Is there anyone out there in my situation after a ealy loss after ivf and waiting for their 1st FET?
I feel so sad and disappointed I am struggling to cope with the outcome after waiting for so long to start ivf and now I feel in a worse place than I started

I actually regret starting ivf as I feel it's opened a door to a higher level of pain Which is going to only bring me more sadness

Alexis is there a counsellor at your clinic that you can have a chat with? You are dealing with major grief and there are people who specialise in fertility and bereavement. I’m sure there is a website with free phone lines for women suffering after miscarriage too, worth googling. Xx

Here’s the link
Miscarriage and pregnancy loss helpline - The Miscarriage Association

I’ve phoned them after my chemicals and they were very kind and understood.
Thanks I think it's the fact I went though ivf and still ended up with nothing .. In fact I ended up feeling worse than I did before ivf.

I thought ivf was going to be the answer We don't have any other options now. If ivf doesn't work... There's no where else to go. I had a positive test on the day I miscarried it was so horrible . I feel like our ivf cycle went so so well then for that to happen I'd rather it had been negative

I now have the fear of the next transfer doing the same. All those drugs and scans and appts all for nothing

Its all very raw still and you will naturally be feeling upset, angry, frustrated and many more emotions. I have had 4 miscarriages, one of them an IVF one and it was so disheartening to go through it all with no take home baby.
All I can say is give yourself time, be angry, be sad, talk it out, scream if you have to. Do whatever you need to do but know that you are right in the midst of it right now and it's hard to see any light in this time.
Lots of virtual hugs to you x

Thank you for replying, was your take home baby an ivf cycle gives me hope I'm just worried that 1 ivf MC means it will happen.again ?

20% of pregnancies end in MC, regardless of IVF or not. The IVF MC rate is lower, but not enormously. 1 MC isn’t indicative of anything. Odds are if you get pregnant again it will stick. Several losses might indicate a problem but even then it can just be down to bad luck.

Yes, she's an IVF baby.
It absolutely doesn't mean it will happen again, after one miscarriage there is no increased chance of it happening again. It's hard to feel positive again, whilst grieving and dealing with all that comes with a miscarriage but it will get easier, I promise x

I am sorry to know you are going through this. I would recommend doing karyotyping to know whether or not genetics is the issue. In case eggs with aneuploidies are transferred, a woman will experience mc, even if it is an IVF procedure. In such cases IVF PGS NGS is one of the best solutions x

We are not offered any PGD testing as part of nhs funded cycle. We get 3 cycles on NHS so using them 1st in hope we wouldnt need to pay for private treatment. We have 2 frozen embryos form this 1 cycle so will just need to keep trying
