******

Madeline Grace is so pretty!

I told my mum and dad our previous names but haven't told them the change, not sure how to as they loved the old names ha! Think I might just say the names have changed but keep them a surprise. X

Lol it is quite fun having a little secret again I must admit!

Whoops! I meant dizzy! X

Haha I get confused too!

Ladies, braxton hicks-do they feel like a tightening and cramp low down?
X

Yes hun they are uncomfortable but should never be painful (so they say) if painful get checked out. I have about 10-15 a day now :( xx

Cheers leanne. They aren't sore but uncomfortable enough for me to notice them. How u today?

Oh im getting the back to work blues! X

I find I get then worse when I'm bursting for the loo lol. I'm good thanks hun just feel really tired xx

Yeh im finding I get them if I need to use the toilet for either number! Also if im scrunched up and baby may not like it! X

Evening ladies!!

Loving the name chat. I love the name Quinn - a school friend of mine named her daughter that earlier this year, and the link to glee barely crossed my mind. I watched the early series too. But that character isn't in it anymore anyway so doubt anyone would think there was a link.

Been over to a friends house today for lunch and chatter. She's pregnant too :-) just 7weeks at the moment, but it's really nice having someone to chat to about things besides you lovely ladies. Always feel bad going on about things to my other friends as don't think they are particularly interested!

Haven't had so much movement today but perhaps I just haven't been looking out for it as I've been busy chatting? Hopefully will get more this eve to put my mind at rest!!

Congrats pix on the move! I will be over on Monday :-)

I'm getting he back to work blues too Lynne :-( xxx

Yeh naomi these blues are horrid! Iv worked on and off all day. But tomorrow hubby and I are going to take everything to the charity shop, the tip and go shopping for the changing bag!
X

Hmm u got me thinking now elsa is lovely its such a big decision oh last name is a bit hard too it's matkin xxx

Oo have fun shopping Lynne!!

I am getting obsessed with changing bag research.... Trying to decide between:

1. Babymoov black and grey - pros are its got useful added extras (blanket, changing mat, cool bag, wet bags), simon probably wouldn't mind carrying it and its really roomy BUT cons are in the reviews lots of people say its TOO big - might be a bit clunky to carry around
2. Pink lining mama et bebe - think this looks really cute but very girlie so no way that simon would want to carry it. Also not sure if its big enough?? Looks fairly roomy but I seem to carry a lot of crap around even now, so that's only going to increase with a baby in tow, and when I'm weaning etc
3. Babymel Amanda - looks quite roomy without being overly big like the babymoov. But not as many useful compartments etc inside
4. Pacapod Jura - just seen this tonight and I LOVE it. Love the idea of having a feeding pod and changing pod and hubby could just take the changing pod if he's popping out. I love that it has a spot for everything. And that you can separately attach the pods to the pram if you have more stuff to take out, so the bag is still free. But while the Jura is the cheaper of the pacapods, it's still £70 which seems like a huge amount and is £20 over my budget. It's £30 more than the babymoov.

Argh, decisions. All of the options have positives and negatives!! Xxx

I think you need to work out if the £20 extra is worth it. If it gives you more it might be justifiable to up your budget. Just an idea.

I just filled in my baby list and still somehow have £100 worth of bits to get. Not including toiletries/maternity pads etc. How?! Haha. I thought I had it sorted. Xx

Yeh I've still got an expensive couple of months ahead too... still got to get the baby monitor, changing bag, and various other little bits and pieces.
Thinking of waiting breast pump wise to make sure i can breast feed before paying out... so will need to keep some money back for that.

John Lewis stock the pacapod so might go see it in person to see if its worth the extra cash :-) xxx

Hiya ladies! Love the name talk. Elsa is lovely, and though I can't remember who said Ted for a boy, I had a Ted in my class last year and he was so lovely!

Im starting to feel organised, but still have a fair bit to get, just not really any more major things. We have the monitor arriving tomorrow with a few other things, got given ky god-daughter's old cot last week, OH just needs to pick it up and we need to get a mattress.

Went back to work for INSET today. My usual 5 minute walk took me 25 minutes and i only made it to 11:30. Apparently I went whiter and whiter and the maths training finished just as I looked like I was about to faint (or so said a colleague who drove me home). Got an appointment with the duty gp who has signed me off for 2 weeks and need to see my own gp on 15th who'll decide if I'm to be signed off for longer. I'm also on stronger painkillers. Trying to keep smiling and think of it as bonus crochet time. Hope you're all doing ok. Xx

Aw MrsP sorry to hear you're still suffering :( Not fun at all. Glad you've been signed off for a bit- take it easy hun xxx

Lovely names girls!

Naomi have a look and if you really like it get it! We've been bargain hunting and got deals on almost everything. My one item that I'm not scrimping on will be the bedside crib, I could get a cheaper alternative or just a normal crib but I have my heart set on one in particular and I'm going to splash out!

Twinkles you jammy girl! Hope you have fun x

MrsPod sorry you're not having much fun, hope you rest up!

Oh no Mrs Pod! I'm glad you've been given time to rest, you snd baby are far more important than wotk.

Twinkles I'm so bloody jealous!! Have a lovely time! :) xx

OH is at his flight school this morning so going to go to my mum's for a bit, then we'll crack on with the nursery finally.

What's everyone else up to today? Xx

Morning all,
MrsPod I hope you rest up and don't over do it hun. Work can wait!

Twinkles!!! You lucky duck! Have a fab time hun!

Danielle, how's the marking going? Oooh im jel of you getting your nursery sorted today.

Today we are taking a bunch of junk to the tip, then a few bags to the charity shop, then up to the bank as I have money in change that I need to change over to pay the plasterer! Then, I've convinced hubby to nip into the carpet shop which is next door to the charity shop to give us an "Idea" of a price for a new carpet. Then we are off to hopefully buy the changing bag!! I can't wait!!! But I feel a bit coldy today and really can't be bothered washing and straightening my hair and putting on make up so I might just have a quick shower and stick on the shower cap! Once all that running about is done, i'll collapse on the sofa with a subway!!
xxx
