How rude! No one has come near me, I think I come across as stand offish!!

Hope no-one here is still getting MS, or hasn't eaten yet, cos here comes my menu from tonight:

Round 1: Scotch pancakes with cream cheese, avocado, red pepper and cherry toms.
Round 2: Scotch pancakes with strawberry jam and cream.

I was making a few at a time and we just ate them as they came out of the pan. I now feel ENORMOUS. And SOOOO happy.

:D

Don't want to scare anyone, but I just looked at the front page of October mummies, and there is someone due on 30th October. So it won't be long until (eeeeek) a thread starts for November mummies!

Aaaaah so lovely to see and hear good news from scans Love looking at the pics, congratulations :-) And really hope everything goes well for others who have scans soon. Well done for staying strong BonzE. I know I'll be tempted when I'm there but know deep down I'd rather have a surprise. It's nice there's a mix between some of us finding out and some having surprises on here :-)

Aaaaargh November mummies! It's crazy how fast time is flying :-)

I have finally discovered One Born Every Minute and am totally addicted! Xxx

Don't know when it is back but I love it. Although I couldn't have watched it before having my first, so I think any first time mummy watching is very brave!

Ive always watched it so not gunna stop now just because itl be me in.a few.months!
She says! Hahahahaah xxxxxx

Iv always watched it too, I LOVE it! Always makes me cry! X

I love it. I cry when the dads cry. I'm expecting tears from OH or I'll be maaad, haha.x

Such lovely scan news to catch up on, yay!! Good luck for those having scans today, hope everything goes well :) Mine is on Friday, can't wait!!

I've just spent a couple of days in London with my mum which has been lovely - there was just one journey the tube was really crowded but some people noticed my bump and stood up for me, woo! Actually I felt like such a nuisance and would have been quite happy standing, but then I remembered it's not so much about not being able to stand as avoiding risk of jostling, so I was grateful.

I reckon my baby likes pancakes as it had a good little wriggle after I'd eaten some :D

Hahahaha i defo expect OH to cry - otherwise i will not be impressed!!! Xx

Morning ladies, anyone else finding it increasingly difficult to find a comfortable sleeping position? I've always slept on my left hand side, but now that I am pregnant and should sleep like that, I just can't get comfortable. I've tried changing my pillows, pillows between the knees, v-shaped pillows and a full body pregnancy pillow and I just can't get comfy. Then worse I wake up with really painful neck and shoulders from not sleeping in a good position.

I thought I had cracked it last night with the full body pillow, got nice and comfy - have to give DH brownie points for telling me to take as much bed as I needed to get comfy and as much duvet, he would be fine with whatever is left, he is ace - but then after about an hour of sleep I woke up with pain in hips and shoulders and my left hand had gone to sleep so had pins and needles and was then really painful. So that got kicked out of bed and I slept with a cushion between my knees. Think I think tossed and turned most of the night - which is really annoying for both of us!

Sorry for the long rant, but it feels better to get that off my chest! I don't remember having any sleep problems with my first, but maybe that's just rose tinted glasses and I've blocked those memories!

Anyone got any other tips on sleeping comfortably on left?

Toni I seem to have two good nights then three bad (give or take) it's not so much getting comfy it's staying asleep then when I wake I can't get comfy again...I wonder if it's preparation? X

Toni - I'm the same as BonzE seems to have a few good nights with unbroken sleep and then the rest are restless and constantly having to pee! x

Toni...im with you - one night a position is comfy and the next its not! :( i wake up constantly with pains and aches and cant sleep comfy at all :( so draining :( im turning into a right grumpy emotional bitch!hahahah. It.is a case of trial and error, which is no help i know :( xxx

So i know movement is few and far between but i dont feel anything anymore :( all i have is pains and aches. I dont feel movement - at least i dont think so. I had a week or so of flutters and bubbles and now nothing. Im freaking out. Heartbeat was checked at 16& 18 weeks and fine both times. Ill be at MW every 2weeks at this rate!!! Scan is next thurs so still a long time to wait. I dont wanna sound a dick and call mat unit as theyll just think im being a fanny and i refrained from buying a doppler! I know its not normal to feel movement all the time - but im getting nothing!!!! And to go from getting some to nothing is worse :( tell me im normal and nit o er analysing this :(
xxxxxx

Oh Claire don't feel silly for being concerned and contacting the MW. Who cares if you have been twice or 40 times if you are worried you are worried and they will understand that. Personally I would call the MW and see what they say - they maybe able to bring your scan forward as you may have an anterior placenta so not feel as much but at least then you would be more reassured. Get them called to ease your mind worrying will do you no good! xxx

Yeah don't be silly Claire they won't think your being a dick. It's your body and your baby inside so they have to take you seriously and have your best interests at heart!my midwife said to me last time I saw her if ive got any concerns or just want to have a listen to baby to reassure myself don't hesitate x

Lovely scan picture! Did everything go well? Well done on staying team yellow. I would make a guess at team blue for you, but I'm useless at guessing!

Claire, I wouldn't hesitate to call if you are worried. Your midwife is there to support and guide you through this, I'm sure she would understand. As the other ladies have said, you shouldn't feel silly for feeling anxious about it, I'm sure most of us feel the same way about things! I know it's usual for movements to be inconsistent at this stage but your midwife should be able to hopefully give you some reassurance.

Toni, yes, I am struggling with sleep a little at the moment. I just keep tossing and turning which wakes me up. Last night I jumped out of bed with cramp in my leg, ouch! It sounds like you've tried pretty much everything! I haven't got a pregnancy pillow, think I need to invest in one.

I love OBEM too, I watched an old episode last night in fact!

Hope you're all well today.

20 weeks for me, I'm officially halfway :)

xx
