Morning bump at 15+2. Excuse grumpy-looking cat in background - he wanted his breakfast

ah check you skinny minny you look fab! definitley feeding you on krispy cremes if we manage to meet up in Sheffield

Your bump is so cute!!! love it

I also believe hair dye is fine as long as you're not sniffing the fumes! :)

Netty that definitely sounds like a stressful day! :( The extra stress and worry just isn't needed.

Wow to all the beautiful bumps. I find it so fascinating how different we all are at the same stage. You'd have thought I was HUGE by the comments I get at work. The most recent one was this exchange with a delivery man:
Delivery man "You look like you're due any day now!"
Me "No?"
Delivery man "Ah, then twins is it?"
Me "No! I'm clearly just fat!"

:wall2::wall2::wall2:

God, that is so annoying CornishGirl! Whether you bump is 'big' or 'small', when you are pregnant it is like your body becomes the property of other people and they feel they have the right to give their opinion. It's obviously not meant in a bad way, but I just don't get why it's suddenly ok to comment on a woman's body? I've been told I am too small and 'don't look pregnant', which is kinda offensive, like somehow I am doing something wrong or something is abnormal with my pregnancy. I don't think people realise their comments could at best be really annoying/rude, at worst make you worry and feel shit about your body. Don't even get me started on the various (and contradictory) advice that has been dispensed by all and sundry about pregnancy and motherhood.

Sorry for rant, I seem to be on one today. The weather is bad, work is doing my head in, and I'm ready for maternity leave NOW! haha! xx

Do you know what, out of all of us you’ll probably pop back the easiest and then we’re all be jealous. I swear mine is half baby, half food anyway

So about the hair dye, I thought it would be ok if I left till the 2nd tri, but was told all over colour can be absorbed by the skin so then I was unsure. I’ll double check with a hairdresser, but I’d expect it’s such a small amount it should be ok.

Omg, these comments drive me mad. I got one the other day “are you sure it’s only one in there?” So I said “you’re right, I should ask my sonographer if she knows her job properly as she clearly missed a second baby with all her experience. You can’t get the staff these days!” Shut her up!

Haha, thanks Netty! I wouldn't say no to a Krispy Kreme or two. This morning I felt all virtuous walking to work in the pissing rain, but then undid the smugness by stopping at the bakery and getting a bacon and egg roll and eating it in the street

I honestly wouldn't worry about it. I got twitchy about wearing normal suncreams for the same reason (chemicals etc being absorbed by the skin and affecting the baby), so I asked my midwife and she just laughed and said 'she hadn't heard of that one before'. It put my mind at rest.

Ha! By the end of the day, mine is definitely 80% food/ 20% baby  I'm sure I'll wake up one morning and the bump will suddenly be 'there'...then I will complain that it is too big haha!

Hey everyone! Sorry I’ve not been around for a while. I feel like it’s gone from time really dragging to it suddenly going so fast coz life seems to be so busy! Lovely to see bump pics and people starting to find out gender, so exciting :-) Nice mix so far! I’m pretty convinced we’re having another girl from my scan pic but we’re going to keep it as a surprise. I feel guilty admitting it but I’m a little worried I might feel disappointed if we found out at the scan it’s another girl whereas I’m sure that once the baby’s in my arms I’ll be so happy I really won’t care either way if that makes sense?!

Had 16 week appointment with midwife this morning and also an appointment to discuss my daughters birth last week as need to decide whether to go for a planned section or VBAC. Got to listen to baby’s heartbeat at both appointments which was lovely :-)

I’ve started getting a weird tugging like pain around my belly button. Really uncomfortable at times and kept waking me up last night. Anyone had anything like this? Xxx

I literally hate the bump size comments. In honesty it depends what I am wearing as to whether I want to show it off or not - I either get your tiny or it's popping out! I wouldn't comment on someone's size ordinarily so what gives people the right to comment on mine?

I've been getting pains around the sides of my bump, it's especially bad when I sneeze sometimes- like a stitch x

people at work have been like ' oh you are big arn't you' can't people just say 'nice bump' and F off hahaha!

Lucy that sounds like typical ligament pain, i get it if i turn too quickly in bed or cough!

Yeah that's what I'm putting it down to, just not particularly nice. Has anyone started using a pregnancy pillow in bed yet? I'm finding it more difficult to get comfortable during the night now x

I haven't but I do need one, i am just loathed to spend £30 on a new one! However apparently they are good for duel use for feeding and stuff

I may just have to suck it up

Sounds like ligament pain, I have to raise my legs to sneeze otherwise I get a really bad stitch that has made me yell in the past. I’ve also had a pregnancy pillow for weeks now, I sleep better with it than without as I took it out of the bed for a few days and kept waking up.

I also have a pregnancy pillow. I don’t think I’d sleep without it! I think it’s called the dream geanii but it is expensive for a pillow.

I've still got the pillow from my last pregnancy so I'll have to get that out again I reckon. It was only a cheapy job from Argos though. Some of the pillows you can get look immense (but expensive!)

I think you can get those big sausage ones for like £15 from Dunelm. It doesn’t say pregnancy so it’s much cheaper!

Ooh I’m pretty sure I’ve been feeling LOTS more movements today. I’ve been really concentrating on it because I’m desperate for the reassurance but I’m so sure it’s my baby girl rolling about. :pink: <3

Awww I can’t wait to feel my boy. Although with how active he is I’m a little scared that he’s going to beat me up

I am dying to feel some movement! i am 15 weeks on monday so hopefully i only have a couple of weeks left

I have a long weekend away from today in Brixham so I am going to focus on that and stop worrying at how normal i feel now compared to Tri1!

I should be jumping for joy and this new found awakeness and non sickyness, instead i am desperate for my next scan

Hey guys, I have been pretty distant on this group as tend to go on Facebook more but as I don’t work I have no excuse, lol!!
I hope everyone is enjoying the 2nd trimester more than the 1st?
I went to meet the consultant yesterday to discuss birth options. I had a normal birth with my first (8lb 7)but she caused some damage (sorry if tmi) and it took me a while to recover so I had an elective CS with my second (she was 9lb12) and the recovery was sooo much quicker. I think I’m going to have another C section this time as the midwife told be boys are usually bigger. Has anyone heard this before? This has put me off having a vbac!! They said baby would be born between the 24th as 28th September so it is starting to feel more real!!

I do feel like I’m huge already, which is probably due to my weak stomach muscles!! I definitely need to invest in a pregnancy pillow ASAP as I keep wanting to sleep on my back and I don’t think we are meant to do that now??

I was going to add my bump pic but don’t know if I can do that from my phone or if it needs to be from my computer?
Amy x
