***September 2016 Mummies***

Hi Aragon sorry to hear about your job, if you take a secondment you are still on the same terms and conditions of your original contract so will still qualify for maternity pay. You don't legally need to inform your work until 25 weeks i think xxxx

Thanks Gem. I'm going to see if there is a secondment. Will give me some time.
Said I'd take OH out tonight... Don't fancy anything!!!! All I want is plain food... Might book Italian.
Xx

Got a few things in the pipeline providing all goes well
12th Feb scan and booking in appointment (10wks)
16th Feb harmony test (10wks 4 days)
29th Feb dating scan (12wks 3 days)

Ah that's exciting that you've got your dating scan through :-) don't know much about the harmony test - it's the noninvasive one isn't it?

I'm feeling really nervous tonight about my scan tomorrow. Xxx

Yes Naomi, it's bloods and a detailed scan, can even find out the sex of baby.
Good luck for tomorrow, I'm sure it'll be amazing!

What's a harmony test? X

Harmony test is non invasive prenatal screening. It involves taking a blood sample which gets sent to America for testing for chromosomal disorders. The mothers blood has fetal DNA in it and this is what they test. It's more accurate than NHS screening and can only be done privately.

Ah thankyou, I had never heard of it before x

Argh that was nerve wracking... It took her a good few minutes to find the baby - last time when i was pregnant with millie at epu they did an internal scan but it was external at the private clinic and so took her a bit to get the baby up on the screen. I got to the point where I was about to freak out and then she found it and I saw that beautiful flickering heartbeat. So relieved!
She's dated me 7weeks 4 days - thought I ovulated late although not going to change my due date on here til dating scan in case it changes again.

Literally so relieved I could cry! Think part of me has been terrified there just wasn't going to be anything there so hoping I will be a bit calmer now!

Xxx

Congratulations Naomi. You must be so relieved :-)
Xx

Glad it went well Naomi, you can relax now xx

I seem to have hormone surges every weekend when I roll over to a new Weekly milestone. Nine weeks today. Was starving for the 48 hours till lunch today then exhaustion hit me and I got wobbly again. Crashed on couch again. Already in bed.

Not long til your next scan now Karen :-) xxx

I know, a bit of anxiety starting to creep in! Just wish pregnancy could be a joyous time for me but hey oh just need to plod on xx

That's understandable hun as it's been a long road for you but this is your time. Hopefully with each passing week you'll feel a bit more positive xxx

I feel totally positive until scan dates loom and get nearer lol, think it's a bit of self preservation kicking in ..... if I think the worse and it happens then I'm not totally shocked.
