I think (not 100%) that asda have them 2 for £20
There baby event starts online today I think
Not sure how much they are at morrisons

From having my little boy and knowing what a busy bee he is at home it would be great to have some carrier or sling to still get bits done at home
I will deff be investing in a baby swing chair too for times when baby settles ok and has somewhere to take it all in :)

I still use my johnsons tub box for my Lo's bath toys now lol : ) x

Not sure what we will do this time as Asda is only 5 mins up the road.

Not looking forward to my scan on the 16th feb as OH is getting his tonsils took out on the 13th :( so not sure if he will be up to it, I don't think he realised it was the gender scan, might be going on my own I do hope he's ok to come

I usually use asda, tesco or aldis own wipes
Although if you go on to asda online shopping into the wipes section
Not sure why but it's under Disney
Click on it and you can get a box of 20 packs of wipes for £10 and there not bad at all : ) x

Is anyone else still having the thoughts of
I would sooner slap my other half than look at him at the moment? Lol
Because boy am I today!
His breathing is irritating me lol x

Aww Angela I hope your OH gets to come too!! I think mines going to be disappointed not to come to my 16w appointment if we'd hear the heartbeat then, unless he's able to get time off school which is unlikely!

Laura - YES lol, mainly in bed - takes me ages to get comfy and I basically kick and elbow him out of the way till I'm happy... Thinking about it, I must be driving him nuts too! Mainly he's on tenterhooks that anything he says will make me cry - I'm fine most of the time but have had about 4 massive sobbing fits on him now, bless him.

That's really useful, thanks Lacey! The type you had looks great. Think will def be considering that. I've also heard good things about the Boba 4g for when baby is a bit older but that's expensive. Gonna have a proper look though because they're meant to last for ages. Did you have a pram at all? I keep thinking I'd like to just see how we get on with the slings and buy a pram if we feel we actually need one when baby's here rather than spend a lot of money on something that we might not end up using. But our mums keep telling us that we definitely need a pram!

Eeeek AnotherYou, that sounds painful! Glad it's clearing up for you.

Congrats on 16 weeks Crawkay!

Aww hope your partner can come with you Angela. Fingers crossed he feels well enough Xxx

Our pram arrived today. Yay!! :-D x have resisted the temptation to open box as I feel I won't be able to get it back in once I take it out!! N if we manage to get the house sorted then we will need the box to transport it!! We also got a box of 12 packs of baby wipes for £8 in morrisons today!!xxx

Thank you Lola!! It's a big relief (literally, haha!) that it's feeling better now.

Twinkletoes that's so exciting! Which pram did you go for in the end? xx

We are off to visit my parents next weekend. They're very excited so I suspect it'll be shopping trips. I'll also be seeing my bro and his family for the first time since telling them, which I'm looking forward to.
Today, however, is a day to start working through the house and getting rid of anything unnecessary. The oh better not sit still too long ;)
Had promised myself a day on the sofa, but feeling good so will make use of the energy and get productive.
Once oh wakes up and makes me breakfast... ;)

Thank you ladies I hope he will be ok to come.
Dd and I were meant to be going to my dads today but it's snowing and k don't fancy driving in it hehe

Is anyone else not feeling pregnant?
I know it's common at this stage but I wish something more obvious was happening. I'm getting a little rounder but definitely haven't 'popped' and my nausea is very on and off now.
I'm getting impatient, I want a bump and kicks :/

Me too Crawkay... The main feeling I've had recently is indigestion! I've definitely got a bump of some kind going on but most of the time I'm sure it's just bloat still. Fingers crossed you'll start feeling things soon though! x

Lola, you definitely don't NEED a pram.

I did have one with DS. Used it a few times more out of obligation than anything.

With baby's being due mid-year, I'd seriously consider aiming for a pram in next years Christmas sales, once they're five-ish months old.
By pram I mean a buggy/pushchair as a traditional pram will be next to useless by then.

If you're really in two minds, leave it for now, see how you go with a sling.
I will not be getting a pram this time.

The only side-note I'd make to this is that I love a ten-minute walk into town, a walk I make ten times a week for work anyway, and I do not have a car, so I'm also not getting a car seat (we still have DSs which I'll use when the grandparents are up).

I truly found walking around town, supermarket shopping, etc, easier with the sling. Xx

Added:

If you're really unsure, go look at prams, but don't buy. Have one or two in mind so if you do decide to get one once baby is here, you don't feel you just have to get the first one you come across.
If that makes sense xx

Babies r us bargain
You can get the I love my bear (range) changing station in dark finish for £29.96 was £99.99

Just incase anyone was thinking of having a changing station :) x

Thanks Lacey! You've just reassured me enough to go with the plan of not getting one and seeing how we get on :-) We went for a wander around Kiddicare today and had a play with prams for the first time and we are still both just so much more drawn to the idea of using slings. One of the reasons I was wary about spending the money too was that I've heard so many people say that they stopped using their pram/pushchair after a few months and swapped it for a lightweight buggy like a maclaren. So I was thinking we could just see how the slings go when baby is really small then get a buggy to use too when s/he is a bit older. But think that's a great idea to research and pick out a pram just in case it all goes wrong and baby/me/both of us hate the slings! Then we can just go out and get it instead of starting from scratch!

My nausea is on and off now too Crawkay. Feels strange after it being pretty much constant for so long! Hope you have all had a nice weekend. I've been a bit down after telling my best friend about the baby (started a thread about it) but had a lovely afternoon looking at baby stuff and bought our first ever baby purchase so that was fun :-) That looks like a total bargain Laura! Can see myself getting addicted to baby shopping now! xxx

Another you we got the joie 3 in 1 travel system in jade. Comes with car seat, wheel base, pushchair attachment and pram attachment. Was £200 off in the sales! Quite excited! Went baby shopping with my pregnant friend yesterday. It was such fun. Bought a duck teddy, but that was it whilst we were out. She did tell me about a night light that doubles as a temperature gage, which she highly recommended. So ordered one from amazon when I got home! You can get little character casings to fit over the top I got an owl one! I'm beginning to pick up some bits and pieces, which is exciting. I just want to try and spread out the cost as much as possible!!x

Morning everyone

Hope you all had nice weekends. Ours was a busy one. We bought our travel system on Saturday. We went for the Mamas and Papas Sola City after a good few hours in the store grilling the poor member of staff about all the prams they had in our price range. She was great though, the customer service was much better than Mothercare. We went for the Sola City because it ticked every one of our boxes, my OH is very happy with it.

Anyone else feeling a little overwhelmed and lost with how much to buy for baby and exactly what is needed? I like my lists so I feel like I need to get one together with everything on it that we'll need to buy. I'm still feeling pretty clueless :oooo:

Sling - I haven't given this much thought so I'm a bit undecided about using one at the moment. I like the sound of one though.

Crawkay - Yes, I'm definitely feeling a bit more 'normal' recently. My sickness has pretty much gone, it comes and goes a little bit, but I'm not really tired anymore.

xx

Morning Kwarbee!

Exciting that you have got your travel system!! Hubby wants to wait for feb scan for us which is ok with me...I guess!

I am completely with you on the feeling overwhelmed! I am keen to start sorting but have been told by mum and hubby it's a bit early! I do to want to do it when I'm the size of an elephant though!!!

I've been taking weekly pics on my belly and seeing the progression is so exciting! It's very slight but is happening!

Morning Ladies!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

We had a bit of baby overload this weekend looking at travel systems and car seats etc! I even ended up dreaming about prams on Saturday night after a full day of looking haha!

We finally ended up deciding on and ordering the Joolz Day Earth pram/pushchair from Mamas & Papas & we got a free footmuff included in the price - we get it delivered in March and I can't wait!!

Oh how my life has changed getting excited about a pram haha!

I did find it good fun looking at all the baby stuff and having a play with all the prams and looking at all the cute things! Even OH enjoyed himself and was suggesting all kinds of things we could get!!

How is everyone's bump doing? Mine feels really big the last few days!

xx
