Housemate Dennis McHugh has been removed from the Big Brother House for unacceptable behaviour.

A number of housemates were involved in an argument at approximately 12.45am this morning (27th June), which resulted from a prank played by Rex that ended in a picture painted by Jennifer being slightly defaced.

During the argument Dennis spat in the face of fellow housemate, Mohamed.

Big Brother intervened immediately to break up the argument. The 'as live' streaming from the house on E4 was cut and no footage was broadcast.

All the housemates involved in the argument were sent to separate bedrooms and kept apart for the rest of the night. Dennis and Mohamed were called separately to the diary room in the early hours to discuss the incident.

After production staff and executives at Channel 4 reviewed the footage this morning, Dennis was called to the diary room a second time at 1:15pm and told he was immediately being removed from the house.

Following Dennis's removal, Big Brother continues to call to the diary room a number of other housemates to discuss their involvement in the argument and remind them of the rules governing housemates' behaviour.

A Channel 4 spokeswoman said: "Spitting in someone's face is seriously offensive and Mohamed was understandably upset. Big Brother has very clear rules about offensive behaviour. Like all housemates Dennis was clearly informed before entering the house that he faced eviction if he acted in an unacceptable manner."

Viewers will be able to see the incident and how it was handled in tonight's highlights show on Channel 4 at 9pm.

Tonight's eviction vote, involving Mohamed and Sylvia, will proceed as planned.



I did like Dennis, but i have to agree. Spitting in someones face is just out of order, its the most degrading thing ever. Tramp.

I found Dennis quite entertaining, but I would go mad if anyone spat in my face, and even madder for spitting at Mo!! Mo is so lovely I just dont understand what everyones problem is with him, hes so gorgeous too *drools*.

i didnt like dennis either and im glad he's gone. cant wait to see the arguement tonight to see who's fault it was really cus housemates r still pointing fingers. im starting to despise the whole jen, dale sylvia clan at the moment and i think its mainly because they all believe that the public will bk them all the way and they think its mohammed goin tonight so i hope they r proved wrong!!!

I agree!

One day, I hope that they don't put a gobby black or mixed race woman in....We are not all like that. Alison Hammond was the only nice one to go in really...and she was out first!

They just choose the same type year after year....And, along with the soaps, add to the stereotype that we simply have too much to say and don't know how to politely say it

Then there are the Barbie dolls, who preem themselves.....and thats it!!! They have no substance whatsoever....and cry if anyone so much as blows on them!

You have the hunks with junk for brains too....very similar to the barbie dolls, so lets call them Ken!

Then there are those they think they know it all and think they can put the world to rights. Often they believe they are a lot more intelligent and 'with it' than they actually are!!! (and are often the sneeky go betweens....who and worm themselves into different groups!)

And then there are the borings....I shall put them with the 'slowly but surely irritate the hell out of you' lot aswell....You kind of ignore them at first. But as big characters go, you simply can't and start to realise they either bore you to tears or some make you want to attack your own TV!!!

Now, maybe I have just ranted and put myself in the gobby blck girl category

I LOVED her (local girl y'see ) and I'm pleased she's got a nice career out of it.

It's true to some extent that BB play to stereotypes and then seem to make every effort to go the other way to portray 'different'. I still have my doubts that Darnell would've had the personaility to get chosen if he wasn't an albino black man

I think the new person will be a glamour girl to stir it up too.

I agree about Darnell....He was chosen to stand out as different....Not for personality. Same as Mikey. And they always have at least one gay person. This year they have simply tried to broaden how many 'different' people they can put in the house....But it is tooo obvious!

Alison Hammond was in the two for one in Hall Green/Solihull sat evening....I remember when I was having my son. I saw her in Evans and she touched my stomach and wished me luck

Dennis is a nasty little shit, that's assault and he is lucky he isn't in more trouble. And Luke has become a horrible little bitch and I can't wait for him to go.
