Got mine scan appointment today just over two weeks from midwife appointment
Scan is 30th December at 2pm x

We have the same scan day mines 4:30
im feeling nervous and hope all is ok as its my LOs birthday on the 31st

Nah, not so bad. At least it's all mornings now.
Well. Sunday is like, 11-8, but the rest of the week is straight 6am-4/5pm.

Better than switching to 3pm-1am twice a week. Nights SUCK.

Seeing the bicarb thread... We're all edging into the best time to do it...

I'll probably have a go tonight when I get in, then tomorrow when I get up (assuming I can "go" alone... DS is in that "oh, are you going to the toilet? I MUST COME WATCH!!!" Phase, lol).

Then I'll prob do it a bunch more times just for lolz.

Be interesting... It's supposed to be about as accurate as you can get before the 20 week scan.

OH is still firmly convinced it's a girl.

I'm tempted to go pink up my name, since he's SO convinced.

Bit of colour would be nice up front.

I'm thinking I'll make people's names the colour they think based on gender tests, then after 20 week scans put the pink/blue stork thingy. Then when babies arrive we can see who was right from guesses/scans.

Front page is gonna get busy...

ETA: If you're not actually finding out, and staying yellow-flavour at the 20 week, you can still have a pink/blue name colour, (as a guess/prediction) and a yellow stork

This complete boob of a customer just commented that I'm "looking especially chubby today". One of those types sits in the bar every morning and thinks he knows everything 'cause he eavesdrops on every conversation ever. Usually getting half a story.

"What's that (customer)? You finally crossed the line from annoying to outright rude? No problem. There's the door, please shut it from the outside and don't worry figuring out how to open it again".
"... Are you barring me?"
"Oh yes. Bye now".

I can hear him complaining to the guy behind the bar now. He's all "she can't do that...?" And my guy's like, "actually (customer), she can. Kaythnxbai!".

Twat.

I have a feeling that my little baba is a boy and every 'test' I've done so far has also said boy! I did the Chinese predictor one for fun and the ring on the end of a thread test and both of those also said boy. My mum also kept messaging me that she kept seeing four magpies = boy!

Could someone explain to me about the bicarb test? I remember reading it somewhere and I guess I could google it, but might be useful to have an explanation in here for everyone? It's something to do with if it goes fizzy or not, right?

We are staying team yellow but I love the guessing game.

Lacey, the cheek of that customer!! Glad to hear you kicked him out. I love Pixar but I'm at work in an office so might not get away with watching that. Will check it out on my lunch.

Put a spoonful of bicarb in another cup

Pour enough pee in to cover the bicarb.

If it fizzes (like a glass of coke) it's a boy. If it stays flat, it's a girl.

KWar, I changed you to a blue it is fun guessing, whether you'll know in Feb or July, either way, it's just a bit of fun.

I'm going of Chinese gender chart, early scan nub, and the fact that OH is determined it's a girl cause that's all he has (I heard gender comes from the male, so maybe he has a point...?).
12 week scan (if I can get a clear pic) will give me a much better clue, and I'll try bicarb later.

The bicarb actually makes sense, as it's to do with the chemicals/hormones your body is producing.
Stuff like how you carry your bump, which boob is bigger, etc are more to do with your body type than anything else.

My friends mum did the ring test on us all years ago (I'm talking when I was like, eight...). I've never forgotten it said boy then girl. I never planned on any, now I have DS. I certainly never planned on a second, now there's a possible girl on the way...

I know it's supposed to be "your" ring over "your" pregnant belly, but, I still find myself thinking about that...

Girls, it's good news! I am officially 10weeks and one day pregnant and have a due date of 9th July with my bump buddy Lacey!!

We have a wriggling kicking little baby and a clear and healthy heartbeat! Relieved and happy don't even cover it! Here to spread some joy!!

Keen to do the bi carb test but had been adamant to stay team yellow...
