_•~•*XoXoX*•~•_ JULY 2015 Mummies-To-Be _•~•*XoXoX*•~•_

Hope you have a lovely day with your mum Laura :)
Hope everyones well?I felt so ill last night. I'm not sure if I have a pee infection but its kinda sore down there and hurts to pee? What can I take for it?xxx

Best to go doctors Hun get your wee sample checked in case it's a water infection
Maybe a bit of thrush if it is canisten can be used but only by hand don't use the pessary stick in the box as its advised against during pregnancy
All being well won't be either Hun and just your hormones changing and getting ready and prepared for baby x

Cranberry juice and lots of water (2/3litres) a day if you can manage it? No sugar or sweet foods either!! Thrush thrives on sugar! X

Thanks girls :) will book docs appt if it doesn't go today. I have been eating lots of sweets/sugary things this week so maybe could be thrush although it feels a bit more like a water infection.
I think I have powder sachets for water infections, do you know if we can have those?xx

I'm not sure, sorry hun, I'm a bit shit with stuff like that? Sweets won't help though xx

AAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the water for Millie... :(

I said somewhere that I never drink. Anything.
I really need to start. I hate water with a passion but I'm peeing so much if I don't start drinking it Ima have another kidney infection before I can blink.

MUST. DRINK. WATER.

BonzE... Same way I did last time... On a wing an a prayer...
I was gonna laugh... Not sure I'm kidding.

Last time around, I worked on the Sunday, started maternity leave on the Monday, gave birth early Friday morning.
Because our holiday year runs April to march, and DS was Jan, it meant I had a big chunk of hols to take before I went off. (I wasn't going back until after the new holiday year).
Instead of taking holiday-into-mat leave, by October I was dropping down to four days (40 hours instead of 50), by the time Christmas week hit I was down to three days. My last week I worked four days but did five-hour days instead of ten-hour.
I also went to all day shifts so I was working 6am-4pm/6am-11am all the time, instead of all this chopping and changing.

I don't know how that's gonna work this time around though...
I'm now on flexible working, so I work the same shifts every week. This is (by law, not company) a year-long agreement, that runs out after my mat leave is due to start.

I'm gonna look at holiday days etc when I get in in a bit and see if I can holiday the two night shifts for every week of the later months.

Anyone wanna be my bump-buddy?

I never had one last time :(
I remember seeing labour threads started by people's bump buddies when the time came and feeling a bit lonely... Lol
Had to do my labour thread all by myself after I'd given birth an got home, POOR ME!!

I will!! Not sure what it means though but yep always up for a new buddy!

Trooper comes to mind but then if you are used to those hours it's not so bad I guess?

I have to keep reminding myself to eat at the moment, I get hungry but then I feel queasy so then I don't eat, the queasy passes and I stay the same! Must eat food! esp taking fish oil caps...bleugh!!

I want to start shopping!

Yay BonzE :yay:!!!

Essentially, a little later down the line/whenever, you swap phone numbers so you can keep up to date easier. When the time comes, instead of trying to log on and update (because as exciting as it is, I promise it'll be the last thing on your mind) you or even OH can fire a quick text to bump buddy to update, and then your bump buddy starts your labour thread and keeps everyone up to date.

Then you come back on whenever you're ready and see this "real-time" document of good wishes etc for baby's arrival. :)

Trooper maybe but as you said: I've done this job over seven years now... It's just, normal.

And I got lucky that (as a pub manager) I was fattest over our busiest time so we had lots of extra staff etc and I was able to take a hands off "paper work-y" approach.

I'm still in bed lol!! Got no energy whatsoever! Starting to feel a bit sicky too xxx

Believe me Millie, I'd still be in bed too.

Embrace those symptoms, girl!

Ended up with Heinz tomato soup and granary bread, just what I needed, really enjoying it! :) x

I have egg mayo sandwiches OH made for me but not eaten them yet lol! Need some energy lol! xx

Question: at what stage do you stop thinking about being pregnant every minute of every day? 35weekz is going to take sooooooo long!

I would love an answer to that question! I'd guess it's never though :(
Had a 5 minute meltdown to OH yesterday, I'm so tired of constantly being on edge and fearing the worst at what should be an exciting time! Think the main cause may well have been hunger though, ha.x
