I've been trying to lose weight to help with TTC, also I have my sister's wedding coming up in 4 weeks and need to fit into a dress!

For the past two weeks I've been doing SlimFast - when I've done it before I've done so well and lost nearly a stone in two weeks. I know it's not a healthy way to lose weight, but it's a quick fix until this wedding.

First weigh in last week I lost 4lbs, been doing exactly the same this week, if not working harder .. and I've put on 2lbs!!! What on earth is happening :'( I'm sooooo annoyed!!!!! I'm not due on until 29th so it can't be that, and only just ovulated so no chance it's pregnancy.

I know this isn't necessarily TTC related for most, but it is for me and I'm so disheartened. I'm working so hard to lose weight and provide a healthier body for a baby to grow in. Why is everything working against me :(
 
I had to lose a lot of weight for fertility reasons. I used to weigh in each week. Certain times of the month you will carry more water which may make you heavier. I think the problem with calorie restricted diets is that when you stop the weight goes back on. Also if you restrict calories too much your body will go into starvation mode and actually store fat. Also it's quite stressful for the body. I did a low carb, Atkins style diet and lost 1-3lbs a week and lost 9 stone in about 20 months with zero exercise.
 
This is definitely not a sustainable diet. However only doing so for the wedding and not for lifestyle / fertility purposes. Once the wedding is over I will be doing Slimming World as I find it works so well. Hopefully I am just carrying water, as my clothes etc are smaller on me so I know something is happening lol
 
Sometimes measuring with a tape measure is more accurate than weighing.
 
Try slimmung world...I just put on 19lb through stress and ive lost 1 stone in 7 weeks and has been easy... i lost 10lb in 1st 4 weeks. Good luck !
