***September 2016 Mummies***

what's this bloody weather like .... I'm so sick of it :wall2:
What hospital are you at? I'll either be the Vale if midwife led or RAH if consultant led. Thinking I'll be consultant led as been put down as high risk with previous pregnancies but hoping it could change if I keep ok.

ok thanx girls :), I guess it just depends where about your at, hoping I can be told at booking in when scan is as arranging the other half to get to scans is not going to be easy, plenty of advance notice would help...

Amazing scan picture it is so clear I sooooo can't wait to see ours nerves are going to be wreaked lol

Ive been in alllll day. I got everything I needed last night. Oh why the Vale, are you near dumbarton?

Im having baby at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. I had Jackson there. I can pick Princess Royal but prefer to stick to what I know, plus its closer and nicer I think.. I used to work at both the QEUH and GRI you see lol...

Well I hope you keep well then and dont need consultant led, and if you do its good theyll be keeping an extra eye on ypu and baby.

I used to live Drumchapel, so was Glasgow but Clydebank now, so technically West Dunbartonshire

It's different depending on where you are. In Glasgow we phone a central booking number when we know we are pregnant and you get your booking in appointment and 12 week scan date there and then.

You should be able to see something great at your scan as you'll be 9+ weeks by then, this is mine at 7+3

Im from Glasgow too

But yes, echo this I phoned at 4w and got my booking and scan then.

xxxx

I'm a Scottish girl too

In West Lothian we get a letter sent out to phone the midwife so I'm STILL waiting to hear from them and I'm nearly 9 weeks pregnant.

I'm suffering from terrible sickness! I can't keep anything down and water is like the devil... even the thought of it makes me feel sick. I'm still sipping away at it to not get dehydrated - I had to go to the hospital a few days ago to get some IV Fluids as I just kept being sick every time I ate or drank something.

Hopefully only another few weeks of sickness! I miss enjoying food!

Ah well hope the work stress dies down a bit soon. I'm the same at the moment with the work stuff so thinking of telling my manager that I'm pg so she'll ease up a bit.
I was getting nausea every minute of the day for a week or two but it's eased more now and only seem to get it at certain points. Mainly just tired, spotty and emotional atm haha.
Xxx

I cried at Rise along 2 last night, a fucking cop comedy. Who does that? :|

My manager is a witch, she says my MC was perhaps a blessing in disguise. So Im dreading telling her. Im telling the work girls after my scan at 8w though so I can chillax with lifting, climbing on ladders and desks etc..

Hopefully you skip the sickness bug and glide nicely into tri2 with a few gags

xxxx

Omg that's disgusting!!! Did you report her?! That's so completely out of order :-( I don't think my work will be too happy but they wouldn't say they weren't - not to my face anyway!

And haha I've cried at the most ridiculous things - was watching princess and the frog with my dd yesterday for the fourth time in 4 days and have cried hard every single time when the little bug dies and becomes a star. Also cried this morning because I couldn't find a clean pair of socks.

Yep hopefully we will both skip the actual puking! I was quite sick last time around.
Xxx

Nooo, at the time my head was up its arse, and now well theres no point. But any snide comments this pregnancy will be noted. I hate bitchiness, just stop being a shit bag and moan to my face so I can tell you to your face its gpt F all to do with you!! (Can u tell im prepared lol)

Ok you win, Ive not cried in frustration yet. Just a softie sometimes..

Me too, for 9m. I thought it was 5w I was sick before, it was from like 8w on, so Ive hopefully atleast got 2 weeks puke free.

You having an early scan? Or had one? Xxx

Well definitely let them have it if any comments are made this time around!

Eesh hope you don't get so sick this time - 9m can't have been much fun!

Yep had early scam yesterday - took her a few mins to get baby on screen so I started to freak out but then saw the little blob and hb :-) feeling a bit more reassured although the 12wk scan still seems ages away!

Are you having an early scan?
Xxx

Hi girls happy sunday!! :)

Hate when I type something and it goes poof lol anyone else have baby brain I had a bad memory before but now it is ridiculous :wall2:

naomi...were you able to see much on the scan? We have our's saturday scared but excited!!

scn....Harmony test sounds amazing, little expensive though best of luck with it, even if I could afford it I don't think it is offered here only heard off it in your post.

Midwife booking in appointment on thurday do you girls know if we will get the scan dates then or will it be in the post?

Aw not long to wait now! Mine was similar to Karen's - saw it quite clearly once they managed to find the baby on screen - think I had had a bit too much water as my bladder was huge and I was sure I was going to pee myself while she was prodding my tummy!! Baby looked like a little blob :-) amazing how much they change between this point and the 12 week scan. Xxx

Ahh Im literally just near Singer station. I previously lived in Duntocher but not long moved.

I did my work placement at yorkhill years ago, loved it. The new yorkhill is so diff. Jackson had a stay in YH last Christmas and we visited the new one, its more colourful and newer but nothing amazing. Spose the smart boards in waiting area is a good idea..

Its a small world, yous scots will get why I gush over a roll egg n tottie scon, although had to cook my yolks to jelly, no fun!!

Mmmmm love a roll n tottie scone with brown sauce! I'm still having runny yolks, as long as it's from lion stamped eggs it should be fine. I even had a mcflurry tonight

I went by that rule last time, but just cooking them for now. I ate runny yolks the whole way with J but I literally would splash a bit of oil so today I had them jelly gooey. Was still lovely. Had a scon egg scon bun. And a can of irn bru.

Not ever been much of a bru lover, so I think its an early craving.

I used to be a coke kinna gal. Cant drink it now..

You should get a scan date then ... That's how it works where I'm going, got mine either tomorrow or Tuesday ... They sent me 2 appointments so I'm going to ring in the morning to sort it x

Bit frustrated, got an appointment letter to 'see one of the obstetrics team' for 29th April.... Will be day before I'm 21 weeks, meant to be a 16wk appt ffs. Will be right on the phone to them tomorrow. I'd have had both scans and not seen anyone since booking at 8wks at that rate. Meh.

Hey all! How are we all doing? I can't believe how quickly time is going! I'm now 10+4! Got my scan on the 18th which has caused a bit of family upset *sigh* anyway! I haven't had any sickness as of yet, just a couple of heaves. I can find baby with Doppler easily and can't wait to see it again! Here is my 9+2 scan from the other week too! X

Jeez that's mental! We see someone at 8 weeks, 10 weeks, 16 weeks and then 19/20 weeks - that's a horribly long time to wait!!

I've massively over done it at work today and am lying on the sofa now feeling achy and exhausted. Going to tell my boss tomorrow so they stop putting so much on my plate. Hard to find a moment when there aren't others listening as it's a small office!

Millie has woken a couple of times already so think I am in for a long night! Xxx

That's such a lush scan pic :-) not long for you to wait now for your scan :-)
Xxx

Thank you! I know I'm getting excited! I have a gender scan booked too but that seems to be miles away! X

Oo exciting. Think we are going to try and stay team yellow again. Do you have a gut feeling yet either way? Xxx
