***September 2018 Mummies***

CC, I know this sounds absolutely ridiculous, but, would it be wind? Trapped wind is bloody horrible when pregnant, I mean, equal to contraction - if not worse! I'm glad you're feeling better, either way.

How was everyones bank holiday weekend?

My scans have all come back great, their heart looks normal, which is a big weight lifted. I had to have the head/face anomaly scan added on to the cardiac one, as baby was face down at the 20 weeks scan and was NOT going to turn around for the life of them, haha!

Is anyone else in a bit of a no mans land with not seeing anyone for anything for a while? Literally next appointment is like... July. I mean it's great because means everything is fine, but still.

I got to hear babies heartbeat at my last MW appointment <3.
MW's still absolutely rubbish and I actually prefer my consultant. I need to change my MW at some point but it's finding the time to go through all the channels.

I hope everyone is feeling okay... Still waiting on that pregnancy glow though here hahaha Xx

Hey all, glad everything went well with your scan Diamond.

So I found out yesterday that my appointments for my anti D, my GTT, my growth scans and my next consultant appointment weren't booked after my last antenatal clinic. I'm trying to be patient as I know the NHS is really stretched and I'm lucky to get free healthcare etc but it's starting to worry me that nothing seems to be working right. I'm just trying to be on the ball and organised to make sure everything gets done... which is really not like me haha

This weeks new pregnancy joy = varicose veins.... on my legs and on my lady parts! So achey and sore. I've been advised to rest with my legs up (sounds nice) but definitely not going to happen in my job.... oh excuse me boss, I've got to lie down today because of my swollen vag! That will go down well!

Hope you're all well x x

Hopefully they will book those asap for you. It's a shame you need to chase these things up but, like you say, I think they're so stretched these mistakes happen. With me, on the other hand, they keep booking me in for the same appointments over and over again, and no one can explain why.

Hopefully the varicose veins will start easing up a bit somehow, anything else you can do apart from resting with your legs up? x

CC, just popping on to say that if you feel a reduction in movement, don't hesitate to call your maternity advice line and get baby monitored. The pains though are highly likely to be trapped wind and your ligaments. I get it regularly now, I mean really regularly where any time I move it can hurt. Fanny daggers are a thing as well with a shooting pain from fanny to belly button. That's a nerve being trapped due to babies position.

I'm 35+5 now and it's just getting worse but...I cam manage it by a little pregnancy safe yoga helping to shift the wind. Discuss with your midwife though if you are concerned.

How on earth is everyone? Xx

You ladies are so quiet, lol...the July mummies thread is bonkers , we struggle to keep up most of the time, lol.

You're all about to get really uncomfortable and I don't know how I would have coped without the ladies in July mummies.

Lean on each other...you'll be really glad you can before long.

Hope you're all well.

It is really really quiet here, although I'm not sure how many of us are even active here anymore? I was hoping the FB group might have helped, but there's still only about 7 of us there!

I'm starting to overall get nervous now, I think the fact I'm 30 weeks this Sunday and how active and strong the little one is is causing the nervousness. Also had the conversation with the husband about birth plans and it's just like "holy shit, we're having a baby" haha.

Hope everyone is alright. x

It’s crazy isn’t it! I still can’t believe that I’m growing a baby and soon will have to push her out and look after her! Hahaha!!

I'm happy to keep popping by, c section date is 27th June...not sure I'll make it that far though, lol. It's nice to have a place to turn to.

Birth plans wise, remember to factor in that it can all change very quickly so try not to get too attached to a particular idea as it can really throw you emotionally if you get told it has to change.

How are all your bumps coming along?

I plan to not plan! Just go with the flow and see what happens! I usually like a good plan but I know if I plan I will want to stick to it and that is unlikely to happen!

My bump is doing good so far I think! Will post a pic 😬

Beautiful bump!!

My birth plan basically consists of most likely getting a taxi to the hospital and wanting to avoid an epidural, if possible. I honestly don't see the point in worrying about it, as whatever happens will happen anyway, so just go with it.

CoveyClover, that's a lovely bump! x

That's a great bump!!! Can't believe we have some ladies 30 weeks now. I'm nearly 25 weeks and you can just see a bump now lol. I've started getting the dreaded calf cramps. They're awful tho not as bad as I had them with my first. Finally flying back home on Tuesday so next couple days are going to be hectic with packing etc x

When they start...immediately point your feet/toes up towards your knees. It works, loads of us have had success with it in our group. X
