Have been bad mummy again. Seren was getting really grizzly at six, she had two good naps during the day. I gave her a bath, read a book, then boob all as normal. She was falling asleep on the boob so I took her off it and put her in her crib and as she was well on her way she fell asleep, I realy was going to put her in awake but she was just griozzling too much.

We went to the dog racing tonight so any chance of a routine bedtime is out of the window !
In-laws wanted to go and they are only here for one week.
Brody was asleep at 11 in his crib...not expecting a good night though.

Oscar went to sleep a little angel and woke 3 hours later like the devil himself!
He has now been asleep since 5.45. (nearly 8am here) He's got a right cheek, he has!!!
Sounds like everyone is doing better!

ps. I'm desperate to get back into bed, but Oscar is asleep in it and the bedsprings are very squeeky.... looks like I'm in the crib!

I have visions of you trying to squish into the crib now We had a night with Callum (nightmare), Charlotte (ear infection) and Alex (woken by the other two) in our bed. I ended up in a tiny corner of the bed, Stuart went and slept in Callums bed .

I ended up in a tiny corner of the bed, Stuart went and slept in Callums bed .Seren woke up at 1.45am, 4.15 am then at 6 and 7. But OH is at home so he had her for a bit whilst I had a lie in which has helped. She is currently flat out, on her third nap of the day so hoping she'll sleep a bit better.
Scrap that...I give up. Decided that she wasn't going to fall asleep on the boob so waited til she had finished feeding and then went to put her in her crib. Then it all kicked off, there was no way she was going into the crib she wanted boobie. I have spent the last hour woth a screaming baby and to make it worse she is nopw asleep having been rocked on my shoulder. So I have achieved nothing, put my daughter through an hour of crying for nothing and she still was half asleep when I put her down, the same as she would have been if I let her have boob. OH says the only way he can see anything working is if I put her in crib awake and let her cry but I am not up to that yet. Feel really crap now.
Awww beanie it just takes practise for both of you.

Lots of times I say I'm going to do this to Brody and he ends up asleep before I can put him in his crib so I know how you feel.
Try and find the time when she is so tired she can barely keep her eyes open, but they ARE open, then lie her in the crib and maybe stay in the room, with your arm over her. You can work on removing the arm out of the crib once she's got used to nodding off in there.
Will she sleep in the crib in the day? If you lie her in the crib in the day will she wake up?

Oscar woke at 10, 12.45, 2, stayed awake till 4, 6.30!! I was up at 3 catching up on emails and I just had to put Oscar in his cot to play.... he was driving round the bend!!
I tried to give him water during the night - would'nt have it. Not really taking to the teat.
He's VERY grumpy today. My mum is entertaining him for a minute - I'm pooped!!!

Seren didn't sleep too great either and I ended up just putting her on the boob as I was so tired, but we have had a breakthrough of sorts. She is currently flat out in her bouncer, and she fell asleep all by herself. She had been grizzling for a bit but instead of putting her on the boob til she fell asleep I put her in the bouncer, had a bath and she was asleep by the time I came out. First time she has done that in ages, she always falls asleep on the boob during the day

oh what a night.... i haven't had a night like this with ruben in ages - he usually wakes only once, but last night he woke at 2am and stayed awake until 3.30, then woke at 5am and 6am before finally waking at 7 when i get him up. the heat really messed him up bless him! hope he will be back to his usual waking only once between 4 and 5 tonight... he only fed at 2.30 and didn't want anything later, so i think he was just a bit messed up by his broken sleep in the day. (fingers crossed)
