Welcome too - I see on your profile that we are due the same day! Hope you'll stick around and find out that we're not always so suspicious of new people. This is the first proper 'troll hunt' that I have seen on here and I've been on everyday since i joined.

Well done to Pinktink for highlighting the concern.... I had thought things odd but never suspected a troll. I will never understand the lengths that people will go too to get kicks!

Just read her journal and it's all pretty genuine to me. I think she is gonna be more upset than any of us considering she has been texting this girl!

Evening ladies, just caught up with this thread. I'm disgusted by what's gone on, not all together surprised judging by some of her comments such as not actually knowing when her due date was 'to be confirmed by the doctors at a layer date' apparently.

My heart goes out to all of you that have suffered as a result of any lies told to you. To use personal info like that which has profoundly affected our lives is just despicable.

Actually there have been a few ladies on here that have had their gender given to them earlier than 16 weeks.

I don't mean to jump on this comment but I found out Pickles gender at 15 weeks so it is possible. A friend of mine (albeit in Dubai) found out she was having a girl at 13 weeks with an 85% accuracy.

I think Carnat is agreeing with you - some people have been given gender before 16 weeks. (I'm sure Carnat will confirm when she is around again)

It wasn't the fact that she found out early that rang alarm bells.
It was the fact that she was supposedly brought into hospital at 13wks with bleeding and sickness and the docs at the hospital told her they'd do a scan the next day and tell her the gender.

That just doesn't wash with me.

I think i know who you are talking to i thought it was weird to find out the sex that early as in my pregnany books i didnt think you would know 100% that early plus im 16weeks and due on 22nd Sept so the dates didnt work out?...I just cant understand why someone would do that its horrible i love the advice i get on here and would hate to think people are lying...Hope they get thrown off xx

Ah ok, my bad. Another blonde moment from me. I wasn't sure, to be honest I think this whole sorry unveiling of events has got everyone on edge. PF is 99.99% of the time our safe haven and I like everyone else here hate it when something happens to potentially threaten that security, just pleased others where on the ball with this.

That's okay, I've been following this thread all evening and I just find the whole thing very sad and disappointing. I've been on a lot of forums in my time and what i love about this one is the 'lack' of trolls but my, when they appear they go all out.
Anyway, it appears to have been dealt with now as the offending posts have been removed and I don't think we'll be seeing the responsible person (or parties) again.

Well if she isn't involved I feel very sorry for the poor woman as she is much further caught up in all of this than anyone

Yep I was actually saying my issue was not with the fact this poster said they knew the gender - there are several people on here that did find out the gender earlier than 16 weeks (they were all boys though I forgot to add that point!) - but there were lots of other factors that made me question the truthfulness. It all started with the mother for me though and I started to avoid her and I avoided the daughter purely as she was "related"

I was totally oblivious to those 'people' (If you can call them that) being fakers!..I cant believe, i actually felt sympathy for that person when the thread was posted about what was going on!..Ugh!, i wont be so quick to part from my sympathy again unless theres a genuine reason!

I hope the admins/mods click onto this too and dispose of them as needed .

I think there should be some precautions in place to protect us against fakes..Like salute pictures/videos to prove who you say you are!

Carnat - it started with the mother for me also! There was just something that felt odd, especially when the husband and daughter started posting!

I didn't like to say anything incase I was wrong but I did report them.
