Anyone else in their 40s?

I had a funny turn on the train this morning, I had to stand as there were no seats, it was packed and hot...had a bit of dodgy tummy anyway and was getting tummy pains like I needed a bm :oooo: then I started to feel really sick, I honestly thought I was gonna throw up :sick:the sweat was pouring off me!! Had to really try concentrate on my breathing. Luckily it passed and I was able to sit down once we got to a station. I'm not taking this as a 'symptom' though as I have had this before on the train...although not quite as sweaty!

Hope everyone okay, I think us 'wiser' ladies could do with some good luck right about now! xx

Staces this sounds like a very promising sign, are you 12dpo today, I'd just love if one of us lttc'ers who's over 40 could get pregnant and stay pregnant, we've taken a bit of a battering recently but there are women over 40 who have healthy babies so stay believing xxxx

Girls just wanted to say a big thank you for all the support over the last fortnight, sadly I started to bleed in the middle of the night but I'm glad my body has recognized the baby was not for keeps.

I'm sending each of you so much baby dust, :dust: each pregnancy is unique & it only takes one strong baby to make it. Xxx

How are you today Louise? I feel so sad this wasn't your take home baby :( xxx

Thanks Staces, I'm feeling ok - TMI As I never had bleeding with my previous MMC's I'm not really sure if I'm bleeding enough or if I've passed what I need to, I was planning to do a FRER on Thursday and see if it's negative. I had pains on Sunday night & definitely passed tissue/clot Monday morning but no pains since then though I have had red blood each time I go to the toilet. If FRER negative on Thurs I'll cancel appointment for next Wednesday, if it's still positive I'll go next Wednesday to get scanned to make sure all is gone & I don't need a D&C.

Clementine my first miscarriage was at 8 weeks but had stopped developing around 4.5 weeks. It was very obvious when I passed the sac, the pain was bad the night before then I just felt something there ready to come out. I kind of wiped with a tissue before going to the loo and there it was, no way I could have mistaken it for a clot as it was harder and a different colour. Sorry, I know that's all waaay too much info but just to say if/when you pass it, you'll know.

Staces, hope you're feeling ok.

I think I'm 14 dpo? AF due around Thursday. A similar thing happened a couple of months ago on the train, had to stand and it was the really fast train and started feeling sick and had to squat down and concentrate on my breathing, I think I just dont like standing!

Re bleeding, I was the same as when i googled i read so many horror stories about women who were bleeding loads etc and mine although heavy i wasn't like soaking through pads or anything.

With my second mc I started bleeding around 8+4, proper red bleeding started teh next day and had pains that evening but more like a bad period pain, bleeding got lighter by the next day and day after i woke with dull ache and ended up passing two massive 'clots' (sort of joined together, probably about size of a 2 pence) had a scan on the Monday and the sac had collapsed and was measuring 2mm so they told me I should just pass that naturally. I started bleeding again around 2-2 and half weeks later (i think), though that was too early for period so not sure if that was the rest? then around 3 weeks later got my period.

Everyone is different, hopefully you have passed what you need to and it will be over...at least physically anyway, emotionally most definetely takes longer xx

I know this is a pretty gross conversation to be having - I definitely had cramps on sunday night and a very deep draggy feeling in my tummy, and bleeding started , the following morning when I went to the loo I felt something just slip out, it was like white connected tissue like material about and 1 inch or a bit bigger - Syd does this sound like what you had - apologies for such graphic descriptions (the joys of being a woman!!)

It does sound like it could be. I lost mine about the 7week stage and it was like £2 coin sized ball 2 or 3 clots that size.

Hope your okay today clementine x

Syd, how is the IVF going?

AF due tomorrow, cervix is very low and firm so I know its coming. Realistically I knew I didn't stand much chance this month due to timings not being right, still like to have a little hope though! I have acupunctire session tomorrow, think I might suggest going back to every two weeks x

Hi Staces, I'm not sure about cervix checking how does it indicate pregnancy? Hopefully AF stays awayxx

Still in a bit of a dilemma over where to go...

I'm really missing my acupuncture and reflexology, have some sessions booked when I'm back in the uk in December.

Will timing work out ok next month staces?

Clementine, how are you doing?

Nikkers, any news?

Ery, how are you doing?

10dpo - temps still high, sore boobs, feeling a bit sicky and yuk. So the signs are good, but they're all PMS signs too! Will be testing on Saturday if temps are still high....

Low and firm indicates AF, like everything its not an exact science! I'm not a fan of cervix checking though, makes me a little squeamish :oooo:

Oh i can imagine, its a big decision, luckily there are a lot of ladies on here who can hopefully help and give you advice. x I might have to cancel my acupuncture as not sure if i can leave work early, its a little frustrating as she cant always do saturdays and I hate doing evenings! Not sure if i should change therapists but she kind of knows my background etc now....

I have no idea, should have worked out this month but I ovulated early :wall2:

Good signs, but yes i know what you mean can also be pms, its frustrating isn't it! Hope this is your month x

Ery I just saw your post on the ss thread about the water freezing experiment, I love that, remember reading about it a few years ago. Incredibly powerful.

Aye my science brain hasn't got a reason for it yet so I'm willing to flow with the evidence as I see it so far lol. Lol

CD1 today, on a positive note AF was on time and came first thing so no worrying about which day is CD1 (i hate that) have to put a positive spin on these things I guess! I am allowing myself a weekend of indulgence (ish) then really gonna try eating healthier and back to my exercise regime come Monday, I need to loose a few pounds! :oooo: x

Hope Lillith is okay, not been on here for a while x

I'm still here staces, been following posts on here but feeling down still, am sure I have post natal depression after the miscarriage.
I'm 2 or 3dpo, we dtd day before positive opk so I'm not sure if we are covered, OH has gone back home so we probably won't see each other again until Christmas now. Time is ticking and at 44yrs I don't have time left. Am talking myself into the fact that this might never happen and even if it does the thought of another miscarriage terrifies me. Sometimes I am even questioning myself saying do I really want another baby ?. I'm all mixed up at the moment.
I hope all you girls are ok, love and hugs to you all on this long winding road.
xx

Ah sorry your feeling so down lillith x I know exactly how you feel, its so hard not to focus on age, everything is so much harder when time isn't on your side! I also worry about MC again, I think thats normal though, i've been through it twice now and it does terrify me if it were to happen again. I have said all along I dont want to get pregnant again unless its my take home baby, so maybe this is why its taking me so long, mother nature it waiting until I produce the best egg lol.
The one thing i have realised through this journey is I am stronger than I ever knew, we all are you included, big hugs to you and hope this is your month xx
