So second month ttc and pretty sure af is coming later as cramping and spotting have started. I'm feeling pretty low tbh as it was the first cycle where I used opks. Fairly sure we caught the surge and Had plenty of baby bonking. I honestly though we may have cracked it but seems not.

I know many chart temp and I'm considering it this cycle coming but I am a shift worker so taking my temp at the same time each day on waking simply is never ever going to be possible. My shifts are earlies, lates and nights and there is no regular pattern to them.

Is it even worth trying or am I going to get my hopes up even more than with the opks?

I am a flight attendant and used to take my temperature with my previous pregnancy too. I would just take my temp wherever I was. Mostly in the mornings or after a long nap after a night flight. It was impossible to temp each day at the same time! Hope this helps!x

Thank you. That helps to know. Did yiu find that it helped you to conceive even though the times weren't text book?

You have a very hard job btw! We chatted to the flight crew on our flight the other week about what they do in medical emergencies. They were all lovely

Thanks hun! It's not all glitz and glamour!
Taking my temperature helped me pinpoint ovulation. I always thought I OV on the CD14 like they teach you in school but I usually OV on the CD17. So when I thought I was still covered when I had sex on CD11 or CD12, I wasn't! But conception wise, we just did it every day. On the day before OV day we did it twice and the twice on OV day itself!! It worked though!!

When I was doing shifts, I didn't even bother temping. Some days I started work at 6am some days I finished at 8am cos was doing days and nights. I just used Opks x
